We were very confused because we found out that we were the only two in our group continuing on the the Dome climb. Our guide didn’t really want to take the time to explain. She said she only has one tour, not two. Again, we didn’t realize it was two different tours, as it was sold as one. We were given two tickets for entrance to theDome and told to just “walk that way and we’ll find it.” Ok, we did find it, however once inside, we found out that one of the vouchers we were given had already been used. I got through, nut my husband didn’t. I was in tears. The security told us that we should call the police because we had been given “fake tickets!” I did contact Viator and they refunded me, however I was still very upset 😢

Really sorry for the inconvenience, TOUR WHICH YOU BOOKED Accademia guided tour and self Dome Climb tour, we already provided the Accademia Tour as we promised. Really we did not provide you fake tickets. It was double printed by mistake, And you asked both tickets fake and I gave you both tickets refund, But here you have mentioned only one ticket had been used. If you had a problem you should call us same time. Any way we refunded both tickets money.

I'm not sure I would do this tour again. It was a larger group and we were passed from one guide to another half way through. The first guide was easier to understand her English than the second. The ear pieces only worked well when you were right on top of the guide and could partly read her lips. I think we could have accomplished this on our own

There were over 20 people in the group, NOT FEWER THAN 10 as stated. We received a 1 hour guided Accademia tour, then told to be at the Duomo to climb to the top on our own. They substituted another tour after we arrived, so it was too late to cancel it. No gelato, no gift. Unclear ticket redemption instructions. Tour office was closed, phone was disconnected. Viator is not willing to refund any of it. Beware of their descriptions. Don't trust Viator.

Hi Regina, Your review is not accurate to what actually happened that day. Your group did NOT have over 20 people, but only 12. Our group size is 10-12 people, we never stated “FEWER THAN 10” as you mistakenly mentioned. After the Accademia tour finished we were expecting you for the second part at the Duomo, where you would be given a tour of the square and its main attractions, only then you would climb the dome without the tour guide. The Opera del Duomo has been trying to reduce the amount of tour groups in the dome to allow visitors to enjoy the activity and the view from the top. You however, decided not to go to the second part, clearly told our tour guide you had another appointment to get to. Looks like you did not read the voucher Viator sends after the purchase of a tour. It gives clear instructions on where to meet us and how to identify us. We handle hundreds of customer per day, and they all show up on time to our meeting location. Still, if any client needs our assistance our number is available 24hrs, we try our best to not leave any person behind. It is never mentioned on the voucher to come to our office, and no phone was disconnected. You forgot to mention on this review your chat with our manager by email, you asked where to meet us for the tour and all the instructions were given even though you can find them on your booking. We sent screenshots of this conversation to Viator, proving we did our part. You are making an attempt to have your money refunded while leaving out important information about what actually happened. This is not an honest feedback. To our potential customers, everything you need to know about the activity will be written clearly on the system generated voucher by Viator/TripAdvisor. Florence & Global Tours team

Our tour was, unknown to us, booked through a "middle man service" who was late so we had to hurry to the meeting place where we were handed off to the actual tour guide outside the Vatican. The actual tour service and our guide was very knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating. If you have the opportunity book directly though the tour service and avoid the "middle man" service.
