The Louvre

We were not given enough information on where to meet our guid consequently we were late meeting our group. The tour does not start at closing time either, the Louvre closes at 21.30.

This was an excellent experience. Perhaps lucky to have a very small group, our tour guide was personable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to somewhat tailor the tour to the interests of our group and kept it interesting for tweens and adults alike. This was a great introduction to the Louvre and perfect for our limited available time - hitting lots of highlights in just 2 hours from start to finish.

Wei was amazing! He had stories and insight into the art and the building itself. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. The Louvre is so huge, I never would have known where to go to hit the highlights. The two hours flew by!

The louvre in the evening is certainly better than during the day. Our guide was okay… she knew a lot and was interesting, but the audio guides were not working well. She also moved so fast you could Hardly stop to take photos of anything and by the time the tour was done there was no time to see anything else. We left at museum closing, gift stores were closed and they were rushing people out. Also the only piece we really wanted to see was not o the tour and also was roped off on Fridays apparently. It was okay, but I’d suggest get a map and figure out what you want To really see and just book evening tickets.

Thank you for your feed back and the speed of the tour. Unfortunately there is so much to see in the Louvre and too many highlights to touch on. Then there is always the Museum Surprise of closing off areas. Thank you again for taking our tour and we hope the remaining time in Paris was adventurous!

Ruined day. No communication!

None. I got there 25 minutes early and my wife and I could never find the tour guide. We walked everywhere asked many people at the gate and other tour guides. Nobody could help us. We finally texted each other and all I was told is to meet at Venus the Milo. That is inside and our tickets would not let us in. I tried calling him and the tour company and no one answered. Terrible communication and totally ruined our day. We went on two dinner cruises that we had booked and they were great. So Viator does a great job with those.

Our tour guide was lost and disoriented

I met up with the guide outside the museum. We all went inside the museum entrance together and stayed together until we got to the coat check area. The guide did not know how many people she had. She was always unsure of whether everyone was with the group or not. I told her I had an issue with the coat check and the museum was in the process of solving the issue when the guide just left me and the person I am with behind! She had all the tickets to enter the museum and I could not get in without being part of the group. Since the group went off without me, I had to go buy my own tickets to enter into the museum. These tickets I had to purchase were part of the tour I paid for, and now I'm paying for the entrance ticket twice! I reached out to the tour guide through the app, no response ever. I reached out to Viator for a refund after explaining the situation. They couldn't care less and denied me a refund and claimed I was "disoriented and lost" as a reason lol. If anyone was disoriented and lost, it was the tour guide. Side note: I selected the "skip the line" tour and before the group left me, all we did was sit on lines. Not sure what line you are skipping but don't think you'll just walk right in there either. Do yourself a favor and go to the Louvre without Viator. Tickets are $!5 each and you can grab a free map and google all the information you need to know about each piece of art. These guys will just scam you and waste your time/money/energy. Absolutely not worth it

Great to have a knowledgeable guide, makes a big difference. The audio system could have been stronger a few times I couldn't hear what the guide was saying. Overall, I was very pleased. 8 also liked we had some time after the tour concluded to explore and sunset was really pretty.

Perfect time to see the Louvre

Our guide Hugo was very knowledgeable and knew how to maneuver the museum. We skipped the line in and while we were waiting in the Mona Lisa line (no way to skip that), Hugo gave us great insight into the Mona Lisa as well as other objects in the museum. We saw the Venus de Milo and Winged victory. There were another 3-4 Leonardo paintings that are lesser known but beautiful with some reminiscence of the Mona Lisa smile in one of them. Two hour tour with another hour after that if you want. Museum closes late on Wednesday’s.
