Best Teotihuacan Tour Option with the Best Guide!

What a wonderful excursion! Teotihuacan is a popular attraction when visiting Mexico City, and our Saturday with Angela was exceptional! The pick-up was on time, and the shuttle bus was modern and new with AC that we could adjust individually as the day got hotter, which kept everyone comfortable the entire day. Our tour guide Angela was extraordinarily knowledgeable and well versed in not only the history of the designated stops, but Mexico City as a whole as a native. She was super friendly and funny and had a wealth of knowledge for every stop! She invited us to ask questions, kept us on our toes to made sure we remembered fun facts, and was engaging in a way that you won't get from "regular" guides. She was above and beyond patient with some elderly visitors which I personally admired as a real virtue! She was able to accommodate both Spanish and English translations quickly and smoothly so one one missed a single beat or detail! She was incredible! We had plenty of free time to shop for souvenirs and explore on our own without feeling rushed. Lunch was not included in the price, which was great because we stopped at a wonderful restaurant which accommodated dietary restrictions and I was able to try several dishes while others only had small plates. The pace of the trip was perfect and not as exhausting as some of the other full-day tour. It was the perfect amount of time, that got us back to our hotels by early evening to continue other plans for the day. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide, Angela, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable. Our driver drove carefully and we were in a comfortable air conditioned van. It was a very hot day. We stopped for lunch at a rooftop restaurant. The prices were reasonable and the food was very good. The service was excellent. As a Spanish teacher I was thrilled to see these historic, ancient Mexican sites. They did not disappoint. I recommend this trip.

Wonderful tour! Diana was a wonderful and helpful tour guide. I learned and saw a lot in a very short amount of time. I went solo, as did two others in my group, and everyone was super nice, which made the experience even better. The temples were of course a highlight and must-see from Mexico City! A couple of things to note for when you book 1. the van didn’t have A/C so perhaps consider a portable fan if going during a hot season :) 2. the place we went for lunch was cash only and didn’t have too much to offer for vegetarian — to plan ahead. Would recommend!

This was a superb tour! Francisco, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the pyramids and The Shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe. He was also fun and entertaining, and made of the day a great memory and experience. Also, shout out to our driver, Gilberto!!! He took us to and from in an efficient and safe way. Great people!!! Certainly would recommend this tour!

This was a perfect tour. Fernando, our tour guide was just amazing! And Octavio our driver, was friendly, drove safe, and was great! Fernando was the best. He has a great sense of humor and makes you feel like an old friend, or even like family. He makes you feel like you're in great hands, and you truly are. He handles everything, so you don't have to worry about anything. He communicates very well and will even text/Whatsapp you if you have any questions. I highly recommend this tour if you’re planning to go to Teotihuacan. Everything is done for you and the only thing you have to pay for is lunch. Fernando has tons on knowledge of Mexico City, and the surrounding areas. As well as great info of Teotihuacan. My big notes would be to bring a backpack with water and sunscreen. And definitely bring a hat with sunglasses. All in all it was a great day and we’re so happy we did it! Totally book this tour and ask for Fernando!

An Excellent Day of Contrasts

This is a really good trip of contrasts! The visit to the Mescal tasting and shop was really worthwhile with demonstrations of agave plant uses.. then the 'pyramids' with excellent guide Angela from Wayak Tours was fascinating .. be prepared to walk 1 or 2 K and climb steps. We stopped for a lunch break at La Higuera .. lovely traditional fare and reasonable prices. Then finishing with the Lady of Guadalupe HUGE cathedral.. quite astonished at the size of it and the old Basilica next door .. just enough ! David our driver and Angela our tour guide could not have done better and all communication from Starr to finish was first class. Excellent all round and very good value at £43 GDP per person.

Angela was fun and knowledgeable and the time at each stop was reasonable. Yes, the restaurant we stopped at for lunch wasn’t great but, knowing this, we just ordered a couple of small items and moved on. Loved the hotel pickup and drop off. The van was perfect and Guillermo our driver was great in navigating difficult traffic. Overall I would definitely recommend this tour.

A really informative and enjoyable trip made more interesting by our guide Francisco. His narrations and knowledge were really good and he also made an effort for everyone on the tour to get to know each other which made the experience better. David drove safely and ensured we kept with the program. Really recommend the experience

April 1/24 Jorge was well informed and the tour is amazing but nobody said what parking lot we were in so I returned to the wrong one. The tour guide should have shouted “return to parking lot 4!!” The lunch is lovely but FYI…tip is automatically included. Keep your phone on in case you get separated from the group. Otherwise very informative and educational.
Great tour ruined by lunch

The tour itself was very good; both the driver and guide were excellent. However, it loses 2 stars due to the very poor and extremely overpriced restaurant we were taken to for lunch. They're clearly getting a commission for taking people to this place where the meal was almost 50usd/person without alcohol, for the worst food I've had in Mexico. You can get a gourmet meal in Mexico City for that price so this is unacceptable.

Great tour - Teotihuacan is very impressive and I enjoyed the smaller parts of the trip too to our lady of Guadalupe and Tlatelolco. Jorge was a great guide. My only small piece of feedback is that we could probably have spend a little less time at each location. But this is perhaps personal preference
Overall just average - nothing memorable or special about this tour or tour operator

Tour was just okay, perhaps a little better than average. We were picked up on time and the vehicle was comfortable. We spent an hour picking up other passengers, which was expected. Then went to Tlatelolco, which was nice but with too much road noise to understand the guide's explanation. Then we headed over to Teotihuacan and reached the cooperative store which was ridiculously expensive. Then we toured the pyramids - the highlight of the trip. Then they took us to a local restaurant for lunch (our dime), and unfortunately it was mediocre at best. The food was terrible and the service was worse. Finally, we visited the Shrine of Guadalupe for a short time. Overall just an average experience - nothing memorable or special about this particular tour operator or this tour.

The tour was incredible and very informative! Our guide Ángela taught us much about Mexico City’s history, the ancient civilizations that built Teotihuacán, and the importance of the shrine of Guadalupe. Pickup and drop off at our hotel and between sites was seamless, thanks to our driver Juan.
