Excellent would do again trip.

We boarded at Barrack Jetty and were not only treated to spectacular views sailing away from the city, but the hospitality on board was fantastic. First it was coffee/tea/muffins to get us started. That was followed at a leisurely pace by 4 wine tastings and a cheeseboard. After a good 2 hours we reached the winery for lunch. A bus was waiting to take us the short way to the restaurant. After a pre-ordered lunch and complimentary wine we headed out to two more wineries, a brewery and a chocolate shop, all with not only their products but with nibbles at every stop. Our driver Keith was kind and courteous throughout. This is a trip that is a must.

Boat ride on the Swan River was enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and enjoyed hosting everyone. The morning tea & coffee was very nice. Enjoyed the wine tasting and Charcuterie board while cruising. Garbin Winery was the better of the two wineries. The mother and son were great hosts and shared a lovely charcuterie board during the tasting. Met some nice people that were on the tour with us.

Disappointing trip

It was a beautiful day to be on the Swan River. Unfortunately, the sound system meant we could hear NOTHING about what we were seeing on the river. Friends who recommended the trip said they had an entertaining, easy to hear, running commentary on the sights. We did not. Such a disappointment. Keith, the coach driver, was terrific. We feel cheated of the River tour we hoped, and paid, for.

The price tag of this tour should make it an experience you never forget - in a good way. Be aware that the specialities of the wineries you visit focus on sparklings and ports; so for me, as an avid red wine drinker, it just wasn’t my kind of style; where I could dabble with the options, we were restricted to one drink only so you had to pay for extra. Cheese platter on the boat and fresh grapes from the vines were amazing; lunch option that I had selected was not Mexican (Mexican Salad), more of Asian influence. The boat ride was nice but the four wines we tasted at the start were provided with no descriptors of what we were having other than the type of wine. This tour would be good for people that didn’t really care what they were drinking or eating.

Good commentary, Interesting land marks. Great service throughout. Shame to see plastic wrap used on platters. Surely reusable covers could be used. Too much plastic going to land fill.

Sandalwood winery is just magnificent, enjoyed our lunch there. The girls on the boat were very good looking after the guest and Michael, our bus driver was absolutely fantastic. Good selection of wines tasted through the day Slightly crammed into the river cruise with 8 strangers to a table. Everyone very pleasant and friendly Lunch was mediocre I had chicken salad which was drowned in dressing ! The reason I marked this trip down is the chocolate trip. This is tge second time this has happened We were expecting more than an expectation to buy. Something g ABOUT the chocolate or even seeing something g being produced.The tasting were three tiny little samples of sweets in a paper towel completely underwhelming. Viator needs to sort out this tourists will go to a shop if they want to buy chocolate
