Julie was an amazing guide! It was a very large group and we were in such good hands with her. She was friendly and fun and extremely knowledgeable. The market was amazing and our picnic lunch was perfect. To be honest, the palace itself was our least favorite part. It was very crowded with room after room after room of old paintings and tapestries. But biking through the grounds, visiting the smaller buildings, and hearing history from Julie was absolutely worth it.

The way to see Versailles!
Leslie_A, May 2024
We ABSOLUTELY LOVED our guide Joris (Joe)! He was so much fun! We had some inclement weather but that did not stop us from getting the best experience possible. He first let us spend some time in a traditional market which was fabulous (we ended up going back there before heading back to Paris and ate at a lovely little bistro). Instead of having a picnic we dined at the lovely restaurant on the grounds (La Flotille). The bike ride was so much fun and it was mostly flat the entire ride. Joris gave us plenty of time at each stop and we took his recommendations when exploring the beautiful gardens at Le Petit Trianon and Marie Antoinette’s hamlet. He got us safely to the entrance of the grand palace itself where we said our goodbyes. Before he left he gave us great recommendations for dining close to our hotel and a map of getting back to the train station. I cannot express how much fun we had on the bikes and with Joris! Highly recommend Blue Fox Travel and this tour!!!
A great day in Versailles...

A great day in Versailles with Gillaume! Truly a wonderful experience and I wish we had been able to spend more time at the Petite Trianon and skip the palace.
Versailles day tour
Kat, Apr 2024
It rained on our day and it was cold, but the Palace was impressive and the town market was a highlight of our trip. One of our tickets on the return train didn't work, but we managed to get it worked out at the station.
Versailles bike tour was great

Our tour guide Guilliume was outstanding…funny and engaging. Although chilly on ride, it was well worth it. Picnic was fun for family.
Great way to see Versailles

If you want to experience most of Versailles in a day then this is a great way to do it. Though the Palace is incredible experience my favorite place to visit was the Queen's Hamlet which is on the opposite side of the Palace or a 30 to 45 min walk away. Our guide Linae was amazing and I learned a lot about french history As well as seeing a lot of the grounds of Versailles. If your really into just seeing the Palace and all of it's many rooms and just walking the immediate surrounding Gardens then this in and of itself is an all day experience and you should plan to spend a day just at the Palace but if you want to get a taste of everything then highly recommend doing it my bike.
A Royal Roll (stroll) outside of Paris
Olivia_G, Apr 2024
This is a great way to spend a relaxing day outside of Paris. This was totally worth the value because you get to tour a little of Versailles outside the palace, get a mini food tasting and of course end at the palace. The company provides ponchos and hand gloves for rain and/or cold weather so you don’t need to go out of your way to buy/carry extra gear. Our guide Mapi was funny and extremely knowledgeable which made for fun history lessons.
Best way to view the gardens
Jason_C, Apr 2024
We had a beautiful day out, starting with a quick train ride followed by a short walk to the local markets to pick up some lovely food for our picnic lunch. Then we hopped on the bikes and headed to the Palace Gardens to be lead around by our very knowledgeable guide. Lots of time to explore the different parts of the palace and gardens before heading back to Paris on the train at our own leisure.

Such a fun tour riding a bike through Versailles. Having lunch at Angelina’s and the touring Versailles. I definitely could’ve spent another day there. The palace is absolutely breathtaking. It’s opulent just as you can imagine. Our guide was amazing and super fun and very informative! We totally lucked out with him.
Great experience

The guide was absolutely the best! Great historical knowledge and positive attitude, even as it rained some during the day. Highly recommend
Fantastic bike tour day
Elexa_R, Apr 2024
An amazing day in Versailles! Loved getting to explore the market and pick out lunch for a beautiful picnic in the park. Such a fun way to explore Versailles that’s different than a regular tour of the chateau. Lucien is great is has so much good knowledge to share while being a fun guide!
Lena was an excellent...

Let's Go For A Bike Ride!
Brian_B, Apr 2024
Joe was the best guide ever! So much energy and love for his tour and city. We had a great ride around Versailles and his knowledge was the tops! Had a great picnic and bike ride. Note for future riders: The total mileage biked was approximately 5 miles :)
Loved it but would do different
Paloma_K, Apr 2024
I did enjoy this tour! Don’t get me wrong. But I would do things differently. The bikes are not used at the actual palace. They are used to get to 2 on-site locations + lunch. By the time we got to the palace & returned the bikes we were so worn out. We explored the palace but didn’t have the energy for the gardens which was the part I was looking forward to most. Our guide was amazinggggggg! I think his name was Ivan. Made the history come to life & we enjoyed learning from him. He was very polite & fun to be around. Shopping in the market + having the picnic was very fun too. Such a cute experience. I felt like the tour coulda skipped the first monument. The summer home & saved our energy for the best parts.
A wonderful way to see more of Versailles than the actual castle
Deb_M, Apr 2024
We had Julie as our tour guide. She was fabulous! Gave us history that we would never have learned from textbooks. It was fun and well paced. A highlight was getting to choose our lunch to bring on the ride (and eat on the grass) from the open air market - an unforgettable experience of French life. Got to see the Olympic Equestrian Stadium being built and the gardens of the Trianons were just gorgeous with their blooms in the springtime! Highly recommend this tour :)
Fun and unique experience
Ashley_S, Apr 2024
Our guide Jo made the experience very fun and informative. Riding bikes made the tour even more enjoyable. All of the stops are unique and stunning. Be prepared to do a lot of walking/biking at a moderate pace with a 1-speed bike. I wish we had more time at each location but to see it all would take 2+ days.
Great Tour & Great Guide
Luis_M, Apr 2024
Loved this tour. Our guide was informative, funny and, generally, just great. She made a great experience an awesome one. Would gladly recommend this tour and our guide to all.
Family with 5 kids and we loved it!

Perfect way to see Versailles
Annette_H, Mar 2024
Loved our tour with Clementine…knowledgeable-professional. Just a little more time at the Hamlet and it would be a five
Fun experience for families
robyn_p, Mar 2024
Great experience for families with children. We met with our guide in Paris and took the 40 minutes train ride to Versailles. If you come on Wednesdays and Fridays you can enjoy the outdoors market. The bikes were comfortable and easy to ride. Our littlest rode on a tandem bike. The ride from the bike pick up place to the Versailles grounds was a little scary for the little ones because of car traffic but once inside it was great. Our tour guide, Irving, was knowledgeable and patient. Our kids learned so much and apparently enjoyed themselves enough to quiz each other on the history French monarchy and French Revolution on the way back. Highly recommend!
Best day at Versailles
