    Fantastic time making pasta with Irene! My husband and I had a blast and learned a few things. She cooked us lunch after with the pasta we made and it was a great experience in Bologna. She welcomes you into her family home and make you so comfortable and it was fun. Highly recommend it.

    The class itself was nicely done, but the pick up didn't happen as planned. After waiting 20 minutes at the designated address, I called the host. There was much messaging and calling back and forth before she told me her husband would pick me up at another location quite a bit further down the street. Then I waited there for about another 15 minutes before he arrived with the other two in the class.

    We had a wonderful time with our kids in the house of the host. She did a great job teaching every step of making the pasta as well as helping our children keep up and learn. I was shocked when I tasted the pasta we made, it was amazing and our kids are all ready asking when can we make pasta at home. My only criticism of the event was the quantity of food for the price. There should have been additional sides such as a salad or bread, in addition to additional pasta beyond the small amount we made to eat. The class was exactly what I was looking for with my family, but I advise you to not arrive hungry.

    Dear Tim, we thank you your review. However we have to stress that there Is a big differenze between quantities of pasta made from adults only or of made with children. Also because usually children are mostly playing with the dou like It was plastilin so this Is the reason they cannot make and amount of pasta that can even be considered dinner. Anyway courses are usually including the three dishes of pasta together with fresh fruit or dessert and they Always arrive so full to the third dish that they are not even have the space for coffee as well. So we always suggest not to be comparing courses made from adults with the ones made from families with children

    We had a wonderful experience at our cooking class. Irene (& her family) were so welcoming to us in their home. Irene was so lovely and had a gentle and positive manner as she shared her pasta making skills with us. As her english language was so good she was also able to share a lot of information about Italy and her region in particular.     I loved the idea, Irene is a very good and patient teacher. Issues as to why I don’t recommend unless she fixes them. 1. she is clearly being extremely cheap. 75 euro a person isn’t cheap 150 a couple. Ingredients were cheap more effort could have been put into more quality ingredients and better products. It was like she has a budget of 20 euros for the whole class. No Italian would pay 150 euros to eat cheap ingredients micro portions and cheap wine. This is why her primary customer would be a tourist who doesn’t know better. I think if you took 150 to a fancy restaurant here you wouldn’t even be able to finish the food. Her family were a little intrusive place was extremely messy. My advice do this just for the experience but I would assume there are more professional courses for about the same price!

    We always buy our ingrediente by the local tipical market of town. The ricotta cheese and parmesan come from a local producer. Parsley and fruit are taken from a local direct producer as well. Mortadella comes from the MOST known local Company named Alcisa and eggs and flour are coming from a Company distributing also to restaurante and hotels of the city. Wine Is Sangiovese and comes from local producers of both the Areas of Dozza and Imola. Even of It was not required from any site, i was personally attending and Academy for becoming chef in order to know how to reach to the people to know how to do their pasta. The budget we give to all of our courses Is made of quality and excellence

    Irene is very knowledgeable and a good teacher but there were too many people there for any kind of personal instruction. She covers the actual making of the dough and rolling it, but not the cooking of it. There were 14 people in a small apartment. Half that number would have been better.

Thank you for the compliments to me but Sorry about your not feeling good for the Number of people but Just consider that all of My courses are Finding a maximum Number of people of 14 people staying in a dining roon that Is about 25 mq. Anyway i thank you for taking some time making US improving our services

    We would like to start by saying that Irene is a good teacher. She explained well how to make the pasta and was very kind the whole time. Nothing to say there. However, the experience does not match the description of the tour. It is not worth the price of 150$ for a couple. First, it is in her house, which is tiny and messy. And we were making pasta on a kitchen table while the husband was surfing online and we could see everything he was looking for. In the picture it looks like it is in a big room and more professional but it is very old school and overrated. Second, the tour was supposed to start at 6 but it was postponed to 6:15 and we were never told. It actually started at 6:45 at the end because someone was not able to find the building of the apartment. Third; the dinner was very very average. It was not home made at all. They used cans to make the bolognese sauce and told us it is because we are not in the Tomato season, which we actually are until September. The three main dishes were not tasty and we were disappointed by the dinner. It really is not worth the price we paid and the time. Save your money and find something more professional.

    Hi. Just ready your message now. Very Sorry in Reading so many false things you wrote about your experience. Husband and staff are usually online when a urgente attention to some request Is required. The Hans made Is relative to the pasta you make and cannot include of course the making even of the tomato sauce that would required One hour or more only on that. Nobody replied tò you about months of tomaties. At last courses are all having a 15 minutes of tolerance for people being late but no course in night years has never been starting later that 6.15 pm. So we cannot understand the reason of so many false things written on US.

    I loved Irene! She was the most memorable part of my day, she is just a down to earth, smiling beautiful lady and the goodness in her just shines. She was a fantastic guide through making three types of pasta. I loved being in her authentic little apartment and her hands on approach. So glad I also arranged for her to come and collect me and return me to my hotel as I wasn’t confident with transport on my own. The pasta was great, easy enough to try at home. Do yourself a favour and go enjoy her company for the day.

    Probably my favorite experience in Italy so far. Irene was so kind, very helpful, and made the experience very personalized. I really loved taking this class and I am definitely going to be bringing home some recipes. As a 21 year old woman, I was nervous to do something like this alone, but Irene made me feel comfortable and excited to cook!!

    Thank you Inge for your comment. I am sorry that you mention the attention that my husband was requiring from me, but I would only remember to you that you came on the 8th of May that in Italy was the "mom's day" and my husband only tried to arrange something special for the evening later together with my son and daughter. Moreover you were not alone bus sharing experience with other Guests and we are used to leave our Guests being taking their relaxing dinner after the pasta course by themselves in order they can even share some fun with other Guests as well. We hope you will keep in mind and heart the experience you had in a real bolognese house, that is the most important fact for me. Best regards.

    The chef/teacher was fun and informative, and she made sure that we were successful in making our pasta. It was interesting to be in an everyday Italian home. We would have liked to have eaten all together with the family but with COVID it was probably safer for the family to eat in the kitchen and us in the dining room.
