What To Expect

Your hot air balloon tour begins just outside of Florence, in the village of San Casciano Val di Pesa, where your captain and crew meet you at the launch spot. After a brief safety overview, hop aboard the basket and rise up over the Tuscan hillside.

Peer down at a scenic landscape of cypress trees, fruit orchards, and vineyards. From 2,000 feet (609 meters), enjoy unique aerial views of nearby villages, castles and the iconic Tuscan hills that make this one of the most beautiful settings in the world.

Glide back down to the ground and toast your fellow travelers with a glass of sparkling wine.

A Must Do In Tuscany!

What a beautiful experience! It was a first time for each of us and at the end, we swore it wouldn't be a last! The team was extremely professional, thorough and made us all feel safe and comfortable. The communication was excellent, our balloon pilot explained every step, procedure and even what and why of what he was doing with the balloon and controlling the direction. Sunrise over the Tuscan hillside was an experience that shouldn't be missed and doing it from the air in a peaceful balloon was a trip of a life time. We had a smooth landing and watched the ground crew work with such precision to pack up the balloon, load up the basket all while eating a selection of pastries, meats and cheeses with prosecco. The entire experience was amazing!

Hovered over a parking lot

People were very nice and the ease of being picked up was great. However, I was really really looking forward to this— had visions of soaring over Tuscan hillsides, maybe some vineyards…. Ending up hovering about 5-7 stories up over industrial buildings and parking lot for more than half the tour. I wanted to cry. They said due to high winds we would stay low, which I get, but why hover over a parking lot? Why not a field? Also, I saw other hot air balloons soaring high over fields near us, so I just felt really sad and disappointed. Especially for how expensive it was

I booked this as a surprise for my wife while we were in Florence. We traveled to Paris, Positano, Rome, Florence, and Portofino on this trip and the hot air balloon ride was the highlight of our trip. They picked us up at our hotel. It was a nice ride there and back seeing the Tuscan county side. When we landed from the ride they had an amazing spread of wine, juices, cheese, bread, and fresh pastries fresh from the bakery. The crew were the absolute best. If you are considering adding this to your trip. DON’T HESITATE! BOOK IT! You will not regret it.

Absolutely amazing! They provide transportation if needed. That was very helpful with out an auto. The crew was terrific and very friendly. The pilot was very experienced, friendly and explained what what happening during the trip. He also pointed out sites and made you feel very comfortable. You are able to get up close while they fill the balloons. Cool to watch! It is a full basket with people, but was ok. It was fun to see everyone reactions. Tuscany is beautiful and couldn’t ask for a better view. They have a drone taking videos and still shots. Got some great photos and had no problem spending a little more $ to capture the experience. Ends with champagne / juice, FRESH cheese, baked goods and meats. What a nice touch! Completed the experience and let you soak in the trip and countryside. Highly recommend this excursion and company!!
