Eli was the perfect our guide. Beside being absolutely adorable, his knowledge of the history of the area and its many lores - he educated us on the topography and the many trees that grow around the area with their historical signify and practical usage. We won’t sugar coat this - the hills we’re rough right out of the gate. The ride itself isn’t long but not easy. The steep climbs are indeed quite steep and require good quad strength but not impossible. The views were spectacular and our “snack” at the end in a wonderful trattoria over looking a beautiful and fragrant garden was scrumptious. There were accommodations for those with dietary restriction and allergies. For instance- my husband and I don’t eat pork. What we received were three dishes. caponata, cous cous and a vegetable bread spread with two different cheese with a cup of honey…excellent. Unlimited bread and the others had a huge tray of Italian meats. And of course…..Wine and Olive Oil which Eli gave us some interesting history and lessons on. The bike are in really good shape. One women did use an e bike and she was thrilled of its performance on the hills. We would recommend this 4.5 hour tour. Make sure you wear your sunscreen and are ready for a work-out for ANY level of fitness. We loved Eli and would highly recommend him for a guide.

This ride was well done and let us see the Tuscon Country side from a different perspective. The vineyard was exquisite.
Enjoyable bike experience

We had a fantastic guide. Great food and wine as well as a wonderful history of the area. Highly recommend.
A must in Tuscany!

Me and my two friends had a very short stay in Florence and wished for this tour so much! Because of the weather we could not decide on time and on the day of our arrival there were no places. We called the agency and the most wonderful and committed person there- AMBRA, did her best to make the tour possible for us. She found a guide (VALERE) on a very short notice and also a farm that would accept us for wine and olive tasting. The whole trip was amazing, everything went smoothly, Valere was more than pleasant, he beard each of us ( 3 crazy ladies with different cycling rhythm, always looking for stops and photos, more or less talkative :)))) ) Despite some parts of the road which were a bit difficult in terms of traffic, we felt safe at all times as the guide always assured the way and that we are all good. The tour was suppose to take 6 hours but Valere was so nice to make it a bit longer since we enjoyed it so much and took us to places with the most amazing views. The bikes were pretty good ( we opted for e-bikes ) and I would say that anyone with a minimum of physical condition who knows how to cycle, will have no problem in taking this tour, there will be stops and then a longer lunch break ( which was also a great experience for us as we enjoyed the very tasty food and wines )

Hi Doria, Thank you for the wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you had a great time on our E-bike Tuscany tour with lunch at the farm with our Valerio. Thank you for reviewing the work of our lovely Ambra, who strives to ensure excellent service for all our guests. Creating memorable experiences for our guests is our goal, and we look forward to hosting you again soon! The WLT team
Great experience and tour guide!

We had a fantastic time on our tour - great guide and wonderful experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, history, and gave great additional notes as we went through the day. We saw a lot of Florence we otherwise would not have and felt this tour was a great value for the price. The hills were no joke and if you are not in shape or an experienced bike rider, this is not the tour for you. I would call this medium to challenging activity level.

Non-bikers enjoyed this beautiful Tuscan ride
Sheryl_M, Oct 2023
Lovely way to get a beautiful view of Tuscan countryside. Our guide, Eli, was amazing. He shared historical knowledge of Florence, properties along our route, vegetation and of course, wine and olive oil. Plenty of stops to catch your breath and take photos along the route. My husband transformed from a reluctant participant to a grateful, happy one. Highly recommend!

Amazing way to get out of the city and see the countryside
Olivia_C, Oct 2023
This tour was a highlight of our trip to Florence! When we reached the bike shop we were quickly fitted with a bike and helmet. It was a quick bike ride out of the city into Tuscany - but be aware that there are several hills so this is a workout! Our tour guide, Valerio, was very knowledgable about Tuscan history and the sights we saw (such as a former Medici family estate turned boarding school). The light snack and wine tasting offered was in a lovely restaurant surrounded by a garden. We really enjoyed eating lunch and chatting with our group, which was a diverse mix of Americans, Australians, Belgians, Dutch, and our Italian tour guide. The wine was amazing and offered in red and white varieties, and the snack (prosciutto and cheese, or a vegetarian option, along with fresh bread) was a great light lunch. Overall, this was a fantastic way to spend the day and felt like a very authentic Italian experience.
Thumbs-up short ride, but wanted more
Scott_B, Sep 2023
Great guide with informative stops and picture-taking. Tuscany countryside ride was beautiful, but was preceded/followed by city ride from/to the bike shop. City ride was a bit treacherous trying to dodge vehicles and people. E-bikes (and introductory instruction) worked well, though many folks did just as well without them. Tastings were little more than a glass of wine and olive oil served with a plentiful Italian lunch plate at a restaurant on the edge of town. Meeting point was difficult to find without a business logo to see from the street. This was probably an ideal half-day bike tour, but for more Tuscany countryside and less city riding I would recommend a different tour with the same company if available.

