Philae Temple (Temple of Isis) Tours and Tickets

We booked this tour last minute, and Elarya from Nice Tours, Heba our guide, and Mustafa our driver were so kind to accommodate us! We didn't have a lot of time since we had to leave for Luxor at 11am, so we looked for a tour that could accommodate our early morning timing, and Nice Tours truly delivered! Not only did we get a tour that fit our schedule, we were so lucky to get the AMAZING guide Heba. I had read the reviews for her, and hoped that we would get her despite booking last minute. We were so happy to get Heba as our guide, and we had such a fun time with her. She's incredibly knowledgeable, and most importantly she was so kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend this tour and especially Heba!

Perfect tour to Philae temple and Nubian museum. The guide Nermien and driver Bodi were really good and professional. Everything went smooth. Our guide, Ms Makeola, demonstrated an encyclopedic knowledge through out the visit to the three sites which in themselves are fascinating. Her English ability is very impressive and enhanced our understanding the history of the sites. This tour should be included in any travels to Aswan.

Our guide Maggie was superlative. She had us early Philae, the Isis temple early and proceeded to give us a wonderful deep explanation of the full history of the site, from establishment as a Nubian temple, through New Kingdom, Greek and Roman periods. She guided us through the Nubian Museum, explaining the significance of some very fine sculptural pieces of intensely human representations. All and all a marvelous introduction to Egyptian history.

Three very different parts to the tour. Temple of Philae is magnificent, the unfinished obelisk was really interesting and the dam and the impact on the local community was fascinating. Michael was a great host -knowledgeable, articulate and he took a lot of stress out of the ticket purchases and boat hire. Would highly recommend

Overall the tour was ok, it was done within 4 hours as he went really fast through out the areas . High Dam is not really something to crave about as you have to pay 100 EGP just to see a dam. But for the price you pay , this is what you get . If you have short time go visit the Nubian Village and the just the Philae Temple.
