What To Expect

Get picked up from the location you chose at checkout when booking for this Nile River 4-day cruise and settle in your vehicle on the way to Aswan High Dam. Visit the dam then take a motorboat to Philae Temple, on an island in the Nile, before transferring to your ship. Stay overnight on your boat in Aswan with lunch, dinner, and evening disco party included.

On day two, enjoy an early start to drive south to the Abu Simbel temples, then join your boat in time for lunch as you cruise to the Kom Ombo Temple. Then, head on your boat to Edfu for an overnight there on the ship, including a buffet dinner.

On day three, after breakfast, take a horse-and-carriage ride to Temple of Horus (at Edfu) and explore the temple before your ship sails over to Luxor to visit Luxor Temple, too: If your boat docks early, there may also be time to take in Karnak Temple. Enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and a belly-dancing show onboard your ship.

Start day four with an early morning hot-air balloon ride over Luxor West Bank, then eat breakfast and check out from your ship. You'll spend the rest of the day exploring Luxor highlights, including the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Hatshepsut—with Karnak Temple if you didn't see that yesterday.

You'll be dropped at your choice of a Luxor hotel, the airport, or the railway station in the afternoon.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Mr. Mahmoud was a great guide. Very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. Willing to help in all aspects and does not force any souvenir sales. Also got a signed 1EGP for fun 😂 Cruise was overall a good experience. We stayed on Hapi V cruise. The rooms are acceptably clean. Air conditioning was a bit weak in the room. The food was okay. Not too bad, not exceptional, but it could be better. Should be less salty, less sweet, and could use more Egyptian cuisine options. Staff were very kind and was willing to help.

An amazing tour, you are able to see all nile area ancient egypt temples, abu simbel, aswan, edfu and luxor. Our guide (Muhammed) conducted really well organized and timing tour. Cruise personnel were so helpful, Only that I need give information about cruiser, There is no elevator in the ship and Most of the ancient sites doesn’t have accessible options for baby strollet etc.

Be prepared to wake up early every morning if you dont wish to skip any temple. 3 hours ride to Abu simbeI was worth it. Bus was very good. Food and staff are very good on the boat. Guide is nice. Higly recommended. The value for money is great. Sorry to see that boats are sailing half full

Great trip with an enthusiastic guide

We really enjoyed our trip! Most people have written that they had to wake up so early everyday, which is true but its also imposible waking up at 10 and being able to see everything! The trips in general was good planned, but our guide Talaat Abdu played also really big role in it. He was organised, enthusiastic and made sure of that we had both informational and recreational time enough. In some part he even explained things in theatrical way. On the other hand, he has been sure about our well-being, gave us enough time to catch up, get rest. Great energy! The food was also really nice and we had an open buffay, everyday different food! And the rooms were also cleaned regularly :)

Great journey across the Nile Valley

The tour is a great option to explore the Nile Valley and its adjoining areas. The trip starts in Aswan on the first day, with Abu Simbel on the second morning and then sets sail towards Kom Ombo and Edfu. On the third day, after the Temple of Horus, the ship sets sail to Luxor, followed by hot air ballon, Valley of the Kings and Karnak temple Pros: 1. The guide: Our guide, Mohammad Gobran is a very helpful and is a knowledgeable Egyptologist. He takes care of the guests very well. He even goes out of your way to help with supplies like water and sim cards 2. The ship: We were on the Nile Jewel, which is a very comfortable ship with all amenities. The food is very good and there are several large decks to enjoy the view when the ship is sailing. 3. The sights: The itinerary covers almost all of the Nile Valley, including Abu Simbel, which some other itineraries keep as optional. There are also optional visits to the Nubian village and Tutankhamen’s tomb. Mohammad will arrange those for you at an additional price. The cons: 1. The booking on Viator only lets you select number of people and not rooms. We had a 3 person booking and they were accommodated in one room. 2. You have to pay for water and all drinks on board. It is advisable to buy water before you board. There are supermarkets near the boarding point where you can buy water.

Wonderful experience in Egypt. The tour guide is good in details, he is professional with nice recommendations and notices. Mohamed Gibran introduced clear historical background and story of each visiting point. Yet, the free time of each site is limited, it will be great for longer visiting time. Overall is good.

This cruise is incredible value for money. Having done a Viking cruise in Europe I was a little unsure because it was so inexpensive. To compare the two would be unfair but I was pleasantly surprised with this cruise. The boat is older but well maintained, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and although the food wasn’t spectacular it was decent and plentiful. They pack a lot into a short time and it is very tiring. I could have done with a couple less temples but that’s just my opinion. Mohamed is very passionate,dedicated and hard working. He keeps things on schedule as best as he can but sometimes herding cats can be difficult 😂. I would recommend this tour and Mohamed without hesitation.

Good: 1. Our guide Mohammed is very professional, he tells us a lot about the history of ancient Egypt. 2. Foods in cruise are really nice, the service of the chefs and waiters in the restaurant are excellent. Some chefs can explain the food in different languages (English, French, Chinese, Korean). 3. The reception is very helpful! He is a kind guy. Need to be improve: 1. We woke up very early in the very morning (3.30/5.00/5.00), but there is no full detailed information on the website, this means we don't know we have to get up early every day before we book. In day 3, we came to the temple with everything dark, when we finished, the sunshine came out. 2. There are no tissues in dining room. 3. There is no POS in the cruise.
