The tour guide was fabulous. Very informative and interesting. She had a great personality. Helped me find the trolley car at the end. Her name was Eyvette.
The best guide we’ve ever had.

The tour guide never showed up. When I called to get more info, the tour guide mailbox was full. Still don’t have my money returned

The guide never showed up. This is the second time that we have booked a trip through Viator only to have the guide be a no show. Based on these experiences, I question the reliabilty and would not recommend this company to anyone..
Living History On The Go

Learning about the history of the area and NOLA, in general. It was great to have the deep historical context along with critical ways of thinking about the past.

Graham was knowledgeable, engaging, and an excellent tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour. My wife and I live in New Orleans and there was still a great deal we learned.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Thanks so much for the review. It's always exciting to have locals on our tours, as, regardless of how immersed in the city we are, there is such a rich trove of culture and history in New Orleans, that there is always more to discover. It was a pleasure spending the morning together. Best to you and yours. -Graham

A nice stroll through a historic area
YUKO_D, Oct 2021
We walked by some beautiful estates and heard interesting stories of their history. We were disappointed that the cemetery was closed and we could only look through the gate, but all in all, we enjoyed the tour.
Great time!

Guide a no show
Erika_W, Feb 2021
My husband and I were really looking forward to this garden district tour. We waited 1/2 hour at the designated meeting point and the guide never showed up. Called the number listed as contact but no live person, could only leave a message. We ended up walking through the neighborhood by ourselves. We did get to visit the cemetery, see a few nice houses, and wander along Magazine street. Everything was a lot more close together than I thought. Unfortunately the Commanders Palace wasn't open, the cemetery was open to walk through-could only view from outside, and many of the shops and restaurants on Magazine Street were likely closed due to Covid. Some of the houses have plaques on their gates so you can read some of the historical information. It was disappointing to not have the guide to give us the stories/other information we were looking forward to learning on our tour. We weren't prepared to self-guide ourselves and didn't do much research ahead of time. I received an email from the company about two hours after the tour start that said my booking got marked as spam and they didn't know about the booking (although after I booked I got a confirmation from the company). The next day I got a phone call from a nice representative that apologized and offered to reschedule. He said there was a scheduling error as to no guide showing. I see no need to take this company through the ringer since they tried to remedy the situation and seemed to be an honest mistake.. We didn't reschedule because we had already seen most of the things in that area and due to lack of time. My general advice for anyone taking a tour in any area is to do a little research and make a back up plan if a guide no shows. Luckily the garden district was a safe neighborhood to self navigate but some neighborhoods are not as safe. Have a plan to return of self-guide.
Randy Rocks!

Outstanding Tour!
Tony_D, Aug 2020
Tara was absolutely fantastic. Very informative and knowledgeable about the area. The only issue is that the part for the Cemetery Tour was closed (by the City) so we had to “tour” from outside the gates. But, Tara made the absolute best of that situation. Overall, outstanding and would highly recommend.
Awesome tour!
