Nice but could have been better.
Rolf_G, Nov 2022
The glass demonstration is good but very short and we did not see an actual factory. We were thinking it would be more like Waterford in Ireland. The shop was great and the pricing is very good compared with Venice and even online - they can even ship for you.
Burano-a must see!
Andrea_B, Oct 2022
Murano was fun to watch as a master glass blower created 2 pieces. Loved, loved, loved Burano. So much history and beauty. Wish I could have stayed there longer. Only negative is if you visit on a Monday, not all merchants are open for business.
Interesting boat trip
Allison_C, Sep 2022
Burano was a beautiful island and I loved exploring the shops and taking pictures. Murano was pointless and a waste of time. It was more of a stop to promote the glass blowing items from the shop. There wasn’t much direction from the guide of where to go so I would say the tour was fully independent.

The operator of tour is Park Viaggi is your company that Viator used and they are so understanding, highly recommend them
Worst seating ever but everything else was wonderful x
Simon_P, Jul 2022
The scenery’s was beautiful and staff were very friendly but the seating has got to be the most uncomfortable part it’s let the trip down for me
Disappointed but partly my fault
Blair_E, Jun 2022
Showed up at scheduled time and ferry already left. Should have been there early but couldn’t find the stand.
Ok
Colin_S, Jun 2022
The Islands are very pretty & worthwhile but the "semi-guided" tour was just a short demonstration of glass making at the glass factory. It was fine, but I think it would have been better to take the public transportation boat & spend more time on each island.
Beautiful Sightseeing Tour!

Great trip with enough time. Glass blowing experience was amazing both for kids and adults. Must see islands while traveling Venice.
A bit boring
Smriti_L, Jan 2020
First they will take you to a glass making factory. And I could not really understand the guide's english. Could not even tell when she switched to English. Then, they took is to Burano and left us to have lunch and explore by ourselves for 90 minutes. 90 minutes was not a lot of time!! It took about 40 minutes for lunch, cause everyone came at once!! That left us 25 minutes to wander around, and 25 minutes to get back to the boat!!
Beautiful and peaceful
Marc_H, Jan 2020
This was a great trip. The boat was very clean and comfortable. The guide explained points of interest along the way in 4 languages. The stops on the islands were just the right lengths of time to explore. We had a lovely day on this tour.
Just do it!

The tour was fantastic! We felt we had more than enough time on each island and enjoyed it being semi-independent. On the boat ride, the tour guide gave fun facts about surrounding areas. I do want to mention that finding the "yellow booth" was very difficult. We looked for 20 mins and found the booth no where close to the water and three bridges away from entry on the boat (we had to run to catch the boat in time)-so be sure to give yourself a lot of time!
Tourist trap
Maria_P, Oct 2019
A boat takes you to a glass store in Murano where a 10 minute demonstration is made of 2 glass blowing techniques. You have an hour to buy various glass items inside one store that is attached to the pier. There is no exit from this one store. Once the hour is up, you are taken to Burano. The entire place feels like a weird tourist trap. The setting is nice but it's literally boat loads of tourists descending onto one street of shops and restaurants with one hour to decide if you want to eat or buy things. If there was a tour guide giving any insight during the 2 hours spent on the boat...I must have somehow missed it all even though I sat in the main cabin. As advertised I suppose. But very very basic experience with 0 soul.
I would not do it again
squirtlapenna2014, Oct 2019
Way to rushed. An hour on Murano a deter the glass demonstration (he was neat) and basically they let out our in their shop to spend your money and heard you back on the boat and wisk you off to Murano for 1.5 hrs which ASI ally have you enough time to find a place and eat lunch. No time to browse & shop. We went back to both islands the next day with the water bus and spent the whole day eating & shopping & exploring. Get a water bus pass for $20 for the whole day and you can hop on and off as much as you like.
Rushed but ok for the price
Jenny_G, Oct 2019
The tour is OK, not great. As many other reviewers mentioned you do feel very rushed .. I wish I had more time to explore the islands. Murano’s glass factory demonstration was very short and then we left to explore outside right away to get a feel for the island. I’m burano we had some time to get lunch but hardly had any time to explore. You won’t be able to hear the tour guide at all on the boat — the speaker system sucks. Sitting in the rear outer area exposes you to the gas smoke and fumes so watch out for that!! Overall it’s fine if you want to get a feel for the islands without having to navigate the vaparetto system but I hindsight I would have preferred to have a more leisurely time.
Great trip

Loved visiting the islands, beautiful day. Have lunch on Burano. Beautiful place just to walk around

Highly recommend this tour, staff were very friendly and helpful. We got to see the glass blowing, lace making and had a lovely lunch on a beautiful island. Weather was stunning, which always helps though.
Great visit with a short amount of time
Jason_M, Aug 2019
Well organised. Ran on schedule. This was perfect excursion to visit the two islands in a short space of time. We had to be leaving Venice that day to travel to Lake Garda, so only had a few hours. Caught the 11am trip and was back in Venice for 3.30pm. Got to see a glass blowing demo on Murano and visit the shop then onto beautiful Burano. Had an hour and half here to catch some lunch, wander and grab an ice cream. Boat doesn’t hang about. You’re late, you’re left behind - which is great so everyone else doesn’t have to hang around. Only thing was the guy on the stall when you sign in didn’t want to be there, but interaction with all other staff was great. Brilliant trip.
Burano good,Murano a tourist trap
Chris W, Aug 2019
The trip over was great and boarding was easy. Murano though was a bit of a disappointment as this did not visit a current glass factory just a disused factory showing one man blowing glass and then a big shop (a tourist trap). You don't get to see the main glass factory or any more of the island. Burano however was colourful and as the pictures show, could have done with more time here however.
Fun Excursion
Dayne_M, May 2019
This was a fun day trip from Venice and a great opportunity to see the islands of Murano and Burano. The glass making demonstration was incredible! We had tons of fun exploring Burano as well.
Response from Host, May 2019
