No free time in The Hague
Kyle_S, Jul 2023
We loved the small group experience and it made it easy to interact with our guide! However, the lack of free time in The Hague was disappointing and we decided to leave the tour there so we could spend time there. But overall a great way to see 3 Dutch cities!

Great experience. Driver was attentive and easy to talk to. He provided great information about each of the towns we visited, and was always ready to help.

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our tour! Kind regards, Tour Company
Delft was worth the tour, the rest...not so much
JUDY_S, May 2019
There was a lot crammed into this day tour and most of it was more of a drive by than an actual visit. The Spido Boat Tour wasn't really worth the time. But Delft was lovely and a great place to have lunch. Enjoyed the tour of the pottery factory there. Also, interesting to hear how Rotterdam rebuilt itself after WWII and explains all the new buildings there.

We missed the Spido Boat Tour due to poor time management of the tour guide.

I dont believe I would recommend this day trip. Riding in a van and having banks and 5-Star hotels pointed out was not my idea of interesting. Delft was definitely worthwhile, as was touring the shop where the Delft items were madethat was fascinating and beautiful. I would skip Rotterdam and take an independent trip to The Hague to visit the Mauritshuis Museum which we didnt visit on this trip, by the way. Lunch should be provided, considering the price of this tour. Apparently, all we paid for was the petrol.

The tour is not so good You do accomplish seeing 3 cities on the same day But you don't really get to experience any thing. Most of the time you are in the car or the boat. Not enough time for lunch. Boating trip through The Hague. And a very boring driver.. His English was hard to understand

Our guide and driver, Bram, did a fine job for us on this tour. He was very good at explaining history and local background for all destinations described. Not only that, but he was very pleasant, upbeat, and accommodating allowing us ample time time to explore and and have lunch on our own. One of the highlights was the Spido Boat tour of the Rotterdam port you have to see it from the water to appreciate the size and importance of the harbor facilities. The Delft pottery facility tour and visit to the city square was also very enjoyable. While I highly recommend this tour, there was one drawback - the day included quite a bit of driving and the vehicle Bram was given for the job, was NOT suitable for sightseeing. It was little more than an uncomfortable trade van with windows covered by advertising screens that obscured our view to all the wonderful sights on this tour. However, not the fault of our driver/guide someone at the tour company needs to understand vehicle requirements for passenger comfort and viewing on day trips.

Just a really nice way to spend the day, we lucked out there was only four of us for the trip, the guide / driver was really nice and had great story's! Delft was a surprise, found it really quaint and nice, not to be missed, the boat ride in Rotterdam was very smooth, they use nice boats, really huge port was cool to sea, being from the Canadian prairies. Could have had a little bit more time in The Hague. But overall great trip and service, we would recommend. Thank You Donna and Bruce

I really enjoyed the tour of the Rotterdam Port. It had very, very large and interesting ships, working cranes, and a very good tutorial all throughout the speedo tour. The van that took us to Rotterdam was a very nice air conditioned 9 passenger van. Our guide gave us interesting tid bits about the sites on the side of the road all through out the 1.5 hour drive. We stayed a short time in the Delft. Just enough time, as when we were ready to go so was the guide. The nice thing about this trip is it is a small group so it leaves some flexibility. The pictures don't do it justice as you just can't imagine the scale of the equipment and ships. If you've never been to a working port, this one is worth seeing!

An excellent tour of three interesting cities in Holland. Delft was my favorite. It has a great town square and old town area. i was also impressed with the majestic buildings of The Hague. Rotterdam has some fascinating modern architecture. looking back it seems remarkable to have covered so much in the half day tour!

The van was not big enough for the small group of 8 - very uncomfortable and hot! The guide spoke very fast, not very clear and not loud at all. The cities we visited were beautiful and worth the visit but would have benefited from a better guide. The spido boat tour was lovely and they had their own professional guide who was very good.

Anne_F, Jun 2016
First of all, the luxury mini van advertised was nothing more than a basic 9 seater van with bench seats, inadequate air-conditioning and windows that were designed not to open. Secondly, the driver/tour guide could only be heard by the two people who rode in the front seat. People in rows 2 and 3 could not hear anything while the middle passengers in rows 2 and 3 could barely see anything. The only worthwhile aspects of the tour were the cruise of Rotterdam Harbour and the walking tour of Delft. The company dudded the clients of this relatively expensive small group tour by providing a totally inadequate vehicle.

This was a fantastic tour. It is well worth the extra costs for a more personal experience. My tour guide Hank was the best. He made the entire experience extra special. The boat ride through the Rotterdam harbor was incredible. The scale and scope of the harbor operations were something to see.

DEREK WONG, Mar 2016
The car was there waiting way ahead of schedule. Simon, the driver, and Monique, our tour guide was there waiting for us me and my mother it was then we realized that we were the only ones. To wrap everything up, its a relaxing, informative and value-for-money trip. You dont get small-group trips very often in fact, this is our first time joining such a small, private tour around a place but definitely is an unforgettable experience. The journey was filled with a meaningful conversation - information on various aspects of Dutch life. This is where the small-group part of the tour comes in one prominent thing that sets this trip apart from others is that we get personalized information: for example, we have a very particular interest in the housing rates and education system in the Netherlands, and we did get what we asked! This was to no expense of other areas: we got a very all-rounded picture of what we visited. Another great part of the small-group tour is that we get to see more things. The car is smaller a 9-person car and we got to visit smaller alleys. This is very personalised: we even took a detours / slowed down to take closer looks at certain buildings and things, e.g., the very classy central station in Rotterdam, protests in the Hague. All this is always accompanied with Moniques naming, explanation of the history and background behind each building we saw plus Simons occasional remark. We also got to ask any questions which, again, is one of the best things in a small-group tour. There were also occasional moments when we could get off the car whenever we wanted to snap a few photos of some places this didnt happen very often: we are the type of tourists who would rather sit back and see with our eyes than with our cameras, but we did get a few chances to hop off and take photos like at the working palace of the King in Hague. In short, this is definitely a 5-star experience totally worth going for.
