Make your way to Piazza dell' Unità, where this tour begins, then learn the basics of Florence cuisine as you walk to the first stop of the day, a local market. Taste freshly rolled pasta, extra virgin olive oil, truffles, and cantucci biscuits, crunchy almond cookies that are beloved in Tuscany. Whet your appetite for the rest of the tour with small bites that combine prosciutto, cheeses, and seasonal garnish—as you nibble, your guide will share the delicious history of eating appetizers before meals.

Continue to the next foodie destination to try typical Florentine dishes and get the scoop on the ingredients, history, and preparation of each. Throughout the tour, you’ll see a combination of classic Florentine highlights and lesser-known destinations, walking past the Duomo, the Santa Croce Basilica, San Lorenzo Market, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Piazza della Signoria.

It was a great experience! The guide Dilara was sweet and spoke flawless English. It was the best tour I had in Florence. The places we went to served delicious plates, so my friend and me after the tour bought ourselves packages of truffles and cantucci 🫶❤️

Marilisa was a wonderful tour guide and my husband and I both enjoyed the tour. It was nice to be able to sit at a restaurant for one of the stops instead of having to try and eat pasta standing in the street. We learned a lot about the local food and some of the locals.

The cruise ship could not dock due to the weather. The operator said the could only email the tour operator. The tour operator still expected me and texted me so see if I was coming! I canceled 24 hours before so I hope it is refunded.

Absolutely worth the cost. As much a walking tour of the city as a food tour. You do get a good amount of food, not too much though so as to feel overly full. The tour guide was lovely and gave us advice on what to do after.

We had a really awesome time on this tour!! My husband and I chose this tour to kick off our visit in Florence so that we could get to know the place a little and learn about the food. Little did we expect that we’d be absolutely blown away by our tour guide Marilisa’s kindness and hospitality, her humor, and especially her ability as a tour guide! She made everything interesting and explained things in a way that was really easy to understand. We learned so much about the history of Florence and its food! One thing we were really grateful for is that she took special care to make sure our food allergies were accounted for and that we would be safe eating everything. It suddenly rained a whole bunch in the middle of the tour, but even then Marilisa kept everyone’s spirits up and we still finished the tour on a high note! We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Florence.

I guess the food was OK. None of the spots were so good that we had to go back. The guide was so so. She was preoccupied with something else and was constantly on her phone. Everything on the tour you could definitely do yourself with minimal research.

Marilisa gave us a fantastic food tour in Florence, she included a historical tour too which I hadn’t expected and really enjoyed. The choice of food stops was amazing, we returned to several during our stay. Our favourites were the coccoli, pasta in the market and of course the gelato!

The tour was brilliant and our guide Marilisa was excellent. She was very knowledgable about Florence, it’s history and it’s tasty food! The Cantucci with “Holy water” (aka wine!) was delicious and the schiacciate with the raddish sauce was a treat - even if we were pretty stuffed by that point! Complete value for money and a great way to learn about a city, as well as places to eat like the locals.

Fun tour to try lots of local foods and learn their backgrounds while walking through Florence. The lunch stop was pleasant and delicious. My only suggestion would be to add in some more history about areas you are passing so it is more of a walking tour with food stops.
