What To Expect

Ease the stress of switching airports while making a connection in New York with a private airport transfer. A professional driver will pick you up at the airport where your first flight arrives—John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Travel in a comfortable sedan for up to three passengers, or a minivan for up to five passengers, then relax as your driver handles the traffic and delivers you and your luggage to the New York-area airport where your next flight segment departs. 

Please provide arrival and departure flight and airport details when making your booking. You’ll receive confirmation within 24 hours and a voucher to show the driver. It’s that simple!

Please note: This is an inter-airport transfer service and is not suitable for travel to NYC hotels or private residences.

Price is per person, based on three passengers per sedan or five per minivan.

Additional Info

  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • The duration of transfers is approximate; the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase and 1 SMALL carry-on bag. Oversized or excessive luggage (e.g. surfboards, golf clubs or bikes) may have certain restrictions; please inquire with the operator prior to travel to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable
  • When selecting a vehicle size, please consider the storage capacity for luggage based on number of passengers. For larger groups with larger items, multiple vehicles may be more appropriate
  • Wheelchair accessible; please advise at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required
  • Service animals allowed
  • International arrivals: Your driver allows a waiting time of up to one hour; after that, you will be charged a convenience fee. Major credit cards are accepted and receipts are provided upon request
  • Child seats are required for children 8 and under by law and are not provided by the local supplier
  • Price is per person, based on three passengers per sedan or five per minivan
  • Most travelers can participate

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The service in general was ok but the driver was not so nice. Didn’t help us with our bags and the only thing he said was “ the tolls and tips are not included, you have to pay”. We were very disappointed.

Driver was most nice. Procedures in NYC hardly make private transfer worthwhile unless you know you are arriving at bad time. Too much walking with no help as drivers aren’t allowed inside to meet the driver. Driver not on site. Car not special. Okay, sort of reliable but special.

Terrible experience

Driver late and accused us of waiting in the wrong place. He was incredibly rude and hardly spoke English. He drove like a maniac and was watching videos on his phone while driving! Aggressive about a tip and would only accept the largest tip of 35%. An awful experience. We feel a refund of his tip is appropriate as his service was non-existance.

Too expensive

The driver was okay. I was aware that I was responsible for tolls however 200 canadian dollars I paid to be transferred from JFK to Newark then was stuck paying 57 USA dollars for tolls in which I did not even get a receipt for. I find it hard to believe people pay that much money in tolls daily to go from New York to Jersey. I feel I got scammed.

The driver arrived very quickly after we called and was pleasant during our trip between airports. He even encouraged us to fly stand by if there was an earlier flight. We did ask and were able to catch another flight home cutting our stay in the airport from 10 hours to 1 hour. Very grateful.

The best way to transfer between airports!

The car and driver were first rate. We arrived at JFK and needed to go to a long term parking facility at EWR to get our car during the Friday afternoon rush hour. Having a great car booked ahead of time let us know exactly what we'd pay with no surprises during rush hour and the car's seats were much more comfortable than any cab could have been for the one hour and fifty minutes it took to get us to EWR. This is the way to go. Also, the phone operator was super friendly and helpful.

Driver? No English speaking and lied about tolls

The good stuff: * customer service people at Carmel were responsive and helpful when I spoke with them at the airport when we arrived at JFK; both phone calls informative and nice; * the ride was efficient and the driver showed up within minutes just like the phone agent said they would; That’s where the good stuff ends. The Bad Stuff: * when trying to book this online through Viator, it failed miserably. I tried numerous times to finalize the reservation while sitting in the airport and on the plane in Vienna, Austria. I tried to use our Viator credits ($56+) and the site failed to finish the reservation so I had to call (while sitting on the plane before takeoff). The agent couldn’t seem to apply our credits either and we got the reservation finalized literally a minute before the plane began its takeoff procedure on the runway. The agent somehow incorrectly booked the reservation for 6/28 instead of 6/27, the date of our arrival. Either that or the Carmel company got it wrong in their system. * the driver spoke no English; * the minivan smelled like a cigarette factory and I soon became nauseous from the smell and opened the rear window, sticking my nose outside in order to breathe; * when we arrived and unloaded, he reminded me I had to pay for tolls (which I remembered) but then he claimed the tolls from JFK to Newark were in excess of $31. That’s an outright lie but it had been a long day after a canceled flight in Europe and I wanted to get home, with still a 90 minute drive ahead of me. I gave the driver $40 cash and he rolled his eyes - even though we couldn’t have a conversation in English - ridiculous considering you’re working in the USA in a customer-facing position where communication with your client is KEY. RIDICULOUS EXPERIENCE especially considering we’d already paid $148 for the transfer from one airport to the other. Are you kidding me? (Looking online for the tolls for the route we traveled, they totaled a maximum of $12.) After a poor review directly to the company, I did receive a phone call from them and was told they would be looking into the situation and tolls and would get back to me again.

The car was smaller than we asked for. The driver was friendly but the car smelled from cigarettes. We asked for the driver to wait for us at passenger pick up as my husband could not walk very far but they were not willing to do so.
