Misleading

I booked this tour & it was actually very misleading. The "tour" operates completely separate from the ship. Meaning the staff on the ship had no idea what your schedule was or who is leading your trip & everyone else on the ship had a completely different schedule than we did. We were never given direct information from viator on who would be our point of contact. When we arrived to the ship, our room wasn't ready yet & we had to sit in the lobby for 2 hours wondering what was going on. Then a man who said he was in charge of our tour sat us down & told us what things were included. I asked for a printed schedule and he said they do not supply one. Instead of telling us our schedule, he was only focused on who we were expected to tip. Each tour guide we came in contact with, did not work for the ship & we were expected to tip each and every person that we met. Many times we had both a guide & a driver so we were expected to tip both people each and every day. We were never told what time we were supposed to be ready for things or the schedule for the day. We were also told that NONE of the sites we were going to be would be included in the cost & would need to be paid in Egyptian pounds before we could enter the site. You need to bring at least $250 per person with you in cash to cover the extra expenses. (not including the tips)The ship is also in very bad condition. This is advertised as a 4-5 star boat but it was far from it. Our bathroom smelled like sewage the entire time (we would gag everytime we went in) & the construction had not be done right in our room so you could actually see through part of the bathroom wall into a closet in the ships hallway. We were nervous someone might be able to watch us while we were using it. We told the ships staff but they never did anything about it. Wifi is available for $5 per day per person. FYI. Food is just okay. Each day we had to wake up at about 3AM because all the tours were so early. The tour guides that we had were all great & took care of us very well but the experience overall was chaos because we never knew where we were supposed to be or what we would have to pay for that day. I book alot of tours with viator (more than 75) and this experience overall was off brand for them.
