Just a few minutes' walk from Teatro Petruzzelli, we will reach the medieval quarter called "Bari Vecchia," where we will explore on foot: the Swabian Castle (exterior), the Cathedral, the Basilica of San Nicola, the most beautiful alleys of the historic center, the Pedestrian Wall, and the main squares. We will continue our journey by train, heading to Polignano a Mare. The historic center of this town, located south of Bari, is spectacular and offers panoramic views. It is perched on a high white cliff overlooking the sea. Polignano a Mare features a labyrinth of alleys that surprisingly open up to balconies 30 meters above sea level. It is the capital of handmade Puglian gelato and the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, whose statue stands on the beautiful seafront of the town.
