My wife and I were in France for our honeymoon and wanted one day away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. This was one of the absolute highlights of our stay in France. Hugo, our tour guide, was a blast. He was incredibly kind and funny, very knowledgeable of the region and history, and gave us great insight for the rest of our stay in France. The bus ride is a long one (and COLD, the heat wasn't working on ours and the June weather was anything but seasonal), but your patience will be rewarded. Chambord is stunning. We were able to spend about 90 minutes roaming around the property. There wasn't much of a crowd, so we were able to see just about everything before we left. The lunch at the winery was delicious as was the wine. You will get a second wine tasting at Chenonceau before touring the property. You'll have roughly an hour here before you head back to Paris. We both HIGHLY recommend this trip.

Fairytale
Khin_Z, Apr 2024
Beyond beautiful, like a fairytale. Tour guides,Sid and Goran (apologize for the misspelled names), were not only knowledge but makes history fun and exciting with their personalities.
Too rushed
Francisco_F, Apr 2024
Too rushed, not enough time at either of the castles, no time for lunch and no reason to stop twice at gas station.
Take a smaller, more personalized tour
Laura_S, Apr 2024
Time management was an issue. Twice we had to wait for late tour members. Once was at the rest stop, 10 minutes. At least they apologized. Next was a little over 20 minutes. I respect that the tour guides cannot control this but it really cut into our time. Made the tour feel rushed. I'd recommend taking a more personalized tour, a smaller group, cost it higher but you will not have to deal with inconsiderate tourmates, who have no respect for others. Sid and Goran were informative. Wine tasting was nice, castles were beautiful.
Great time in the country
Emily_C, Apr 2024
We had a great time on the tour! You visit two castles, do a short wine tasting at the second castle, and visit a small town for lunch in between. There is a lot of driving on the bus in between so I got in about five different naps which was great for the jetlag! Our guide Goran had great information, was patient with questions, and was a very nice guy. Yes, I wish there was more time at the castles, but there is really just no way to add in more time. Overall great experience and nice to take a break from the bustle of Paris!
Charming Chateaux!
RoseAnn_M, Apr 2024
The tour was very organized! We met Sid promptly at 7:00 am at the Catacombs in Paris. The scenery along the way to Chambord was beautiful. Gorgeous chateau! On to Blois for lunch, then to Chenonceau. It was an experience to walk thru the rooms, the kitchen and the gardens. Glad we took this tour! The only downside to this adventure was the fact that several group members were late returning to the bus. This ultimately cut down our time at Chenonceau by about 20 minutes. It didn’t take away from the experience however. Sid was an outstanding tour guide, informative, humorous and helpful! Marco navigated the traffic superbly. There was another tour guide, can’t remember his name who gave us a lot of historical knowledge!
Castles Lorie Region

Way too rushed at each location. The guides where good, full of information..bus clean and comfortable, but rush, rus, rush....
Great Castles and History
Kathleen_L, Apr 2024
Really enjoyed the tour. Our guides gave us history and back story in a very engaging way that tied the castles together. One improvement would be to begin explanations and events like wine tasting when the vast majority of people are present and not to eat up our time on site waiting for a few stragglers.
Worthwhile tour
Donna_B, Apr 2024
Wonderful tour. A perfect mix of guided tour with information and also free time to explore the castle. Our guides were very helpful.
Goran and Sid were both...
Thomas_M, Apr 2024
Goran and Sid were both very knowledgeable about the castles and even the city of Paris itself. They made it engaging and entertaining! The tour is structured such that you’re given the history prior to arrival so that when you get to the castles you are free to explore on your own. I would recommend it to anyone!
wonderful experience in the Loire
Raksha_S, Apr 2024
Our journey through Loire Valley's castles magical and an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide talked about some wonderful stories of french history and that of the castles. The entire day was amazing being immersed in the beautiful countryside of Loire. Of course, the day is really long and one day might not be enough to completely soak up the beauty of the charming region, however, if you are in Paris and want to escape the hustle for a day - it is a great option. I would, however, mention that some minor details in the organization could be changed - Rdv points (to be closer to public utilities especially at Chenonceau which is a huge area and would allow people to access them while waiting for them), proper estimation and information on the return hour (google map showed an hour more than what they informed when beginning to return). I would not say they are a big concern or a red flag, incorporating some minor adjustments would greatly enhance the ease and enjoyment of planning for future travelers.
Underwhelmed after seeing ⁷Versailles.
RICK_S, Apr 2024
The tour guides were fantastic. Tour well -organized. Informative and funny. I think Chambord should be exchanged for an alternate. It is a bare. Uninteresting edifice. Chenonceau was better. Stopping for lunch in Blois was an exercise in stair climbing. I recommend it to anyone who has never seen it.
Very good day.
Kenneth_T, Apr 2024
Enjoyed seeing both castles, the lunch in the Medieval village of Blois, and also the wine tasting. Both guides, Goran and Riatiak, were both very knowledgeable and personable. Would highly recommend.
Loire valley tour- a fun day

Fairy tale castles brought to life with interesting commentary

Dan the guide was outstanding and the tour well organized. I would recommend anyone coming to Paris to take this trip to the country.
Great day tour!
Greg_R, Apr 2024
Tour guides were excellent. Castles were very pretty and the experience was great. Highly recommended.
Good tour
Charles_M, Apr 2024
Had a good time getting outside of Paris and visiting the country. Only bad thing was on Sundays some of the shops are closed and you will hit traffic going back in Paris.
Amazing tour!
Terri_H, Apr 2024
Highly recommend this tour. It was very well organized, the chateaus were beautiful and our guides, Goran and Themla, were extremely informative. They anlso offered lots of local restaurant and sight recommendations around Paris. Thank you for an amazing experience!
Too Much Time on Bus
Matthew_B, Apr 2024
Perhaps I overlooked something, but I never would have chosen this knowing I would be spending 6+ hours on the bus. That said, the countryside was beautiful and the two castles we visited were both unique. I would say interesting, but there was no audio or guide explaining what you were looking at. Even if you had time (which you don’t) to read some of the descriptions, most were in French only. I know no more than I did prior to the tour. The town we stopped in for lunch was somewhat cute, but you did not have time to do anything but eat and go. If you are going for the wine tasting, you’ll be disappointed as it is just 3 wines and you’ll be done in 10-15 minutes. This tour was just a hit and run…nothing immersive. If you are not able to walk at a brisk pace or do stairs, you will get left behind. This did not apply to me, I just felt bad for some of the older people on the tour who could not keep up.
Castle tour nice
Bonnie_K, Apr 2024
Guide Goran was very knowledgeable and personable. The tour went smoothly. The castles and wine tasting was nice. The gardens beautiful. Well worth the trip. Nice seeing the countryside of France.
