Make your own way to the gates of the Lafayette Cemetery to meet your guide for your 2-hour walking tour.

Stroll through the Garden District, an elegant neighborhood that was built in the 1800s to rival the beauty and splendor of the French Quarter. Find out where movies were filmed in the area, and view from the outside the current and former homes of celebrities such as the writer Anne Rice and the actor Nicholas Cage, and the house were Jefferson Davis died.

Expect to walk at a leisurely pace with plenty of rest stops and photo ops.

I think the tour guide started out well but he went way over the time outlined in the description which was frustrating to us because we had planned on another museum visit and couldn't make it because of how long this tour went.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. He made appropriate adjustments for my handicap husband without taking any stops away which means alot to us. We really enjoyed ourselves and this area.

Our tour guide was a young guy from Transylvania named Bobby. He was amazing! It rained steadily while he guided us around the Garden District and still we loved it. Bobby had great stories, lots of information and fielded all of our questions to the best of his knowledge. We wished we could have also done a ghost/vampire tour with him. Highly recommend this tour—be sure and ask for BOBBY!

It was hot. The guide was Toast. He did a great job explaining the architecture and its history. We moved at an appropriate pace for the heat. Toast had good stories about what went on in the area from 1700’s to now.

Our favorite part was the homes and their history. Our tour guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. A whole hour of the tour was walking around 4 sides of a cemetery. This was way too much. One side with 15 min would have been fine.
