What To Expect

Make your way to Corcovado Train Station. On arrival, your eyes are drawn to the summit of Corcovado, from which one of the New7Wonders of the World, the Christ the Redeemer statue (Cristo Redentor), reigns supreme over the city.

With your skip-the-line ticket in hand, hop on-board the next available train to the summit of Corcovado and relax during the short journey to the statue’s 2,300-foot (710-meter) perch. Trains depart regularly.

On arrival at the top, enjoy magnificent views of Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, and pose for photographs beneath the outstretched arms of the statue. Opt for an off-peak time slot if you’d prefer less people in your pictures.

Your return ticket is valid on any train until closing, so feel free to spend as much time as you like at Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor).

Great Private Tour!

This was an amazing private tour. Our guide, Carlos, was there to meet us as soon as we were off of the ship and took us to see the sights of Rio de Janiero. The van was roomy, cool and comfortable. We loved the places they took us to which were not the typical tourist spots. They had water for us on board and got us safely to the airport in time for our flights home. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone spending time in Rio.

It was a very straightforward experience. Once we reached the train station and went to the ticket window. They scanned the Viator Booking Barcode and issued us the tickets for the next train. However, thereafter we were pretty much on our own. We were expecting a guide to help us with the history and explanation on reaching the top of the hill but there was no such arrangement.

Don’t buy as you still have to queue to exchange the voucher for your ticket and to take the train down. Waste of money as I had to queue more than 40 min to take the train to leave.

It is an absolute must if you want to skip the line to visit Corcovado. The line to the train can get very long very early, and buying the skip-the-line voucher will put you in front of everyone else and guarantee you will get on the next train. After you present your voucher, you will receive a ticket and a bracelet from the ticket counter. Make sure you show your bracelet to the staff managing the line because some of them don't seem familiar with the perk.
