As can be seen from the attached photo, the Doges Palace area was closed by security for the Pope's visit to St. Marks. We did not use or even download these tickets because of this closure, but Viator refused to give us a refund or credit for another tour. We would not recommend using Viator for anything.

Dear guest thanks for your feedback, we are very sorry to hear this, we checked with the Palace and they informed us that the area was closed only for sometime, these tickets were flexible and gave you access to the Palace for the entire day.

Super value suitable for all ages, no queuing for very popular attractions.

A 60 year old me and my 10 year old granddaughter were completely engrossed in both the museums and the Palace. We deposited our coats and bags in the cloakroom we did the tours of the museums first, then crossed the piazza to the Palace. She was in charge of the tourist information audio guide and thoroughly enjoyed the responsibility and interactive nature, and I highly recommend this type of tour compared to paying more for a real live guide, the people we passed on such tours were being rushed couldn't go back if they missed something and we took our time and lingered on the aspects we found most interesting. For my granddaughter that was the Marco Polo and mapping artifacts, the armoury in the museum, the law making history, the grandeur and scale of the Palace and the atmospheric prison dungeons. We had a coffee break at the Correr before heading out to the Palace. A great rainy day activity as you can stay dry from start to finish. I advise the museums first and the Palace last this is because we were able to take photos at the Palace both in the daylight and in the dark. This option is excellent value for money, skipping the long lines was a necessity as our visit took four and a half hours for the ticketed visit and we would probably have needed to add on an hour and a half if we needed to queue.
