Efter ca 45 minuters kajakpaddling, landa på stranden av den vackra Hanaleibukten och ladda upp med en mellanmål. Beundra spektakulär utsikt över bukten, känd av 1958-filmens sydliga Stilla havet, och lära dig om gamla hawaiiska brandkastningsceremonier som utförs från den dramatiska Makana Peak.

Slip på en snorkelmask och fenor, och dyka sedan in i det varma turkosvattnet i Hanaleis Bay Reef Lagoon. Utforska undervattensrev formationer och vara på utkik efter Hawaiian marint liv som lysande tropiska fisk och havssköldpaddor. Du kommer också ha en chans att rida de mjuka vågorna i bukten på en havskayak om du vill. Avsluta din 5-timmars tur med en annan kort kajak och kör tillbaka till den ursprungliga avgångspunkten.

Michael F was our tour guide and he was the best. Honestly, the man is a Zen Master who also does Kayak tour guiding on the side. It helped that the north part of the island is as beautiful as a place I have ever been. It's a must.

First I want to say our tour guide Harrison was great. He knew a lot about Kauai and the animals and plants and history. The problem was that we woke very early in the morning to drive 40 minutes to the meeting spot on our ticket. Only to be told we are driving exactly back the way we came. So we got back in our car and drove the exact 40 minutes up to Princeville to meet the rest of the group. There should have been much better communication of meeting spot locations. Also it was strange that a bottle of water wasn’t even included. The kayaking was fun and the snorkeling was a good spot. But if I did it again I would have done a catamaran snorkeling tour.

Sorry if transportation to and from may have colored your tour on a sour note. I assume you were staying in the North Shore/Ha’ena/Princeville/Hanalei area. To avoid situations such as yours we do in our www site, state quite clearly the following: Check in Wailua River Marina at 8:00 a.m. If staying Princeville can arrange to pick up on way -Those staying in Hanalei can be dropped off or walk to Black Pot Beach Park -Clients are not allowed to park at Black Pot Viator who you booked with, may have not been as diligent in pointing out a potential alternative check in. Will tray to have Viator, who you booked with, correct the error of their ways. Thanks for taking the time….your review helps others avoid this “double jeoppardy”. Hau’oli Makahiki Hou, Micco PS: Regarding bottled water. We have floating North of us a "plastic patch" the size of Connecticut and we try in our little way to help reduce our imprint. We also share the following on our www site and may have not been pointed out by Viator. "--We no longer issue plastic water bottles! To reduce plastic waste we now have a Water Filtration Station. --We encourage clients to bring their own water and/or purchases our KK Logo aluminum water bottles and fill up with chilled purified water" We do offer a variety of canned fruit juices.

Successful paddle to Hideaway beach

Jay was knowledgeable about the island and entertained us with much info along the way. The river had floating flowers and I thought it was so pretty. We braved the waves in the bay and paddled to Hideaway beach. Didn’t capsize, although we were warned we should expect it. Success!

During the winter, the surf can make it dicey to get to more remote Hideaways. Congratulation for being a stellar paddler and not huli-ing/flipping over along the way. Great group kayak adventures!

Great tour today! We did the Hanalei River and Bay Snorkel tour with Harrison. Small group of 6, so 3 kayaks. Everybody super friendly. Harrison connected well with the group, knew the area well and made everyone feel great. Tour was fun, even if the ocean is a bit bumpy this time of year, but we were in good hands. Visibility not great for the snorkeling, but more than made up by lots of close encounters with turtles, and a great guide. Highly recommend!

This was a kind of adventure kayaking out of the river into the ocean! We had a lot of fun kayaking but the snorkeling conditions were a little murky. They cannot control the weather and water conditions though so I don’t hold that against them.

Tour guides were super cool, very knowledgeable about the island and the history. Up and down the river about a mile or so, nice paddle into the ocean and waves and back to a beach for some snorkeling. Then back to landing. Whole trip took about 5 hours.

Best Day in Kauai

Best adventure we did during our week in Kauai! Guides Jay and Sam were super cool and friendly. Kayaking was a blast, beach and snorkeling were amazing, lunch was great, and the owner of the company even met with everyone and visited!! Perfect day! We had our 2 boys (18 & 20) with us and it was their favorite day of the trip! We would highly recommend it!! The owner is a pioneer and legend in sea kayaking and the guides follow suite!

It rained the whole trip, snorkeling wasn’t great, but Mike and Ray made the trip very enjoyable. They made sure everyone knew how to kayak as a team and even helped us to a further spot for better snorkeling (it was a bit) and somewhat out of the rain.

Aloha Suzi, Great guiding comes into place when the heavens saturates us with rain. When it is sunny guiding is often easier, but when it rains the challenge is still have a good time when the weather is less than perfect.
