What To Expect

Board an air-conditioned coach at your central Tel Aviv hotel for your day trip to Old and New Jerusalem, located around 1.5 hours away.

En route, listen as your guide charts Jerusalem’s tangled past. Hear about its 3,000-year-old history, and how the city has been held sacred by the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths since the biblical era.

Visit the Mount of Olives for splendid views over the walled Old City, including the golden Dome of the Rock at the Temple of the Mount. Then, drive along the Kidron Valley past the Garden of Gethsemane, Dormition Abbey and other sites before entering the Old City through the Zion Gate.

Follow the twisting alleyways of the Armenian Quarter to the Jewish Quarter, and pass the Byzantine Cardo, the city’s main thoroughfare during Byzantine times. See the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), where thousands of Jewish worshippers gather, and enter the Christian quarter to trace some of the route taken by Jesus to his crucifixion along the Via Dolorosa.

View some of the Stations of Cross  (no. 5-14) on route to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site of Calvary, the place of Jesus' crucifixion. Then, pass through the Jewish Marketplace and Jaffa Gate and drive to New Jerusalem to the Holocaust Museum, a striking building dedicated to the six million and more victims of the Holocaust of WWII.

Head inside to take in the artifacts and testimonies set out in the galleries, and end your explorations at the deeply poignant Hall of Names, where biographies of the victims are held.

Afterward, your tour finishes with a drop-off at your Tel Aviv hotel.

Please note: the Holocaust Museum is closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish holidays. On these days, your visit here will be replaced by a visit to Mount Zion and the Gethsemane church.

Perfect day in the Old City.
Keith_C, Mar 2024
A great tour and experience. Our tour guide was both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Pick up in Tel Aviv, informative ride to Jerusalem, and a personalized walk through and around the old city. The best way to see the city if you only have one day.
Was “ok”
Julia_B, Jul 2023
The guide was ok. Didn’t talk much not give much info on the place but was decently ok. The place was beautiful but the food they gave was wasn't all that good. The worst shaurma i ever ate!!! They didn't really give us enough time to shop in the stores.
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Thank you for your feedback on your tour. We apologize if the guide's level of information and engagement was not up to your expectations. Regarding the shopping time, we understand that it can be challenging to strike the right balance for everyone on the tour. We aim to provide sufficient time for shopping while also keeping the tour on schedule. We appreciate your input and will continue to refine our itineraries to enhance the overall customer experience.
Rushed and disrespected
Lisa_M, Jun 2023
We were rushed through the old city with no time to shop for souvenirs except at one designated shop. We were given no choice about where to eat and forced to eat with the group at an over-priced restaurant. In the end, we were only given one hour at the Holocaust museum. I felt rushed and offended. There was no way to get a full experience in only one hour. Jerusalem was supposed to be the highlight of my trip, but this tour was a big let down.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the tour. Our tours aim to provide a comprehensive experience within the allocated time. While we strive to balance site visits and personal time, guided tours require adherence to a schedule to cover all planned destinations. We apologize if you felt rushed and disrespected during your visit to the old city. Our guides manage time effectively to ensure a fulfilling experience for the entire group. A reasonable time is dedicated to the Holocaust museum, an important part of our tour. Restaurant choices consider factors such as quality, proximity, and group accommodation. We understand pricing preferences may vary. Your feedback helps us improve our services.
Great trip to see the important sites in Jerusalem
Ovidiu_C, Jun 2023
Great day trip from Tel Aviv, to see the most important sites in Jerusalem! You start early in the morning, around 6:30. Pick up point was far from my hotel, but they were kind enough to wait for me. We finished around 5pm, which is more than enough as the day was full and we were all beat. We saw all the important sites and if there is time and the line is not to long you can even visit the Holy sepulchre inside. There is a fixed spot for lunch, with delicious food and a terrace with a view. Out guide, Dima, was very friendly and gave us information about every place. And, also, about life in Israel, culture, migrants, recommendations for restaurants! Great way to visit Jerusalem!
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great trip and enjoyed visiting the important sites in Jerusalem. We're pleased to hear that our guide, Dima, was friendly and provided information not only about the places you visited but also about life in Israel. We believe that a knowledgeable and personable guide can greatly enhance the tour experience.
Great tour, pour guide
Mark_H, Feb 2023
The tour and sights we saw were great. Tour guide was a little pushy, opinionated and factually incorrect on many things he spoke about. I recommend the tour, 5 stars, but tour guide avishai, 2 stars.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Glad to know you enjoyed the locations visited. Regretful of your impression of Avi Shai. Will certainly convey this to him for his accountability as well. as improvement of competence.
We learned so much
jack_g, Dec 2022
So much to know and learn! Our tour guide Eyal knew everything! Very informative and a great way to introduce yourself to the wonders of this amazing city!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Thanks for sharing that you were most satisfied traveling with Eyal. and that you came away having had an interesting and enlightening tour experience with him. Indeed you visited a spectacular city!
Bad time management
Steven_O, Nov 2022
Jerusalem is an amazing city but in this tour you'll stay in a Cafeteria for one hour and then in a souvenir store for 40 minutes, then you'll hardly get 20 minutes to enjoy the important places mentioned in the tour, if you have the chance of going by your own, better to do so. Also, the tour was in English and Spanish, so the guide was saying every sentence in both languages wich was very annoying.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
We are regretful that this, was your experience.Waiting can be annoying. We clearly list that tours may be bilingual. This is a logistic we yet cannot overcome since Covid, due to guide availibility as well as vokumes of travelers. Time is not lost though. Group shared tours donot suit everyone,as there is the element of group management and transportation.

