Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Easy process from beginning to end. Beautiful scenery. Snorkeling had interesting marine life - we even swam alongside a turtle.

A few things - 1) Great information about the island and its history/facts. 2) The snorkeling was incredible. 3) Our two hosts were fantastic. Their goal was to ensure their guests had a great time. The accomplished that goal and then some!!

A Gem Among Tours!

This tour is absolutely amazing! What we appreciated most was the relaxed, warm atmosphere created by our guide! The views along the river and bay were breathtaking, and we learned all kinds of Hawaiian lore along the way! The snorkeling was beautiful, easy, fun, and coordinated! We highly recommend the morning tour, bring a light wrap and towel plus a hat! The lunch is delicious, and of course, our guide made the day even more special with his ukulele playing on the beach! We chose several tours for our week, this one was our absolute favorite!

Our guide was impressive. Generational Hawaiian gave us a ton of history and ceremony. Treated us ALL like humans and NOT tourists. That was very refreshing for me traveling alone. Families and couples were catered to on my previous experiences, so this was great. Blew the shell, played ukulele and sang during lunch, and so full of knowledge that he NEEDED and wanted to share.

Had a wonderful experience kayaking and snorkeling and many thanks to our guide Cole who was super friendly with the entire team providing history of hanalei, Kauai, singing with Ukelele and guiding us riding the ocean wave etc. If you are visiting Kauai, i would highly recommend booking with them. Note: Personally, i am not that comfortable with water but had a great time the entire duration.

The entire adventure was excellent! Fantastic tour guide! Beautiful scenery. Great equipment. Snorkeling was so fun the waters were beautiful, the fish and other sea friends were abundant and so colorful. Lunch on the beach was very nice especially being serenaded during the meal. Highly recommend this tour!

The set up was very professional for check in, getting gear, and kayaking overview. Kolo, our guide, was very knowledgeable about Kauai’s history and you could tell he had a passion for his island. The kayaking was beautiful and easy. We also were given cards with fish we might see snorkeling and a bit about them from a Hawaiian perspective and that is one thing other trips snorkeling haven’t ever done, so unique. They had sand mats for us to use while we ate the provided (and very good) lunch on the beach after snorkeling. Kolo played the ukulele and sang Hawaiian songs while we ate. Wow! And we learned about how the mountains look like a dragon and the origin of the song Puff the magic dragon. Really it was quite an amazing tour. Kayak Hanalei is family owned and I recommend this tour while in Kauai!

The most memorable part of this wonderful experience was, when our kayak did a Huli in the ocean! 😂😂. Everything was memorable. The guide was so awesome!!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Our guide Kolo made our experience - he was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was the perfect length, allowing for ample time snorkeling and relaxing on the beach between kayaking to and from the starting point.

We had an enjoyable day with the Kayak Hanalei tour group. Each kayak had enough room for our bags and snorkel gear. We experienced a yummy lunch, authentic Hawaiian music played on a ukulele, beautiful scenery, and the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean. We saw lots of fish and big turtles while snorkeling. Although our original tour had to be cancelled due to flooding, the Kayak Hanalei team was quick to keep us informed and to rescheduled us for the next day.

We enjoyed the beautiful landscape on an easy kayak paddle to the bay along with Kolo's stories of history, lore and family. We snorkeled with turtles and had good conversation with lunch and were even serenaded by Kolo and his ukulele before heading back. It was a great way to spend the morning! MAHALO!

Gorgeous views, crew was super knowledgeable and kind, great experience for our Honeymoon. Saw lots of fish, serenaded by Hawaiian ukulele songs by the crew during lunch on the beach.

Great tour with awesome, informative guides. Beautiful scenery, tasty lunch and an incredible excursion as a whole. The tour group was fairly large, which was the biggest negative for me. I get a bit nervous in larger group settings. If you're looking for a more intimate tour, this might not be it. Tandem kayaking was a small challenge for me as well, because I'm used to being solo. Tandem kayaking while also navigating ocean waves was tough. This trip requires some intermediate level experience during the rougher waves. My boyfriend had a great time snorkeling with the sea turtles and checking out the reef life. Next time, I think I will splurge on a more private tour. All in all, though, this was an incredible experience we will always remember. Thank you, Kolo & Gabe <3
