Good learning experience and the food was great

While this experience was advertised as a "private event" your group only, there were 2 other groups there, a total of 8 people. It turned out find, they were all nice people, but not what I expected from the description on Viator. Alessia is very fun and she knew her stuff, she was helpful with each person. The learning experience was enjoyable and the dinner was great. You get to be in her home and see how an Italian couple live. The space was a little tight for 8 people, but she made it work. I would recommend this to others, just be aware if you want a "private" experience, this might not be it. You could walk to her home from the train station, it took about 1/2 hour, there were good sidewalks the entire way, we felt safe while walking.

Alessia was a great teacher for our family with 11 year old twins, including everyone in each step of the way. The food was delicious and the guests were fun. Alessia was a gracious host.

We had such a wonderful time with Alessia! She truly was such a wonderful teacher and made the whole experience so fun! It’s in such a personal setting and she has all the ingredients and explains each step thoroughly. Please make sure to reach out to her regarding the start time and make sure to book her because this was one of our favorite activities! Hope to do it again and bring family!

Waste of time and money

This is not a reliable host. I booked with her and the day of our booking I went to her house and rang her doorbell. When 15 min passed with no answer I messaged her just to find out she’s on a business trip and cancelled. I had my whole day centered around that class. She wasted valuable time and money for transportation. I recommend you book else where. There are better options in Bologna.

Fun Cooking Experience

Alessia is located about a half hour walk from center city. There were 7 of us in total. I was worried because the space is on the small side and we took turns making the tiramisu. Making the pasta was much more hands on and we all did all of the steps. The experience really makes you appreciate the work for a homemade pasta. We then enjoyed our pasta in sauces made by Alessia and the tiramisu. It was a really fun evening and a good value.

We were welcomed into Alessia’s home for our cooking class, and she was very warm and accommodating. Even before the class, she kept in touch about the class and location and made sure of any food restrictions. We all enjoyed the learning experience and were able to participate in most stages of the preparation. Eating your culinary creations is your reward. Whether you have any cooking talent or not, you will find this class enjoyable and informative.

This was a really fun activity. You get to go to a local's house, learn how to make pasta, cook it, eat it! My two teenagers really enjoyed rolling their sleeves up and getting involved. Then, after you've eaten and drunk your fill, you don't even have to wash up! We did this as part of a small group which resulted in interesting conversation over a great dinner. The host who runs this activity is lovely and welcoming. I would definitely recommend!
