Liz is the best! I don’t think we would have made it to the summit without her. We were all a little nervous before the scramble and with her leading the way, our confidence kicked in and we all had so much fun. It’s definitely challenging but so rewarding. We loved all of her local knowledge and fun personality too!

We are not much of hikers but we really wanted to do this trail and Joseph was extremely patient with us. He guided us along the trail safely to the peak, made sure we gave breaks and had water and snacks for us. It was really a great challenge and victory for us. Highly recommend this tour.

One of the toughest outdoor experiences for me in recent times - bouldering the Camelback! Could not have done it without our tour guide, Michael. Did a great job pacing me and my younger and more physically fit son. Also turned out to be a great photographer - did some great shots of us!

The hike was amazing. Matt was an incredible guide. He gave us the peace of mind and confidence to simply enjoy the beauty of our surroundings and focus on the hike. He was prepared with anything we would need from a safety standpoint and he was able to point out interesting facts along the way that we would have missed on our own. We were surprised with some of the challenges of the terrain. We are novice but we were able to make it to the top and felt like we had really accomplished something when we were done. All around great experience. Thanks Matt!

Great way to start the day with a strenuous hike. Michael made the trip a little less daunting with showing us the way up the trickier sections, explaining the terrain, plant-life, fauna, and history of the area. It’s a good workout with a very rewarding view at the top. Highly recommend this hiking tour!

Great Climb Though A Tad Toasty

July 2 through July 10 was the only time I could get to Scottsdale this year. Friends have just moved here, family events made scheduling tricky and so here I am. I wanted to hike and there aren’t a lot of tours going out in the summer (cos it’s 80,000 degrees). I wanted to climb Camelback and Viator is running one hike a day. Matt was my guide and he was fantastic. Knowledgeable, encouraging and an all around nice guy. We started at 5:30 AM on the Echo Canyon trail. People were already finishing the climb as we started. Up is super challenging and does include a good bit of scrabbling. But the views! I felt well hydrated. Down was harder for me. I was not going to jump rock to rock as some of the more experienced (and/or foolish) climbers could do. We got hit with some good strong sun. Matt knew what to do when I started getting nauseous and got me down that mountain (though I did suggest he just roll me off the side at one point 🤪). We got to the top! Thank you for everything!

This hike was seriously my favorite part of the trip! It is very hard but definitely doable for mostly everyone, I loved that we had guides to give us tips and tricks about arizona and everything that was seen on the hike! The guides were super helpful in every aspect especially since this was our first time! They brought us snacks and cold water for when we got to the top! They were super personable and very easy to talk to, extremely kind people! I would definitely do this hike again and now have fallen in love with hiking! I will be hiking as often as I can from now on!! If you are thinking about doing this hike.. DO IT!! It’s so worth it! Also cannot speak more highly of the guides!!

This is and extreme double diamond climb but our guide, Matt, was amazing. This guy is the real deal. Has hiked and climbed most of the top peaks in America and the world.. Climbed part of Mount Everest. If you are visiting Phoenix and in shape, this climb is a must.

Ryan was a wonderful guide. He was informative and attentive to our needs in terms of pace, breaks, water, snacks and everything we needed for this hike. This hike is strenuous and he carefully picked a route through boulder fields and steeper inclines. We were rewarded with fantastic views and a real sense of accomplishment. He shared interesting stories about his adventure sports and really made this hike special for us.
