Pickup details

We'll pick you up where you're staying in Downtown Seattle including any hotel, Airbnb, hostels, and the port. If you are staying outside our legal downtown pick-up zone, we are happy to meet you at our default pick up location—The Sheraton Grand Hotel. We offer pick-up on Bainbridge Island or in Port Angeles upon request. We will call/text/email the afternoon of day prior to your tour to confirm your pick-up location and exact pick-up time. No need to check-in before we contact you (unless you have a question, of course!).

What To Expect

After being picked up at your hotel in downtown Seattle, climb into a luxury vehicle and begin the journey to Olympic National Park.

The park features snow-covered mountains, rain forests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, including sixteen species of plants and animals that evolved here—and nowhere else. Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment.

Learn forest ecology and the geology of the stunning Olympic Mountains. Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for incredible mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of stunning Crescent Lake in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This lake was carved by glaciers, so it’s an ideal spot for those in search of natural beauty. On days when weather closes access to Hurricane Ridge, visit the sandy coastline of the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge or spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley.

At midday, a gourmet picnic is provided. Please see the Itinerary section for menu information.

We knew we could navigate the Seattle area ourselves. However, the mountains and surrounding areas were challenging and we really wanted to get a taste of the beautiful area! Our Viator tour was worth every penny!! We had two ferry rides which allowed us to snap some great photos of the Seattle skyline. We snowshoed Hurricane Ridge which was my number one objective for our day. We also visited a waterfall and a wonderful beach. We saw a totem pole receiving its finishing touches. We had a great breakfast, a wonderful picnic lunch and some yummy snacks throughout the day. We happened upon an area where trees were being cleared. Very cool to see the trees being packed up and headed to their new life. Our guide, Sean, was delightful. He was VERY knowledgeable and taught us much about the Olympic National Park and the Olympic National Forest. He also had some wonderful stories about the area and how names and places came to be. Our photos from the day are amazing! Absolutely, 100% recommend this tour to truly enjoy the mountains surrounding Seattle.

Had a great time walking in snowshoe on Hurricane ridge with the group, well planned to begin there to see the view, started some raindrops as we left
Great day!!

Marty was great!! Pick up was on time. Was initially concerned about cost but in retrospect was totally worth it. Marty was welcoming, put us at ease, and a wealth of knowledge regarding the areas and history of area. Marty let us know what was planned and what to expect regarding difficulty of hike / terrain as needed. Locations he took us to were great, loved the diversity of each site. My adult daughter got to see a tide pool.lol Lunch, snacks and of course cookie were great thank you to your caterer. Can't really improve because weather was great as well.

My experience with Evergreen tours was great! Pre-experience, the team at Evergreen was patient and informative in preparing us for the trip, providing quick and good waterproof boots rental for our snow-shoe activity. Our guide, Karen, was energetic and lovely, which made our tour experience so much better. She was knowledgeable about the places we went, and her passion for nature was contagious. The tour also provided snacks and drinks throughout the trip, and made sure we were comfortable the whole way even through the 2 hour commute there and back!
Great time in Olympic National Park.

Karen Woodworth did an amazing job with this tour. She was very informative and answered all the questions we had as a group. The whole day was made special because she took the time to get to know all of us and helped us out during the journey. The whole day was full of snacks and drinks and we were never left wanting. This was our first and best experience on a tour. Will definitely recommend to anybody else.

The catered lunch and the snacks throughout the tour were delicious. We saw some main highlights of the park while learning the park's history, and had a lot of fun. Karen offered us an unforgettable experience. We began our day with a punctual pickup in a spacious van. We were provided with a light breakfast on the ferry. My highlight of the trip was snowshoeing in Olympic National Park. We were also taken throughout the park to experience the best of it. On our way back, we were able to see the beautiful night skyline of Seattle via the ferry. I highly recommend this all day outing.

