Jim was an awesome guide. Lifelong New Yorker with lots of insight. Took time to make sure you had a good experience.
Great 911 Tour
Suzanne_D, Dec 2023
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable with history - very thorough in bringing the historical and current building histories together.
Reflecting on why we love our country

Remembering all those Americans who lost their lives & those who stepped up immediately We love our country
9/11 2023 Experience
Anna_C, Jul 2023
Awesome experience!! Our tour guide was outstanding. He provided us an awesome experience with lots of history about 9/11 that we never knew. He even took the time to take photos of us & knew all the perfect angles to take it. Highly recommend this tour well worth the money!!!
Great tour! Highly recommend.
Jaime_F, Jun 2023
Jim was great! Kept us interested the whole time, was super friendly and knowledgeable. This tour was the perfect length, with so much added info that I didn’t know previously. I really appreciated the info on all the extra stops.
Great tour

Jim was a great tour guide, full of a lot of great information and it was a really wonderful experience. I had been to the memorial before but I learned a lot of new things on this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Chris_S, Dec 2022
Our guide Jim was fantastic! The tour was great for a sad and emotional place. No more to say thanks Viator!
Great tour
Lorraine_S, Dec 2022
Our guide Jim was full of local Knowledge and gave a really personal Account of the devastation of 9/11 from a native New Yorker perspective. I feel we learnt things and saw sites we wouldn’t have done if we had visited this independently. The memorial in the American Express building in particular.
The tour went ahead with...
Suzie_j, Nov 2022
The tour went ahead with only 2 couples thankfully, because it was the best tour we did. Jim the tour guide was funny, obliging to our questions and very informative.
Total disaster, walking tour 9/11.
Jim_B, Nov 2022
We arrived at the appointed rendezvous at 1210 for our 1230 tour, where we met another couple waiting for the same tour. The weather was extremely cold, with wind chill it was low 20c. We waited, the four of us until 1245 when we found our tour guide. He claimed to have been walking around since 12 noon which was a lie!! The green flag he should have produced was in his pocket and NOT visible. The man was extremely rude and talked over everyone, claiming he was about to go home just before we arrived. He was so rude and objectionable that the four of us refused to go with him due to his aggressive and rude attitude. He had a real problem. He only apologised after some ten minutes for part of his rudeness and abruptness, nothing else!! More than disappointed. Should we NOT be recompensed in full I will share this review elsewhere as it is not to be recommended with this “tour guide”. As we did not go one the tour, I would like a complete refund.
Learning about the church...
Jackie_T, Nov 2022
Learning about the church and other buildings that assisted in the rescue was interesting. Too much time spent in and talking about the Oculus.
Came away confused and not informed about the actual events
Brendan_K, Oct 2022
It was very informative, but maybe a little too much to take in. Not concentrated enough on the actual events of the day and the aftermath. More about NY city and the surrounding areas snd its makeup. More based on Architecture and buildings and not the when, where, how. Did not engage with the people on the your on any personal basis.
Not a 9/11 tour
David_A, Oct 2022
It didn’t feel like a 9/11 walking tour. We did 4 walking tours in NYC, the other were amazing, this one was a waste of time. The guide was very nice but the contents of the tour has very little to do about telling the story of 9/11.
Jim was knowledgeable,...
Curt_L, Oct 2022
Jim was knowledgeable, funny, and a pleasure to spend two hours with learning about all the surrounding areas of 9/11.
Great walking tour
Natalie_S, Oct 2022
A very moving and informative tour of the 9/11 memorials and ground zero area showing how New York has emerged bigger and stronger in the aftermath of the terrorist attack. Our guide took the time to relate a very personal perspective on the events of that day
Ground zero
Cindy_S, Sep 2022
The history of the area in general was very informative. Our guide, I think Jim, had a lot of knowledge of the area. The firefighters memorial was touching.
Bait and switch
Tchicaya_R, Sep 2022
I missed the tour. So my rating is based on the booking. It appeared as if I was booking with the official 911 Memorial. But it was a third party tour. It was a bait n switch. Disclose this to your prospective customers.

Horrible experience with bus and getting us to boat ride timely. I was walking in the boat and they told me it was to late and I had to come back the next morning. Plus how the guys on the street lied and told us they will stop at Ellis island and would allow us to tour. We was lied to about the tour when we/I asked specific questions and they lied to us to get the sale. It was a wait of our time!
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Hi and thanks for this feedback. I'm not sure that this review is for the right activity but I am sorry for the experience you had. This activity is exclusively a tour of the 9/11 Memorial and surrounding area done on foot. There is no bus or boat involved and The Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island is not included and the tour is sold on Viator. If this review is for this activity please contact me using the information on your voucher so we can discuss this further.
Perfect walking tour
Abbie_w, Aug 2022
Jim was brilliant with everything he showed us and explained to us. Humour was appreciated and targeted well. Was lovely and poignant to hear his own story of 9/11 Overall 10/10 would definitely recommend doing this if in the area
