    Great experience. Francisco was friendly and gave us a lot of information about olive groves and how to recognize excellent EVOO. The highlight was spending time with Francisco’s grandparents at their home for a wine and EVOO tasting.

    Such a unique, private and full-hearted experience from team Essensily. We had a lovely morning learning about the olive trees and the oil production spiced with personal stories and interesting details. The tour was followed by an authentic lunch and tasting session with the owner’s grandparents, which besides being delicious, felt like an absolute privilege and honour. The organic olive oil tastes nothing like you tried before (promise!) and we were also sold on Essensily’s wines. Highly recommended tour!

    Francesco was a wonderful host. He had extensive knowledge regarding olive oil and wine. The olive oil was like nothing we have in the United States. We enjoyed meeting his grandparents and their hospitality.

    Francesco and Simona were wonderful hosts… There olive Grove was beautiful and their knowledge was incredible… Sharing lunch with Francesco‘s grandparents will be a memory we will never forget… The olive oil ❤️ we will ship to America to serve in our restaurant, and hope that our suppliers can bring over their wine… We had a wonderful lunch and wonderful conversation with an amazing family!!..

    I booked this tour for my family at the last minute, and I'm so glad I did! It was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. We learned so much from Francesco about olive oils, wines and local culture as he shared his thoughts and experiences openly. He and Simona were welcoming and friendly, as were his grandparents who hosted us for lunch after. It was such a treat to interact with such lovely people and have an authentic home cooked meal as part of the tour. The olive oils and wines from Essensily were great and we went home with a few bottles in tow. Thanks again Francesco and Simona for the delightful afternoon :) Highly recommend this tour, you won't regret it!

    Really fantastic experience! Francesco is a small producer that’s working on growing his business. Very mom and pop. Francesco was able to speak to both production in the industry today as well as explain and share his own family traditions around olive oil production. I learned a lot! Francesco also produces a growing number of wines, a single white and red at the moment, and we had the opportunity to taste both. Fantastic wines as well. The tour included visiting olive groves, an explanation of how olive oil is produced in detail, a visit to his olive oil storage / production facility, and a wonderful tasting and small traditional apertivo in a traditional Italian kitchen.

    We only had time for 1 tour while in Sicily and I am so glad we chose this one! Francesco and his family are lovely and we learned so much from them. This tour should be a must on your list!!

    The experience in olive grove with Francesco brought us a broader understanding of how thorough and accurate is to make good olive oil. And how much love they put in it :). Francesco was very kind and helpful, we had a very good time there. And the lunch at the grandparents house was cherry on top. It was so warm and pleasant to stay there and feel that sicilian spirit. By the way, Balestrate is a very lovely city.

    This was the highlight of our time in Sicily! Francesco clearly loves what he does. We toured the olive grove where he taught us so much above olives, and olive oil. He answered all of our questions. The second part of the tour included olive oil tasting, wine tasting (his family makes wine as well), and meeting his grandparents. His grandmother made a huge spread for lunch. We had an incredible time with his family in Balestrada. Essensily olive oil is exceptional, the wine is exceptional and the entire experience was so worth it. Afterwards we walked to the end of the street and watched the sunset from the fishing pier.

    This was our first experience of an olive oil making and tasting and we wouldn't ask for a better one! Francesco is really passionate about his business and explained to us everything from A to Z. We have then moved to his nonna's house where we tasted so many delicious local ingredients and dishes and his family is an absolute treasure! Their wine is delicious and light as well and we are so delighted to bring home a bottle of each. Definitely recommended!

    Francesco was very nice and showed us around the olive trees. We got to eat fresh figes he picked for us while there. He educated us about the trees & the process from fruit to oil. Afterwards we drove to his grandparents house where we got welcomed by his Nonna & Nonna and delicious self prepared food. We got to taste the oil & wine he produces. His Girlfriend was also there and very lovely she took a lot of pictures of us for us.
