What To Expect

Arrive at your choice of departure point on each day. Climb into a comfortable tour vehicle and set out for your day's tour.

Day 1: Puebla and Cholula

Travel towards Cholula and enjoy views of the Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl volcanoes on the way. Once you arrive, visit the church of Santa María de Tonantzintla, known for its combination of Baroque and indigenous architecture and lavish decoration. Then venture over to Puebla, known as the 'City of Angels'. Take a break for lunch (own expense) to try local favorites like mole poblano or semita. Follow your guide on a walking tour of the city center, then stop at the local market for snacks and a chance to purchase some souvenirs.

Day 2: Taxco & Prehispanic Mine
“For the second day, you will take the road to Taxco, the oldest mining city in America, explore an ancient pre-Hispanic mine and discover how to find and extract the precious minerals that were used before the arrival of the Spaniards.

Continue discovering this beautiful city, stroll through its cozy squares and cobblestone streets. Visit some handicraft store, filled with local silver, and one of the country's grandest churches, Santa Prisca.

Missed half my tour

I took the Taxco and Cuernavaca on the first day. It was good both the driver and the guide were friendly and funny. Then for the second day I showed up for the meeting point and there was no one there. When they arrived they told me that tour was not available until Friday. I was told I will get a refund since I will not be here anymore by Friday.

The tours destinations are good to see. Bad Point: Amigo tours uses glorified city buses. They had no A/C on buses I took on 3 of 4 different tour dates Most days were 85 degrees +. Taxco was 5 hr bus ride in 100 degree heat. NO A/C !!! Amigo Tours cares little about customers.

The experience was very different both days as the first guide was terrible. He didn't speak english, was not knowledgeable and organized stops very badly. The worst was the lack of AC in the bus both days in 30 degree C temperatures. Taxco and Puebla are amazing! They picked us up from our hotel.

This is a two day tour. Tour guides Francisco and Kevin were outstanding. First day tour with Francisco to Puebla and Cholula was excellent but got delayed due to picking up people at various locations. This was the problem with all tours I purchased from this company. Coming back got caught in the traffic and it was 5 hours of torture sitting in the bus. Wish we had taken a break in between. This was unusual. On second day tour with Kevin was good and he is very good. People person! He even accommodated drivers female friend to sit on the front passenger seat and he sat on a small chair in between the driver and passenger in the front. Very uncomfortable and not safe. Overall tour is good provided safety factors are taken into account.

Enjoyed the trip in Puebla and Taxco. Got to taste the authentic Mexican food. I love Taxco, feels like you're in Santorini Greece. I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Antonio made a special effort to show my husband and I this beautiful church in Puebla while waiting for the other people in our group tour at our meeting place.

Ernesto was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. He was careful to keep us safe but, allowed us to have a good time. His English was wonderful and much appreciated. If you have time do both days for sure but, if you only have one day, it has to be Cuernavaca and Taxco. Truly amazing in every way!

Mi esposo y yo, que venimos desde Francia, tuvimos una muy mala experiencia con la compañía turística Trasportes Turísticos Ejecutivos MGA (AMIGO) que aparentemente presta sus servicios a través de esta Plataforma Viator. Perdimos nuestra cita para viajar a Puebla un dia viernes y a pesar de haber hablado con el personal de Viator , haberles pagado un penalización y haber obtenido la autorización por escrito de la Sra Maira Falcón para reagendar el viaje y realizarlo el día domingo, la compañía Trasportes Turísticos Ejecutivos MGA , nos dejó varados a las 7 de la mañana, desconociendo la legitimidad del procedimiento administrativo realizado con Viator y “lavándose las manos”aduciendo no tener conocimiento de parte de Viator y consolándonos con la frase “ pidan su reembolso a Viator, nosotros no respondemos por ustedes y además no tenemos puesto para ustedes”. Pudimos constatar en dos viajes como está compañía Amigo ubica a los pasajeros como sardinas en lata en sus pequeñas Vans, apretados y sin ninguna seguridad ni respeto de las medidas sanitarias actuales(distanciamiento social) . Toda esta vergonzosa situación dejó en mi esposo y en mi una gran sensación de desamparo y decepción. Por supuesto ya no nos quedan más ganas de hacer ningún otro viaje con esas personas. Ahora esperemos, como éticamente y profesionalmente se debería hacer, que Viator nos responda por esta falta de coordinación entre ellos y NUESTRO DINERO SEA DEVUELTO.!!!!!! El viaje a Taxco se podría calificar de muy regular , en una Camioneta Vans sumamente incómoda, el número de viajeros hace difícil el distanciamiento social vital en este momento de pandemia y no nos suministraron en ningún momento gel hidroalcoholico , lo que hizo muy peligroso nuestro encierro en ese pequeño vehículo. En el pueblo de Cuernavaca solo se visita rápidamente la Catedral , no hubo más atracciones en este sitio. Taxco si vale la pena visitarlo pero hubo algo inesperado en esta excursión y es que nos hacen visitar una mina (no está prevista en la descripción de la excursión) cuya entrada es relativamente costosa por lo que se exhibe adentro y la cual debería estar incluida en el precio del viaje. SI HUBIERA OTRA PRÓXIMA VISITA A MEJICO NOS CUIDARIAMOS DE NO HACER MAS VIAJES TURÍSTICOS CON ESTA COMPAÑÍA “AMIGO” , NO LA RECOMENDAMOS👎😡
