Roam through Woodinville wine country, nestled in the beautiful Sammamish River Valley just 30 minutes northeast of Seattle and home to over 100 wineries and tasting rooms. Visit three boutique wineries for a wine tasting with local meats, cheeses and crackers served. Hotel pickup and drop-off from downtown Seattle accommodations included.

We'll pick you up where you're staying in Downtown Seattle! If you are staying outside our legal pick up zone, we are happy to meet you at our default pick up location—Sheraton Grand Hotel (1400 6th Ave). We also pickup in downtown Bellevue (Hyatt Regency Bellevue) upon request. We will call you the afternoon of the day prior to your tour to confirm your pick-up location and exact pick-up time. No need to check-in before we contact you (unless you have a question, of course!). If you're unclear whether your hotel is a part of our downtown zone, give us a call!

Our tour guide, Savannah, was terrific. She is an experienced hiker who put us all at ease by sharing her story with us. As she shared her knowledge of the area, it was clear how much she loved Washington and what it has to offer. It was a beautiful day to view Snoqualmie Falls before visiting three wineries. All of them showed us a different facet of wine making in Washington. We hummed along to a playlist of all of our favourite songs that Savannah had collected as we drove back to Seattle, feeling mellow from the sunshine, the wine and the good company.

In addition to being blessed with an absolutely beautiful day, the tour itself was great! The falls were amazing to see, although it was a bit of a hike (just in case there is anyone in your group that may not be able to handle walking some slopes with gravel) - but worth it if you're able! And I can't say enough about the wine tour and tastings. Our tour guide was fun, friendly and kept everyone moving to stay on time, but did so professionally and always with a smile. He was well-equipped with water, snacks, sunglasses - even walking canes, if needed. And the wineries we visited had not only great wine, but beautiful atmosphere. The best was Grassie - the landscape, the lunch, the wine, the education - all phenomenal. The JW winery was just okay - didn't quite get the personal touch we expected (this is not the tour's fault - the person who served us seemed in a hurry, and we didn't get a lot of education or personal attention). Then the last stop - The Prohibition - was another phenomenal winery with a terrific host, great wines and great atmosphere. As a whole, it was a terrific day and our entire group thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Tour guide was excellent and very friendly. Quick hike through Snoqualmie State Park and then off to sample some tasty local wines. Our group was a lot of fun and quite diverse. Only minor complaint was that we only visited tasting rooms and didn’t learn a great deal about the wine-making process itself. Otherwise, this was a very enjoyable experience and is a highly recommended excursion outside of Seattle proper.

Sometimes the wineries have private events or other happenings just depending on the day, so I apologize you didn't get to fully see the behind the scenes view on this particular day. For travelers interested in getting the vineyard experience, we strongly recommend our Mount Rainier + Yakima Wine Tasting Tour available July - October. There is a beautiful nature trail to walk from the top to the bottom of the falls, but travelers who are not interested in the short walk can always enjoy a vehicle transfer from the guide down to the lower viewing platform. Ben was a great tour guide, his knowledge was very impressive and he was great with all of his guests. However, I am not sure I feel the value was worth the price we paid. I imagined going to actual wineries, not tasting rooms. Also, I would highly recommend doing charcuterie boards at each place and/or doing a few wine pairings. I think that would take the tour to the next level and would make me feel it was worth the price.

Hi Kelsey, Thanks for your review and your feedback! We are always looking to improve, so we appreciate the thoughts. Unfortunately, most of the vineyards in Washington are on the East side of the state, and would require a much longer day with more driving than our winery tour here on the West side of the state. We do have a tour that visits Mount Rainier, and then goes to the East side of the state to visit some vineyards in the Yakima Valley though! The wineries we visit during our Snoqualmie Falls and wine tour are where most of the production is done for those particular brands, and we try to go to smaller locations where you can actually speak with the wine makers and owners of the wineries to hear about their stories and their processes. What perfect day to view the falls ! Was a great time and easy walk to see them. The wine tasting was also very good, but too many wine at the first location (I think there was 11 bottles tried at venue #1 all up !!!). All in all a great day seeing and tasting what Seattle has to offer.
