Intressant men inte riktigt en vandring

Mycket kunnig personal och lärde mig definitivt mycket. Men om du är en vandrare var detta en avslappnad promenad. Det hade precis regnat så vattnet var lerigt. Totalt sett bra för seniorer - vissa hala fläckar på grund av det senaste regnet

Aloha Friend, Thank you for your visit. 95% of the people who visit love to rave about this hike, as they know what to expect, as we state right on our web site, that it is a fun easy to moderate hike Therefore great for families with kids. For Elders that have some mobility issues we have created and now offer a mini waterfall hike and chocolate tour. You'll notice that most people who visit, visit first because they want to help a good cause when on Maui, as their way of giving back while here. And this wonderful experience is what we provide our visitors. They are a rare breed indeed, as they love having the chance to have fun while doing good. If you went to Hana while here, you would have noticed that in all waterfall areas in Maui will have more rainfall that makes them waterfall worthy. And it also makes all these areas prone to be a little slippery or at times a little muddy, But our expert guides make sure that you are safe and cared for every step of the way. And our reviews speak for themselves as people love it! They want this kind of a fun authentic historical rainforest adventure, and enjoy it when it rains. And for their comfort as you know we provide rain ponchos for those who need them. Needless to say they are trilled to get a authentic Hawaiian rainforest experience. They also love the fact that they get to see chocolate growing in its natural rainforest habitat. Happy that its a taste of Hana with-out the long drive. Also our rainfall is less than Hana, being closer to Kahului only 30 minutes away, as opposed to Hana over 3 hours away. And 95 % of people feel it is an amazing adventure. With that said, we wish you well, all the best and appreciate your visit to the gardens, as it helps us do greater work here at the gardens. Have a lovely rest of the day.

Had the most remarkable experience with J! He is VERY skilled and the hike felt like a tour with a friend who had lived there for years!!! Would HIGHLY recommend this for couples and families alike. The chocolate was Delicious!!!!

Rainforest, waterfalls, and chocolate

Craig and Brennan did a wonderful job! They were personable, knowledgeable, witty, and a joy to be around. They walked us through the King's Garden rain forest, discussed the background and habitat, and helped us identify some beautiful plants/ flowers. We ended our tour by looking at a beautiful waterfall and making our own chocolate and sampling other varieties of chocolate.

The whole tour was wonderful!!!! Our guide was awesome. I highly recommend this tour. Especially if you want to see some unique plants. Also the Paia Fish Market was an excellent choice for lunch. Mahalo

What a fun and informative tour! Ryan had such great energy as well as in depth knowledge about Hawaiian plants. The tour was kept really fun and interesting throughout, fairly easy ground to walk on and really interesting to learn about cacao and how chocolate can be made. Highly recommend for a shorter tour - not at all hard to find from clear directions (and definitely recommend the bug spray and iced latte from Jaws store down the road). Only thing to note is you only get a view of a waterfall during the tour but you can drive down to other falls near by after the tour.

JIva was the absolute best tour guide. We really enjoyed the knowledge he shared with us. Mahalo! From the ginger trees to the banana flower, we enjoyed it all. We now know to plant Ti, red and green. And who knew there was a ruby chocolate? We know now. Thank you Jiva!

Ryan!! Ryan was such a fun and enthusiastic tour guide, he made the experience all the more memorable! He told us in the beginning you retain more information while learning if you are having fun and he was right! Through the remainder of our trip on this beautiful island we kept pointing out the plants we had learned about on the tour and made us feel more immersed in our experience here. And of course the chocolate tour at the end where we learn fun facts about cocao and how to make our own which we now plan to do at home! I would recommend this tour for everyone , families included. The hike was very easy, just wear some good shoes, pack some bug spray and you are in for a real treat! Maholo Ryan for your awesome mana and Aloooooooha!

Ryan was very awesome Chocolate was not as expected but was great. Learned alot about the different plants and flowers wasn’t that long a hike had about 15 in group and Ryan waited for everyone even older people and answered every question. This is really worth it but do it early as it could be hot later in day. Then go on to Road to Hana Wayne

The “hiking” is low level but scenic and the chocolate tasting experience along with the knowledge shared was good. The picture advertising the waterfall is very misleading. What you do see is a private one from a distance. Hard to take pictures. Ryan was our guide and was enthusiastic and engaged everyone. He showed great patience with the children’s curiosity and questions. Overall a memorable experience of Maui’s rainforest.
