The cathedral is truly amazing! This was worth every penny to skip the line! Remember to get your ticket first, the tour operator was very communicative and easy to deal with!

St. Mark’s Basilica

This is a wonderful place to visit in Venice. However the ticket to get in does not cover the extra E5 to get into the front of the sanctuary where the remains of St. Mark are reputed to be. Also there is an extra E7 to go up to the museum and the rooftop view.

Cathedral was beautiful but your restricted to main floor. Other areas were an additional fee for each area. Additional 12 euros per person to see it all. Also there are no benches to sit. They have sitter police to move you along.

Great Tour of St. Mark's Basilica

I really enjoyed this tour September with Valentina! She was a great guide and this was a really interesting and informative tour which not only went over the history of the Basilica, but also some history of Venice. It was fantastic to not only be able to skip the line but also hear details about the construction of and the artwork both inside and outside the Basilica. I decided to pay extra while inside (to the Basilica staff, not the tour company) to see the museum and the terrace which is definitely worth it, it is only 8 Euros. I'd recommend this tour to anyone else visiting Venice. Also the tour office where you go to turn in your voucher is really easy to find, it is on Apple Maps for those who use that.

These people are lovely, kind, and patient. We did have trouble finding their office, though, and it was tricky trying to associate the parts of the audiotour to the actual building. This was also true of the audiotour given by the cathedral itself. They also gave us a handy guide to Venice -- a book that we're still looking through. The cathedral is overwhelming. Keep in mind that visiting the Pala D'Oro is a separate ticket, as is the visit to the horses on the balcony above. Both of those elements are worth doing.

Straightforward experience, enjoyable

Instructions for meeting up to validate trip and get entry point directions was very simple. We did go right in with no issue. The audio guide was helpful and the golden cathedral is stunning. We could take all the time we wanted inside. The only downside is that some parts of the cathedral are accessible only if you pay more. This is not really Viator's issue, but be aware that you cannot access everything with just your ticket. All in all, a good experience.

Make sure you know where to get your tickefs

The voucher must be converted to tickets to enter San Marco. However, the instructions are terrible to find the office to convert the voucher. We did not find the office and could not go on our tour. What makes this worse is that we paid for several tours from this company and they have a location right off the main Venice square. We were able to get our tickets for the other tour at this location for the Digs Palace visit, but they do not get the tickets did the cathedral.

This was one of the highlights of our vacation. The on- line reservation- purchase was simple. The ticket office to redeem the voucher was easy to find and the staff friendly and helpful. We picked up the tickets and the guidebook from the address directed in the confirmation email. The office was easy to find with Google maps. The person at the office gave us instructions on where to queue up at San Marco. Going into the Basilica di San Marco was a breeze. Glad we got these as it saved us a lot of time. There is a baggage check, but we didn’t have any rucksacks or a purse. Good value. Grazie mille!

Tour is ok but better to download the audio guide with the wifi provided in the kiosk! I’d prepare a guide that helps you more about when and where to listen to the tour according to the route you follow inside the basilica

Beautiful breath taking architecture and history. Quick entrance, you do still need to pay for other areas within the church if you want to; st marks tomb and the museum upstairs leading out to the horses and balcony, but definitely worth it and helps with the upkeep of building. Annoying that you have to go to the news stand right across the square to get paper tickets in this day and age but luckily the stand was near our hotel on route Highly recommend

This fast-track tour of Saint Mark’s Basilica is the greatest rip-off! First, you have to find the little newsstand to get your ticket, time spend 45 minutes. Then, you got to download an app to get the audio, if you do not have Wi-Fi or a phone with such capacity bad luck. Downloaded the audio, 10 minutes, only to find out it did not work. The treasury of the Saint Mark’s Basilica is closed which is pretty much a great part of the visit. I travelled with an elderly parent who needed to sit down in Saint Mark’s Basilica. Note there are no seating possibilities inside, only for you with a tour guide, not even for an 80-year-old or those on crutches. The visit of the Saint Mark’s Basilica was the absolute low point of the Venice visit. Spare yourself the time., agony, and time. Zero stars

The directions as to where to pick up the tickets are vague and unhelpful. We spent almost an hour trying to figure where we were supposed to get them. There needs to be a better system for telling folks where to go. Also the audio system was non existent. We were told we did not have one when we entered the Basilica.

May not work for your cell phone - beware

Unfortunately, this was not an audio guide that you typically get from the basilica but rather a download onto my phone which then didn't work INSIDE the basilica due to poor cell service. Only 1 out of 4 of our cell phones had service inside.