Views from the highest vantage points Our guide Giavoni was very knowledgeable The overall trip was challenging, a few uphill climbs , if you are not used to bike riding, take the E bike option
Amazing !

It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end . Eli our guide was fabulous , he was so knowledgeable about the history of the interesting stops we made along our ride , he was funny and charming. The typical Tuscan food and wine we enjoyed at Villa Agape was so delicious. Our e-bikes were a dream to ride . I would highly recommend this tour .
Safe, friendly & informative.

We had a great experience today. Our guides were fantastic, informative and patient ! Choose the e bike option if (like me ) your not much of a rider - incredible views and the destination for the delicious platter & tasting was amazing. The bikes seem to be kept in great order. Thanks to everone at 'we like tuscany'.
Highlight of Florence trip

Eli was a fabulous guide! Loads of information on local history as well as the olive oil, wine and local flora. Plenty of stops to admire the amazing views and history. Cheese, bread, olive oil and cold cuts were all delicious 😋 lovely stressfree tour away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommend 👌
Great Active Tour of Florence Outskirts
Mary_P, Aug 2023
This tour was excellent - our guide Jacopo Dri was amazing with his knowledge of the regional history and terrain. This tour is best for individuals in good physical shape and comfortable on a bike. There are 5 hills as you climb into Tuscany that are not easy. The tour starts in the city so there is some road sharing with cars. Jacopo was great about making sure our entire group was safe and comfortable. We enjoyed the snack at the local olive farm. They provide you with a water bottle as well to take with you which was a nice bonus. Great views of Florence after we reached the top of the mountain.
Enjoyable half day experience
Patrick_V, Jul 2023
Very enjoyable four hour bike ride tour of Florence and surrounding area. Our tour guide Amar was a fun guide, very knowledgable of Florence and its history. The tour included stops at some historical spots and vantage points overlooking the city as well as a pleasant stop for lunch which comprised a glass of wine, some breads with olive oil and local cold meats (no cheese for us, although some other reviews mentioned sampling it). A number of reviews mention the hills however if you are 50s or younger and fairly fit, then I'd say they aren't that bad. The first hill is quite long but not particularly steep and we stopped halfway for a break. Others were steeper but quite short. If you are older or not particularly fit then go with an e-bike (25 Euros more per bike).

Biking through the Tuscan Countryside!!
Margaret_A, Jun 2023
Frederica and Leo were great hosts on this fantastic Bicycle Tour out into the Tuscan countryside! I would highly recommend it. Halfway through you end up at a gorgeous Villa to have a delicious Lunch & Chianti wine, then make your way back downhill to Florence. Wonderful scenery and Fred gave us some interesting stories about all things Italian.
Tuscan beauty
Stephanie_J, Jun 2023
The history lessons from our excellent tour guid, Giuseppe, exceeded expectations. Scenery 10/10, including a cloudburst mid ride, but the final destination at the villa was worth the ride alone. Would recommend for most levels but the hill is deceivingly steep, so mentally prepare. Plenty of breaks built in. Some on the busy fast roads but just don’t play “tour de France” and you’ll be fine!
Highly recommended

Highly recommended! Beautiful bike tour with very kind and knowledgeable guide (Jacopo). Scenic, tasty and informative.
Interesting but not what we booked for.
Janis_H, May 2023
The scenery was spectacular and our guide Guila very knowledgeable, however this was not the tour we booked so very disappointed that it was changed without any contact or consultation on top of that we had booked an e-bike tour which this tour was not and had to pay extra on the day for an e-bike.
Response from Host, May 2023
Hi Janis, this is Andrea, we met on the morning of the tour. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour, but I have to tell you that you did not book an E-bike tour, and the description of the tour you booked perfectly reflects the fact that E-bikes are an optional extra and are NOT included... sorry but you did not read the tour description properly. We also sell E-bike tours, but you did not book one of those! Finally, nobody changed your tour, and I don't really know where you got that feeling from... You could have asked us about it, we are here to solve the doubts and concerns of our clients, it's our job (and it's better than getting low-star reviews due to a misunderstanding)! Still, we are sorry for your disappointment. have a great day! Andrea
Great trip in the rain!
Edward_O, May 2023
Leo was a very good and informative guide, and told us a great story on the history of Florence. Great villa visit with local snacks and wine! It rained but trip was soo good it didn’t matter!
Beautiful countryside bike ride
Mike_F, May 2023
The biking was everything we hoped for. Julia was so personable and informed us about much of the history of Florence. We loved our ride so much through the hills of Florence/Tuscany even though it was raining the whole time. One thing that was a bit hairy was our ride back into the city center was crowed with people and cars and didn’t love riding through that but that was only the last 5-10 mins. Would highly recommend
