this is a product od years of experience in this field, so please let me say something: The customer is always right, specially when is wrong: the crazy tour of the Thapar family!
If I am a five stars guide is because my guests trust me and I can do my job in the best way, in the case of the Thapar family it was impossible.
When they met Raffaele (guide) they told him they were hungry, so they went in a pizzeria for a pizza, then, another stop for an ice-cream "neapolitan Gelato"(guest's wish)..make sure they started an HISTORICAL tour at 14.30 so after lunch; finally mr. Thapar told Raffaele he wanted to visit the Castel (opposite side of the city, off the official route). Raffaele tried to answer it was to far from our tour ( the historica center) but he was inflexible, and he said "i was there 15 years ago and i want to show it to my family (again, guest's desire!). On the long way, and in the castle his daughters created a real photo book! When finally we got again our meeting point (3 hours later), the Gambrinus coffee bar, most of the time was lost. On the way towards the historical center I invited them to visit the most beautiful metro station of Europe, Toledo station. At the ticket office a funny sit-com: who pay the ticket? (make sure that in the description is written that any eventual tickets are not included and we let to our guest to decide (it's your tour and you can custom as you want). We lost more than five minutes - blocking the ticket office - trying to pay first with the credit card, than with a banknote of 50 pounds (we are in Italy, EU, we pay in Euro), finally with a banknote of 50 euro the huge fee of euro 1,10 per person (4,40 euro)! Of course, the girls many times up and down on the escalator to take pictures of the famous well of light! When, finally, we got the historical center the tour time was over. According the Thapar's opinion I am a 2 stars guide, but they are 0 stars guests and it's not our fault!
I think it's not really fair to put 2 stars for a tour that you enjoyed with Raffaele. The amount of walk and the weather it's not about us. You booked a GRAND tour! What do you want to expect?? You booked a tour of 4 hours, you knew it! You booked a tour on the Aug 31, what would you like to expect?? I hope that other people will read also this reply and not just your review.
PS for the entry, there are not fee at all! The only think to pay is the metro station but i think in all the other city of the world you should pay for your trasportation!
