Whitney
Barbara_P, Apr 2024
Great exhibition and tour, highly recommended We loved it lots, thanks walked the high level line after
Aggravating and no benefit. Whitney personnel said I was mis directed to viator instead of directly to the Whitney Museu
Richard_O, Oct 2023
Thinking Viator was connected with and accepted by the Whitney Museum- they did not accept the reservation sent me by viator!
Favorite museum in NYC
Stuart_P, Jun 2023
The new (to us) museum is beautiful and really is my favorite NYC museum. We visit all the major ones. Be sure to walk the High Line one way or the other, or both.
Small museum to begin with, and half of it was closed.
Scott_M, Apr 2023
Much of museum's exhibit floors were closed. The half that was open could be viewed in about 30-40 mins. Not worth the time to go, when there is so much else in NYC to do that can be a better use of your time.
Very educational day.
Fernando_D, Apr 2023
I found the hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico exhibit very educational. The artistic presentations were very enlightening.
A touch of Hopper
Catherine_G, Mar 2023
Volume of photos on display. Wonderful exhibit. I had at least four favorites. If it comes to my city I will definitely go to see it again.
Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney
Linda_T, Mar 2023
The exhibit was extensive and beautiful. The Whitney’s architecture is also beautiful with its views. As a former guide at The Breakers in Newport, I conducted tours through Gertrude Vanderbilt’s childhood room. Once had the granddaughter of artist Raimundo Madrazo in my tour. Madrazo’s painting of GVW is in the room at The Breakers. I respect The Whitney as the creation of Gertrude Vanderbilt.
Great enjoyable.
Rosalind_G, Mar 2023
The Edward Hopper show was fantastic. A little too crowded for my liking but it ‘s understandable as it towards the end of the showing. Staff was very nice & helpful.
Outside View
Kathleen_M, Mar 2023
The outdoor exhibits and getting a Birdseye view of what is around the neighborhood like the Highline in the little island, etc.
Visiting the Whitney Museum in NYC
Lynn_R, Feb 2023
My group was able to enter the Museum 15minutes earlier than expected. We enjoyed the exhibit. The Whitney is an important stop on any NYC visit.
Disappointing
Susan_L, Feb 2023
We were sold a 5 o’clock ticket at $25. Each for a special exhibit in a museum that closed at 6. Too crowded to see the entire show let alone anything else in the museum including the shop. In addition, the artist’s most beloved piece was not included. Very disappointed in theWhitney.
Pure pleasure
Sheila_J, Feb 2023
My brother who died a few years ago and I miss with all my heart. Hopper was his favorite artist so it made me feel close to brother.
Great show but disorganized
wrobin5626, Feb 2023
Great show - really crowded and really disorganized. A little signage or 40 seconds of direction would have helped.
OverCrowded
Elizabeth_M, Feb 2023
Too many people at the exhibit made it hard to see the paintings. I recommend larger print in the signs.
Disappointing.
Phyllis_R, Feb 2023
Waaaay too crowded. Insufficient bathrooms as well. No place to park, no garages anywhere. There’s no more to say
What is the purpose of...
Mary_C, Feb 2023
What is the purpose of having a time slot ticket when it is so crowded you cannot see the art. The hopper exhibit was 10 people deep
Ed Hopper
Charlotte_J, Feb 2023
I appreciate Ed Hopper’s works. The Whitney is the bomb! I enjoyed many of the exhibits while visiting.
A little Hopper and a “Little Island”
Maria_C, Feb 2023
The “new” Whitney is wonderful! Vast exhibit spaces, delightful cafe and easy elevator access. The Hopper exhibit was comprehensive and a joy to experience. Visit “Little Island” park across the street for a surprising treat!
Hopper fan’s dream
Mike_K, Feb 2023
I have been an admirer of Edward Hopper’s work for years. And this well-done exhibition was very inspiring.
Great art museum.
Richard_S, Feb 2023
The entire thing. The art, the people, the ambience, the cafe. The retrospective of an important American artist whose works are rarely exhibited in such number.
