Private Murano and Burano tour with a personal touch

This trip is a private tour by a tour giude who meets you at your hotel in Venice and walks with you to the private boat. There were only 2 of us on this tour plus the guide (Federico) and the boat captain. Federico was extremely knowledgeable and provided little side stories about the area around Venice. He walked with us and stayed with us at each stop - continuing with more stories. We went to Murano first to a glass blowing factory where beautiful, colorful pieces of glassware was handmade. Next we took our private boat to Burano to learn about lace making. Afterwards Federico walked us around the small village and we stopped for delicious gelato. The tiny little island is so quaint and picturesque with the very colorful old buildings and flowers. Federico is so personable and attentive when speaking with you. He cares about people and his home city of Venice and it shows in his actions. When we came back to the city of Venice he asked if we were hungary and walked us to a very nice restaurant and made sure we were seated right away and taken good care of by the staff. Very highly recommend him as a tour guide for an informative but relaxed tour.

Our tour guide Rachele is the primary reason for the 5 star rating. She imparted her knowledge while also providing personal context and recommendations throughout the tour. The Murano tour was highly enjoyable as we love their product and loved seeing the craftsmen share their unique skills. The showroom is amazing and we appreciated the opportunity to make a discounted purchase. We also enjoyed the visit to Burano. Rachele’s lunch rec. was great. Also loved being out on the water getting an overall tour. Rachele is a Venetian treasure.

Watching glass blown at glass factory in Murano was the best part but that didn’t last too long. I liked walking around Burbank. But this tour is really just a trip to try to get you to buy glass and lace

Dear traveller this tour has a suggested programm but beeing a private tour can be coustomized following guest requests. Glass manufacture and lace work are the most representitive tradition of Venice. if you would have watch more glass manufacture or walk more in Burano should have advise your guide Anyway tour duration is between 4 and 5 hours, maybe you was expecting a 10 hour tour? Selena was a delightful guide and provided great information on the areas we visited. Loved Burano Island - walking around and lunch. Liked the glass factory we visited on Murano Island. Sorry we missed Torcello Island due to rainy conditions, but that gave us more time on Burano. Highly recommend this experience.

Our tour operator was Glass Factory Colleoni and our guide was Eleanor. This was our favorite experience in Italy. They picked us up from our Hotel directly and we spent two hours on Murano and two on Burano. There was not enough time to enjoy. Eleanor was outgoing and provided a lot of information about the islands of venice and the glass and lace businesses that we visited. We purchased beautiful glass pieces and ended up buying lace goods as well. We looked the walk down the main strip on Burano and enjoyed eating those crunchy yet chewy Burano biscuits. While we did not have enough time to dine on Burano we loved every minute on being on this pretty island of Venice. One lady even invited us into her home to see her place! Pure joy.
