We had a wonderful time with Gerard. Starting with the famous Dutch apple pie. It was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every stop on this food tour. From the Indonesian sandwich to the cheeses and sausage roll. And let’s not forget the bitterballen. Gerard was very informative about the food and history.

It was great fun. The Indonesian beef sandwich was delicious and even the herring was good! The group of eight was perfect. We learned a lot about the brown cafes and it was a treat to start our tour in one of them, having apple pie.

Our guide Maša was very informative and well versed in the area. We had 6 stops including several brown wall cafes. We had apple pie, herring, cheese course, sausage roll, an Indonesian sandwich, and bitterballen. Each course was matched with a beverage. Our guide was organized and thorough. She made everyone feel welcome and created an atmosphere where it was a lovely group experience. Highly recommend.

Very good food choices and very personable guide who went the extra mile for us. It was a small group of nine and she was very caring to make sure that we were happy with her. After our tour she helped us to get into the Anne Frank house when that tour was cancelled on us several days before we were scheduled to do that. I had booked it 58 days prior to our expected tour date and it was the most important event that we wanted to do in Amsterdam.

My dad and I (from Chicago) did this on our first day in Amsterdam. The tastings were a great variety of styles and foods. Danielle was amazing - very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable! She shared a lot of history surrounding the origins of the foods and restaurants as well as notable areas and buildings we passed! Outside of the tour, she also provided a list of recommendations of places to eat and things to see, which was much appreciated! The only thing I would’ve liked a little more of was a more in depth description of the goods themselves - where they’re sourced from and how they’re made - maybe from the chefs at the restaurants themselves, as we’ve experienced in other food tours. Regardless, it was a great time and I would highly recommend to any tourists visiting!
