What To Expect

Save time and hassle with this hike and kayak tour, where your guides will arrange all your gear and transport. You won’t have to deal with transporting your own kayak or finding parking at the national park, either.

Just easily find your guide at the meeting spot, and then you’ll be on your way for your multi-sport adventure.

You’ll be kayaking for around 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) in total, and hiking for about 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers), so make sure you have a good breakfast beforehand, and maybe bring some snacks to keep you fueled up.

Your hike is through the rainforest, often on muddy trails. Your guide will point out all the wildlife in the area while you’re en route to the impressive Uluwehi Falls, aka Secret Falls.

After, you’ll kayak back to your meeting spot. The total tour takes around five hours.

Our tour guide Kman was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, informative and fun! My daughter was excited that she was able to ride back in the kayak with him. The kayak ride itself is very smooth and the hike up to the waterfall was so beautiful. The waterfall itself was amazing. If you’re visiting Kauai I would 100% recommend this.

An adventure. First day trail to waterfall opened back up after the flood. Guide was great. Fun swimming at base of waterfall at the end of trail. Overall amazing experience and outdoor activity.

10/10 recommend! Kayaking was alittle hard at first learning how to kayak on a double kayak when we’re used to singles. The hike was gorgeous and waterfall was beautiful! Hiking was definitely easier than kayaking!

The queens bath and the falls were breathtaking. The kayak and hike were very doable for almost anyone!
An amazing adventure!

This was the first time my husband and I tried kayaking. Our guide, Mana, was awesome and gave us great instructions and encouragement. This was the first kayak/hike since a recent flash flood and it was challenging. Mana cut some hau walking sticks for us which made it doable for us (we're in the seniors category). All of the people in the group were also very helpful and encouraging. We were able to experience the beauty of Queen's Bath and the gorgeous Uluwehi waterfalls. Amazing!

The evening on day before the kayak trip on 4/25/24 the vendor sent me a text that there was no access to the water fall. The trip was canceled. I have not yet received a refund.
Love this

Nice adventure

Fun with family kids and grand kids. Paddling and short hike were exceptional with knowledgable guide. Due to weather we were unable to go to the falls but still worth the reduced rate.
Can be awesome but…
Anna_H, Apr 2024
Awesome experience. But, you have to wear water shoes that you can hike in. Trail is wet and muddy. We went in April. You are walking through muddy, slippery rocks and crossing 3 streams. One went almost to our waist. Very difficult terrain. Do not go if you have any physical impairments as you won’t make it. If you are physically fit and love the outdoors then you will enjoy it. If you don’t, you will not find this experience enjoyable. Keep in mind that after 2 hours if this hike you have to kayak back for another mike and a half. Our guide Nui is as awesome!
SUPER TOUR!

Our guide was the best. Lots of history and fact during the tour. KAYAKING was not harmed and the hiking was a little tricky but fine if you don’t have mobility issues.
Hike to Secret Falls. Not so Secret.
Mary_F, Apr 2024
The waterfalls and the river. Beautiful. But the secret falls are not so secret. Heavy traffic on the trail. Sturdy hiking shoes recommended.
Making Memories

Jake was a great guide. We were part of a group of 12. It was crowded where we beached the kayaks. The hike is on rocks and mud. You will get wet. Jake hiked barefoot. I would not recommend that. Flip flops and crocs are not a good idea. Water and snacks are a great idea. There were people in their 80s and parents with toddlers. The falls are beautiful, the pool was fun to wade in. I watched a few people slip on the mossy rocks, so be careful We returned to the kayaks to find half of them missing because the tide had risen.
Must do in Kauai!

Definitely more than anticipated - we loved it from the very start (yes - friendly check in and welcome) to the very end - all between was just spectacular! The river, the views, the stories- the trail walk - the river crossings and climbs - crowned with a swim in beautiful waterfall and all this beauty doubled on the way back! Words can’t describe- thank you guys for fantastic day!
Wonderful experience that we’d do again!

Our guide Sam took us on an amazing kayak trip up the river, then a hike to the waterfall. We learned so much and saw beautiful parts of Kauai. My son is 12 and loved it! It is definitely a bit of a workout…not a leisurely ride or walk. Definitely bring snacks or lunch to eat at the falls.
A good and enjoyable workout.

Beautiful scenery, not so challenging kayaking and hiking ending up with a beautiful waterfall where you can take a dip.
Amazing ! 10/10 would recommend!

We have never gone kayaking before and it was challenging and fun! The hike was beautiful, vigorous and unlike anything we’ve done before! Our guide was informative, friendly, funny and most of all he looked out for our safety. Nui was an exceptional guide!
Secret Falls Kayak and Hike

This was so much fun! The kayak part of the trip is super pretty and then the hike to the waterfall is a great hike with river crossings. Our guide, Khayman, was super knowledgeable and told us lots of stories and fun facts during the trip. He also helped everyone over the more tricky parts of the trail and took pictures the entire time, which was so great to not have to worry about trying to get pictures of our group all together. Would definitely recommend doing this kayak and hike!
Kayaking and hiking Wailua Falls

The guides were terrific! They were professional, explaining the safety concerns in detail. They prioritized our safety and comfort throughout the trip. We had a large group, but our guide made it a point to learn and use everyone’s name! They were not only very knowledgeable, but humorous, which made the experience even more fun! The waterfall was worth the hike to get to.
Great

Jumping into the pool and Sitting under the waterfall. The kayaking was nice but I am a bit sore. Thank you for a great time
Great adventure!

My favorite tour of my trip. Kala was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable. And he was nice enough to share a kayak with me since I was a solo traveler The kayaking was so nice. And the hike to the waterfall was pretty mild: some river crossing and a few rocky areas but not too bad. Very doable. It was muddy at parts but was still doable. Getting to the waterfall was worth it! Gorgeous!
