For guests staying at a North Shore or Princeville hotel, the meeting point is at the Outrigger Waipouli Hotel in Kapa'a. Parking is available at the municipal parking lot near the Outrigger Waipouli Hotel. The tour times provided reflect the start and end of the tour, but not your exact pickup location and pickup time. Whether or not you've provided your hotel/lodging at the time of booking, you are required to contact the tour provider no less than (2) days prior to your tour date to receive your exact pickup time and location. The tour provider will advise you of the specific area at the hotel/lodging you should wait; for example, "at the front entrance." Please be there at least 5 minutes before your pickup time. Please allow a 10-15 minute grace period, as the driver will be picking up other guests in your area. If your hotel/lodging is not included on our pickup schedule, you'll be advised to meet at nearby location. Please note that we are prohibited by certain properties to pick up non-hotel guests and we do not pick-up at private properties such as Airbnb’s and residential areas.

What To Expect

See many of Kauai’s natural and cultural attractions on this full-day guided tour. After hotel pickup in the morning, relax in a deluxe air-conditioned coach as your local guide shares stories from Kauai’s history and provides narration on passing sites.

As you make your way toward the rocky red landscape of Waimea, pass local attractions like the historic Koloa Sugar Mill, Nawiliwili Harbor, and Queen Victoria’s profile. Stop at the Spouting Horn natural blowhole, and watch water burst through the natural lava tubes for a spectacular sight.

Drive up a scenic winding road to reach the lip of Waimea Canyon for breathtaking views of the so-called ‘Grand Canyon of the Pacific.’ Carved by the passage of water over thousands of years, the red lava rock canyon stretches an impressive 10 miles (16 km) long and 1 mile (1.6 km) wide.

See another side of Kauai on a cruise down the scenic Wailua River, considered to be sacred by native Hawaiians. Relax as your boat leisurely traverses the gentle currents and soak in the lush tropical landscape. Visit nearby attractions such as the Fern Grotto, the sacred royal Birthstone, Opaekka Falls, and Coco Palms Grove.

At the end of your full-day Kauai adventure, you are dropped off back at your hotel in the early evening.

Rosario, our driver, was friendly, knowledgeable and a good driver. We enjoyed the information he provided and getting us right to the various attractions. The canyon is worth the trip. River cruise was pleasant and informative.

The canyon was stunning and Ethan was very friendly and knowledgeable the boat ride was very beautiful but rather short the hula dancing was exquisite the fern grotto enchanting

The sites along the way were beautiful. Waimea Canyon was breathtaking. The food provided was some of the best I've ever had on this type of tour. By far the best part of the trip was the non-stop entertainment provided by our guide, Kaleo. He made us feel at home and welcome from the moment we were picked up at the hotel. I travel a lot, have experienced many tour guides and only on rare occasions will the guide show true enthusiasm and joy for the job. Kaleo loves his job and Kauai and it shows. The tour was well-worth the money and the perfect addition to our Kauai adventure.

This was a great tour and Rosario was an amazing tour guide! Could I have crafted this trip on my own yes? BUT the islander knowledge and ease of not having to plan was so nice. So many amazing overlook spots and beautiful views!

The sights were wonderful, the riverboat was great and so were the views of Waimea Canyon. We have been a few tours before, and typically the tour guide has water…no water offered on a 9 hour tour. He played Hawaiian music in the bus about 80% of the time, not a whole lot of history of the island…his was really nice, but a lot of money for an average trip.

Tour of the River and grotto along with the Canyon were spectacular. Lunch was only fair. Our tour guide tried very hard to be congenial and informative but her nervous energy had here conversations wandering oftentimes too personal.

The captain and crew were great! They worked hard. Food was great. Views were awesome. Waters were choppy due to wind, so be prepared. Again, crew was hard working and fantastic.

The bus tour was very good, showing multiple key sights around the island. We should have done this before anything else. Our tour guide Sabrina was awesome! Giving many historic and current cultural facts. She also recommended other sights and restaurants that were her personal favorites.