Highly recommendable
SOFIAE_M, Jan 2024
Our guide Martin M., was awesome. He made every moment enjoyable because he listened to our questions and prepared a very healthy/delicious meal that we enjoyed on a picnic in the middle of the forest. At that moment, I felt like I was in a movie because we were in a beautiful group enjoying a meal had a lovely table with silverware and everything in the middle of a beautiful forest close to the river. We visited Hurricane Ridge. Also, we visited the most extensive dam removal on Elwha River, and learned the wonders of nature to repair and heal human destruction. We enjoyed the incredible view of the Olympic Mountains, and even though I decided not to make the walk on the snow for personal reasons, the rest of the group had a fantastic time with the wonders of the trail. In the meantime, I also enjoyed being in such a magnificent landscape. We also visited a park on the Coast with beautiful views and a deeply peaceful experience. The views of the trip were so enjoyable that the 12 hours went very fast. It was like a dream to be grateful my whole life.

With his extensive knowledge of the geography and history of Washington State, our guide Marty made our tour of Olympic Park a true pleasure. Something in his tone made us feel a good friend with local roots was showing us around. He also adapted well to our preferences.

Incredible tour - multiple hikes, delicious lunch, and Jackie was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide! The timing this time of year meant we saw the sunrise on the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Got lucky with great weather and a great tour group but this would have been an amazing trip regardless. Highly recommend!

Beautiful day in Olympic National Park
Julie_O, Oct 2023
I came to Seattle wanting to tour three different parks. This tour of Olympic National Park was wonderful. I arrived at pickup point about five minutes before pick up time. Mal introduced herself, and then the group made introductions. We arrived at the Bainbridge ferry without issue. I am a vegetarian but I guess I missed the prompt to mention this (jet lag purchase); however, I was happy to have vegan options for breakfast on the ferry and lunch because there was a vegan on the trip. (Do not forget to mention your dietary restrictions because the tour company is very accommodating.) The drive from the ferry to the park was relaxing— good music! Lots of snacks and drinks. Good lunch. Mal gave us a choice of what we wanted to do (more hiking/fewer sights vs shorter hikes/more vehicle time/more sights). We went with a middle option. The hikes were perfect. I visited Mt Rainier NP the day before so was happy to not have super challenging hikes. I enjoyed the flexibility and options. Loved seeing a couple of waterfalls and the forests were so lovely. Weather was perfect! On the way home we did have a snag when ferries were running maybe an hour behind? So Mal encouraged us to walk into Bainbridge for food/bathrooms/beverages while we waited. I enjoyed the chance to see the town. Overall, loved the tour, would repeat, and highly recommend!
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you for taking the time to write such a complete review, Julie! Our guides have free rein to decide which of the beautiful options of Olympic National Park to visit, and it sounds like Mal did a great job catering the day to what your group was looking for! I'm glad you enjoyed your lunch and snacks! We do our best to send vegetarian options on every tour, and we are happy to accommodate for dietary restrictions! Thank you for traveling with Evergreen Escapes! I hope we see you again soon! Best, Liz | Evergreen Escapes
Worth the ride
Karen_P, Oct 2023
We got to see the best parts of the park; we had gorgeous weather, and beautiful sights to see on the tour, but the thing that made this trip the most memorable was our tour guide, Evan. This was a long trip, as far as travel times to get to and from, as we took the ferry from Seattle over to the park. Evan made sure to get the entire group of tourists on the bus get involved in the ride there and back! I truly appreciated his interaction with us, his vast knowledge of so many attributes of the park, including the vegetation, the climate and the nature! We learned so much about so many different things, which was simply amazing!
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a great review! Evan definitely has a special talent of bringing people together, we get quite a few reviews lauding his success at making the drive time fly by! It's reviews like this that emphasize how much of a difference a good tour guide can make, even on a perfect day! Thank you for traveling with Evergreen Escapes, we hope to see you again on your next trip to the Pacific Northwest! Best, Liz | Evergreen Escapes
