Board the custom‐made, open‐air boat and set off on an educational ride. Holding a max of 22 passengers, this boat offers a more intimate experience as your group quietly winds through narrow swamp passages and gets you closer to native wildlife.

Your expert guide’s commentary makes this an unforgettable wildlife‐spotting expedition through myth‐laden Louisiana terrain. Glide along the water, viewing the lush greenery and abundance of wild animals, including alligators, owls, raccoons, snakes, black bears, bald eagles, and wild boar. True animal enthusiasts will love getting an up‐close (and interactive) look at some of the ‘friendlier’ animals. Get great photos and learn more about the famous regional alligator, who can tip the scales at 1,000 pounds (453 kg). Also learn about the culture and ingenuity of the Cajun people who have—for more than two centuries—inhabited this area and used it as a source of food and medicine. Your guide takes you by a secluded Cajun village that can only be accessed by boat. The tour was fun, the guide was great. But the addresses given with confirmation was incorrect, which made us 18 minutes late for the boat ride and everyone was waiting for us. The address/link said Hwy 90 and it was actually US 90, which is a different location. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience.

Great experience - fun for kids and adults. Perfect sized boat which allows you to see everything. Saw gators, turtles, snakes and raccoons. Guides do a great job. Highly recommend! If you have a car recommend the self transport version. Takeoff point is easy to find and don’t lose all the time waiting for passenger pickups. Boat Tour itself is 2 hours which sounds long but didn’t get bored.

Captain Scott was very knowledgeable about the swamp and its history. He was funny and made the whole experience very enjoyable. He was very good at picking out where the alligators, snakes, and birds were and he got one of the wild raccoons to do tricks. We had a very good time and was very much worth the money.

Captain Zander grew up in the bayou, and clearly knew his way around the swamp. We saw over half a dozen alligators, even though it wasn't the right time of year, as well as turtles, herons, ibis, raccoons, and a snake. He told us stories of growing up on the river. We had a great time! Only thing I would have done differently was bring a sweatshirt... the wind got cold

Paulo was our tour guide and he was awesome. Picked us up from the cruise terminal and was very accommodating. Went to places we asked and was very helpful.
