Very informative and enjoyable tour
Louisa_B, May 2024
This full-day tour was well worth the time spent away from Paris while on our vacation. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative, with endless information about the Normandy area and the D-day invasion, as well as the history of the areas we drove through along the way. He communicated well about what to expect throughout the day with regards to planned stops for seeing specific sites, our lunch break, and bathroom breaks.
Wowed in Normandy
Jim_M, May 2024
We had an incredible day exploring the Normandy sites. Yes, it’s a long coach ride but well worth it. Our bus driver (Michael Jordan…not NBA legend but bus driver legend) and our guide, Zoltar, were phenomenal! Such a great day!
Life time experience

Steve our guide was very knowledgeable, kind and engaging. I must say the company that provides the tour was very accommodating. We originally were sold a tour on a day they didn't have one. They quicky rebooked us to a differnt day. To top things off they gave us Orsay tickets to help us move other things around. The tour was one of the best experiences I have ever had! Normandy is a must for Americans visiting that region of France.
So disappointing.

We were so looking forward to this trip! The very afternoon before, it was canceled! This left no time to try to book something else. Maybe this isn’t specifically Viator’s fault, but Viator should investigate the tour operator.
Normandy is best experienced with a guide
Donna_S, May 2024
Our guide was so knowledgeable about history before and after DDay. Small group and well planned out with the right time at each stop. Lunch was good and easy. Worth the money. Do not experience Normandy without a guide.
Normandy Dday cemetery must see.
Eva_P, May 2024
The tour company they did about as good a job as they could. The buses were clean and the drivers seemed very responsible and safe. I did not like the selection of rest stop however. The options may have been limited though. I just felt that the rest stop could’ve been Cleaner and offered more. The tour itself seemed rushed at times. I understand that we covered a lot of ground and our guide did her absolute best to keep us all together and moving on time. She actually did a fantastic job but if I were going to do this again I would do it differently and I would spend the night because it is such a wonderful Tribute and Something and everyone should spend time at. But if you were pressed for time, the tour was a good option. This one should definitely not be missed a very clean very respectful and incredibly well done memorial at the museum.
Normandy day trip was convenient and fulfilling
Anne_C, May 2024
Anne, our guide, was very knowledgeable. She was also aware that visiting the sites would be emotional to most of us. The fact that her grandmother lived at what is now called Utah Beach made it more real 80 years later. Also our bus driver was very skilled. Going to visit the Normandy Beaches on the day trip was the best way to go: a knowledgeable guide and being able to rest on the bus between stops.
DDay Brought to Life

As the daughter of a veteran who fought in WWII, this was profoundly touching. Steve brought history alive in sharing touching stories of D Day.
Very moving day

Normandy beach, overlooking the coast and visiting the cemetery. Just taking in moment and honoring the past.
Lovely day
Christie_L, Apr 2024
Great day, Great tour guide. Highly recommend Steve, he provided lots of good information, laughs and a great experience.
Itinerary was different than what we booked. Be careful!
Kathleen_Z, Apr 2024
I am so disappointed that the itinerary we signed up for is not what we did. This was an expensive and long trip to not be able to see what we thought we were going to see.
D-day experience!
Patrick_N, Apr 2024
General Patton’s gravesite and the numerous crosses at the cemetery! The grounds were impeccable and neat!
A good experience
brad_j, Apr 2024
We really enjoyed the guided trip to Normandy. Our guide Zoltar was knowledgeable, fun, friendly and took care of all the group. A pleasant way to travel and experience the area.
Moving excursion
Theresa_D, Apr 2024
Visiting Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery was very moving. One tip for our guide, "Nicolas": Please slow down when speaking, as you have a very thick accent.
amazing

Thomas_O, Apr 2024
Our guide Steve was terrific. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating. The sites were amazing and we learned a lot. Bus was very comfortable.
Absolutely worth it. You will be moved by the sites. I’m so glad I did this tour.
Rachel_P, Apr 2024
I was able to have a private ceremony at my great uncles grave site. I remember my grandma talking about her brother buried at the American Cemetery in Normandy. I never imagined I’d get here. It was simply beautiful and so impactful. Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. We stopped at several places and I loved the time spent in Arromanches. Highly recommend.
Great
Kathryn_M, Apr 2024
Great tour for individuals interested in World War 2 history. The coach was great, tour guide great, and did a lot in the amount of time of trip given the distance had to travel to get to Normandy.
Great trip for an overview of Normandy, if that's what you're seeking
Connie_M, Apr 2024
The trip is good, but roughly 50% of the time is spent traveling because Normandy is far from Paris city centre. This means each of the 4-5 stops ranged from 30 mins to an hour for each stop. The format of the tour is that the guide tells you about site first. When you arrive at the site, it's up to you to explore and walk around (like a choose your own adventure). Some sites are more interesting than others, but overall it was a good trip that provides some highlights of Normandy and D-Day.
If you only have one day
Gloria_N, Apr 2024
Our guide was great. Obviously loved this part of history. She was a master of American expressions, and related to each member of the tour. A wonderful resource. The stops had enough flexibility to move on when we were all satisfied and to linger when that seemed appropriate.
