Follow in the footsteps of one of Britain’s most celebrated Prime Ministers and historic figures on this private, Winston Churchill-themed walking tour. Following pickup from your hotel or another convenient meeting point, you’ll explore the areas of Mayfair, Westminster, and Piccadilly associated with Churchill, from his childhood home and 10 Downing Street to the cigar shop he once frequented. Your final stop is at the Churchill War Rooms, the secret bunker from which he ran World War II.

Fantastic tour, with lots of added bonuses unique to the tour itself

My husband and I had a fantastic tour with Kevin! He was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and showed us many of the quirky bits of Churchill history (and some Royal history) throughout the tour. It is a fairly long tour, so be prepared with comfortable and supportive shoes. Well worth the money and it was a bonus to go into some shops that have history - definitely something you don't get on larger groups tours!

A “must-do” while in London!

Our guide Stephen provided an interesting story at every point during the tour. He was an encyclopedia of fun facts and trivia about Churchill, WW2, Royalty and London history. We learned so much during our time together we were reluctant for the walking tour to end. However, the Churchill War Rooms did not disappoint ! The audio tour (available with the ticket) provides insights into a critical part of world history.

Stephen was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He allowed us to move at our own pace and was very receptive to questions. We would not have gain as much knowledge about London if we walk the city on our own. Fabulous Walk Through Churchill's London

Stephen was a terrific, highly entertaining guide. Every step of the way he was telling Churchill stories with all the humor one would expect and hope to hear. One highlight was visiting Churchill's favorite cigar shop which featured (among other delights) a picture of Churchill in a chair, and finding that very chair actually there in the shop. I was able to sit in the chair for a selfie! Overall, the tour was a tour of Churchill's life in London - favorite shops, favorite restaurants, favorite quotes, culminating with the tour of the War Rooms. One caveat - it's a long walk and the friend I was traveling with had to drop out before we got to the War Rooms - so best be in good shape. But if you like to walk and are fascinated by everything Churchill (as I am) this was the perfect tour.

Three house tour with lots of information.

Stephen met us at our hotel and we walked (and walked) all around as he provided us with a rich history lesson and pointed out landmarks. By coincidence we caught the changing of the guards parade and Stephen, thinking ahead, found us a perfect place to watch and snap pictures as they passed by. The tour ended as we entered the Churchill bunker and museum and we knew if he had come in there too, he could have shared his wealth of knowledge.

The tour you really must do

I have been on tours in many places, and by far Kevin gave us our best tour ever. The off the beaten path special history sites, and the personal places that Churchill went to were just amazing. Kevin had lots of facts of course, but also told great stories woven with great humor. I would recommend this tour most highly.