Great to read you had a memorable tour experience with Bein Harim.

guillermo_r, Aug 2022
Tour guide was phenomenal. The way the trip was structured a bit confusing. Not sure I got the full experience. The Wailing wall was a moment to remember, as were out walks thru the markets. Still founded lacking...something was missing. Hope my next one is better.
COULD BE AMAZING
Angela_M, Aug 2022
The trip itself could be fabulous, unfortunately we had a negligent guide called UDI who ruined our experience. The places we were supposed to go to and spend a lot of time at were cut short due to him stopping for an hour for coffee, 90 minutes for lunch then an hour in his favourite shop in Jerusalem. We had no choice about where to eat, there were 2 options, he left most of the group crossing main roads and was very negligent going to where he wanted to be leaving us to do catch up. The old city is beautiful and Yad Vashem is heart wrenching, however we weren’t given enough time at any of the places. He is passionate about politics and history which helped take the sting out of, what could only be to me a badly organised day.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
We are sorry to read that this was the nature of your experience guided by Udi. He is a highly praised guide on our team so this report is surprising and he will certainly be asked to answer what you have mentioned here. Lunch is only 60 mins according to all tour schedules, that's why we stop at a location that serves groups. On such a group tour it is simply not possible to wonder off on ones own to find lunch, especially in the Old city. Invariably causes delay and people get lost disrupting the tour schedule. We will certainly reiterate this matter of schedule and time management to him for future attention .
Good for short on time
Lealoa_N, Jul 2022
I went on this tour last minute because my other Jerusalem tour got cancelled. If you’re short on time, this would be the tour for you. With that being said, it’s kind of rushed. Wish I could’ve had more time in the old city. The food place was chosen for us and it was mediocre.
Amazing guide, amazing tour
Judith_B, Jun 2022
Udi was amazing - he is such a good story teller and made sure we didn't overheat by pausing in shades spots. It was amazing to see all the historical biblically relevant and geopolitically relevant spots.
Less flexibility to wonder around
Tamta_M, May 2022
We almost had no time to wonder around, we were given small amount of time to discover sites. Also they don’t give you an option to shop or eat in a place you want. They could have just given you an hour for lunch instead of forcing us to eat in a place we did not like.
Response from Host, May 2022
Dear Tamta, We are sorry that you felt this way about the tour. But you joined up an organized tour which is just this. We cannot allow people to wonder off independently for shopping or for eating in this place. The issue is those who get lost or come late cause serious and wanton delay to shedule. The organsation is so that the group keep to together and do not get lost especially in the Old City. Restaurants cater for groups with rich and varied authentic menus. We try to cater for all types on our tours. We hope you were able to enjoy the sites nevertheless. Sincerely, Bein Harim team
Disappointing, guide was telling very little about the sights
Betti_B, May 2022
The group was not too big(18people) but half spoke only french, so our guide told every sentence in English and in French. Abraham seams to be a nice person, but he was telling only very little about the sights and about the bible stories, so I was disappointed. The tour was more about driving us there, guiding us from one place to the other and telling a little bit here and there.
Response from Host, May 2022
Dear Betti we are regretful that this was the nature of your tour experience with us. Abraham will be asked to take this feedback seriously and offer substantial commentary as is required! It is not the standard of our tours as you see by the many rave reviews before and after yours!
More than five stars if I could!
Clara_L, Apr 2022
This tour was fantastic and our guide, Itaman, was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. His enthusiasm was great. The tour provided a really comprehensive experience of the old city of Jerusalem and I loved visiting each quarter. The final stop at Yad Vashem was very moving.
Response from Host, Apr 2022
Thanks Clara for sharing this complementary review of the tour guided by Itamar. He sure is worthy of your praise for his guidance, porfessional tour managment and interesting commentary. Hope to see you again.
Great day
Emilee_P, Apr 2022
It was a great day touring Jerusalem. Salomon was a great tour guide and kept the day fun and interactive.
Response from Host, Apr 2022
Thanks for sharing this complementary review of your tour ,as a memorable experience with your guide. He sure is worthy of your praise. Hope to see you again.
Nice experience and excellent guide
Paloma_M, Mar 2022
It was a great experience, I’m a solo traveler and finding a tour where I feel safe and learn as much as possible it’s essential. The guide was helpful and always answering questions and happy to share her knowledge. Definitely you do need a tour guide to walk the old city and harim tours are comfortable and good quality for the price.
Jerusalem Tour Well Organised
Cld, Mar 2020
I enjoyed the trip to Jerusalem and the whole trip was well organised and managed. My only criticism was the lack of time in Yad Vashem. One hour was not enough, or it would be doable if the visit was guided but I ran out of time half way which was a real shame.
Great for a quick tour... get ready for a long stay at Holocaust museum
Gregory_R, Feb 2020
Was great given I only had time for a short trip. Wonderful guide— knowledgeable and engaging. Felt a little rushed in Jerusalem and spent way, way too long at the Holocaust museum.
Super tour
Andreia_J, Jan 2020
The tour was pretty good and very complete, the guide was amazing and you totally noticed that she knows what she’s talking about. The only down for me was just when you have to go to a souvenir store to buy things, of course no one is obligated to buy, but it’s a bit annoying. Guess it’s “normal” in this touristic tours...
