    Viator boat ride in NYC
    Arnold_W, Apr 2024
We showed up at the correct time to meet the Viator guide and no one showed up. We carried contacting Viator and we were unable to reach a real person. We had prepaid and so far have had no luck getting on touch with them. We also spent $78 on Ubers which was a loss.
    Sold a bag of beans

I bought the package as it says online you are able to skip the line, but they need to specify that it's only the line to pay for the ticket and not the real line that takes up to 2+ hours in for security that everyone stands in. The tour guide was disconnected from the majority of the group and by the end of the tour, there was only 4 out of a group of at least 17 that stayed. We would have been better served just doing everything on our own. First time I regretted using a Viator tour and will definitely look closer next time. When talking to Cesar (Manager) you just got the sense that this is common practice and they get this line complaint all the time but refuse to change their website stating that you can skip the lines.
    Good but rushed

Good but all a bit manic. Guide was really knowledgeable but very rushed. Didn't bother going with her to Ground Zero as she was rushing too much on Ennis Island.
    Very good experience

    Biggest Scam Ever
    Chris_T, Mar 2024
Worst experience ever. This tour wasn't a tour at all. More of a scam to be honest. Our tour was scheduled with Cesar for 11:30 however when Cesar arrived, we were handed off to another guide, LeeAnn. When the tour started we spent about 2 hrs with LeeAnn in the security line waiting to board the Ferry to the statue. After about 2.5 gruesome hours of long lines and endless standing, we finally boarded the ferry and our tour guide, LeeAnn was never to be seen again. So basically we paid about $400 to hear stories of the statue to only be sent out to self guide ourselves. Remind you this was suppose to be a 5 hour tour. She was not at the meet up points that she claimed she would be at, she didn't have any type of vest or flag to be identified or nothing. Biggest scam ever.
Amazing time; all bookings were great!!! Tour guide for Statue of Liberty and 911 Pools/museum was awesome!

The knowledge of the tour guide was amazing. It is nice when you are visiting and taking a tour that you get a guide who is passionate about what they do. Leanne Littlestone was the best tour guide we could have ever asked for!
    Gail Was a Great Guide!
    Mary_R, Jan 2024
Seeing these places in person was quite memorable. The place that I appreciated seeing most was the 911 Memorial. I did not expect that. Our guide, Gail was a fount of knowledge! She not only told us about all the places we visited, but gave us ideas of other things to do and how to use the subway and save on Lyft. By the time we got to the 911 Memorial, we were the only two left on the tour. (It was January and our group started with only 8). Gail graciously walked us around a few more places on her way to the subway. She was going our way and rode the subway with us to the stop by our hotel. She’s a life time New Yorker and made the tour wonderful. Lots of insights into what is was like to be in New York on 911. I’d love to have her show me more some day.
    Fantastic Experience

LeeAnn was an amazing tour guide. Her personal stories and awesome energy were fantastic, and we all enjoyed our time with her.
    Not good experience
    Hector_C, Nov 2023
My tour would start at 11:30 a.m. My plan was to get to the parking lot and be in front of Starbucks by 11:00 AM. to meet my tour guide. But when there were six minutes left to arrive, a traffic accident occurred and I couldn't get away to continue on my way and arrive at 11:00. I arrived in front of Starbucks at 11:27 just at that moment I received a call from the tour guide named Cesar who spoke to me in a harsh tone and asked me where I was, I answered that on Bridge st. (in front of Starbucks), I don't know what the guide understood but with a harsh and exclamatory tone he told me that I had to hurry and I don't remember what else and he hung up the call. At 10:35 he called me again to tell me that the next tour left at 1:00 p.m. and if I wanted that tour, I would have to pay $25.00 more per ticket. I replied that I didn't like at all the way he spoke to me on the first call and I said obscene words to him and then I hung up the call and couldn't take the tour, thus wasting $514.00 dollars that I had raised with a lot of sacrifice. If you give me my money back I would greatly appreciate it, because the guide's service and his tone of speech were truly pathetic.
    WHAT A LETDOWN!
    Anonymous, Nov 2023
On Monday, October 9, 2023, we met up with our tour director, Sam, for our excursion to Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island Museum, and finally, The 911 Memorial. There were approximately 35 people in our group. It was a beautiful day, but very windy and brisk, in the mid 50’s. Mr. Sam was extremely knowledgeable. However, he was very poor when it came to handling the group to imparting his knowledge or giving instructions. You could not hear nor understand him. He focused directly on a person next to him. I had to leave the group on one instance in my electric wheelchair to get in the sunlight as I was freezing. Mr. Sam spent entirely too much time giving indistinguishable talks, that they ate into our time to tour the actual grounds/museums/gift shops/restrooms. On one occasion we only had about 20 minutes. We never did find Mr. Sam after the Ellis Island visit, and we had to find the 911 Memorial on our own. Our tour with Viator was less than useful. Mr. Sam needs to have some sort of mic system to be heard by a group. We observed other groups with these devices. He would do well to use one. Sorry to say we will have to think twice about using Viator's services in future.
    Fabrice was the best!
    Kelly_M, Sep 2023
Fabrice was such a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the city and its history. He was very helpful and even showed us how to get back up to Midtown Manhattan on the subway. It was a most enjoyable and educational tour that I highly recommend.
    Awesome, fantastic Tour!!!

We booked a tour of The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and 911 pools, with and additional entrance ticket to the 911 museum. I am happy to say the whole experience from start to finish was fantastic….I think mainly to due with our wonderful, informative, tour guide “Vivian” who made us feel special and wanted us to get the most of our tour. Despite the torrential down pour while visiting the Lady of Liberty and Ellis Island…we were informed of so much history and information inside the museums. Finally the sun came out for our 911 pools tour and once again Vivian took the extra time to show us so much that we would have not seen or information we could not have gotten on our own. Vivian also made sure we were in the right line up and gave us a bit of a preview to the 911 museum…..although emotional and sad, well worth the visit and could have spent more time in the museum if not already overwhelmed from a wonderful and memorable day with Vivian. I would certainly recommend this tour and hope that everyone would get Vivian for your guide or someone just as fantastic, wonderful, experienced and knowledgeable.
Fabulous experience for me and my family!

Our tour guide, Febreese (sp) was awesome! He had so much knowledge about everything that we saw and he was entertaining. Totally worth it!!

Walking tour of Liberty Island, Ellis Island, and Ground Zero Memorial Tour - our tour Guide (Lianne - not sure if Jewish spelling) is truly exceptional and knowledgeable tour industry specialist. She is most knowledgeable of the New York City history, culture, and her stories of the first immigrants as well as the construction of the Statue of Liberty were remarkable! Tour group on behalf of Viator was Attractions4us LLC = terrific!
    We had an amazing host,...
    LISA_D, Aug 2023
We had an amazing host, Vivian. She was very knowledgeable and energetic. We booked a trip for Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, 9/11. We never made it to Ellis island, we also never had a bus- which we thought we would. Lines to get on the ferry were over 75 minutes which lessened time we spent elsewhere. We could have easily done this on our own but we did love our tour guide- she was the best
    The guide was informative...
    Julie_I, Aug 2023
The guide was informative but too long winded. We didn’t have a lot of time to walk around on our own. Long lines waiting for boats. We missed 911 memorial because the tour was longer than advertised.
