As you leisurely stroll through the Parthenon, basking in the late afternoon light that illuminates this landmark. Take ample time to sightsee and learn about classical history and archaeology. If in a larger group, use the audio guide system to ensure an immersive experience.

Continue on to view other monuments, including the Erechtium, Herodes Atticus Odeon, Ancient theater of Dionysus, Propylaia Gates, and Temple of Nike. If you choose the ""with entrance tickets"" option, you can secure your spot without any hassle and skip the lines.

  • EU citizens under 25 years old have free entrance. Others under 25 years old have a 50% discount (Acropolis tickets). IDs or Passports are required for the guests under 25 years old to ensure Birth date at the Entrance Gates.
  • Entrance fees are excluded (unless you book with entrance tickets) from the price and they cost 20 euros per adult, 10 euros per student (with show of passport or ID)
  • Infants must sit on laps
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • You can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Please make sure this tour includes approximately one mile of walking uphill/downhill on uneven surfaces and 200 steps (both ways).
  • Guests are advised to wear flat and comfortable walking shoes. Large backpacks and oversized purses are not permitted inside the site. Long queues and waiting might occur and every effort is made to coordinate the best timings for visits.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Stelios was an incredible guide! He used his captivating storytelling abilities to really bring us back into ancient times as we explored the acropolis and slopes so that we could truly picture and imagine all that had happened there. He was extremely engaging and answered all questions thrown at him. One of the best historical walking tours I’ve done!

Our guide Safo (spelling may be incorrect) was so wonderful! She brought the Acropolis to life for us, and the way she described the history was very engaging and fascinating. She was also consistently checking in to make sure everyone was comfortable with the walk, had options for water and the bathroom, etc. At the end, she offered us recommendations for things to do in Athens and suggested many personal and wonderful options for her varying group members based on their interests, time left in Athens, etc. She really got to know her group and provide a wonderful experience that lasted beyond just the tour.

The walking tour is the best way to get a great feel for the Acropolis and Parthenon. The guide is great and it's fun to learn about the history of the site. It's probably the best way to tour the site. I definitely recommend the walking tour.

I was nervous about walking all the way up to the Acropolis. But our guide Constantine was masterful. He walked in a leisurely pace, telling us all about the history and Greek mythology. At various points along the way, we would stop in shady spots and he would keep telling his stories, then we would continue on. Before I knew it, we were at the top. Very well done.
