What To Expect

Make your own way to the the foot of Sugar Loaf Mountain (Bondinho Pão de Açúcar), and head directly to the entrance marked 'Exclusive Tickets' to exchange your printed voucher for an admission ticket (e-vouchers are not accepted). Then board the next cable car going up the mountain, riding in the fully-enclosed cabin to the top of the mountain. Your ticket entitles you to bypass the main lines for both cable cars, therefore skip-the-line admission is also valid for the second cable car, which takes you to Sugar Loaf's summit.

From the cable car, take in panoramic views of the surrounding scenery, including Copacabana beach, the streets of Rio de Janeiro, and Guanabara Bay. Disembark at the top for great photo ops from the lookout point. If you want a snack or drink, there is a food court and restaurant at the summit where you can purchase a treat.

      This is the only way to visit here. Effortless and plenty of time at each station on the journey to the top. You must remember to PRINT your voucher to redeem your tickets. Excellent value and great if you have limited time in the city.

      Take my advice. Get the Fast Pass. Worth every penny. I went a sunset, which is an extremely busy time and I did not have to wait at all and the lines were sooo long. Best thing out there.

      Traffic was sooo baad in Rio that we were unable to visit Sugarloaf. We signed up for a day long Rio experience. Because of Traffic, we were only able to visit Christ the Redeemer and have lunch. 9 hrs in a van. 6 hours sitting in traffic.

      If visiting Rio, Sugarloaf Mountain is a must. The view is spectacular, there are restaurants and shops on the mountain top. Also, highly recommend the fast pass.

      Worked well print your voucher off before hand and proceed to desk for your tickets, remember to have ID with you for collection. Private air conditioned lounge and straight to the front of every cable car line. Well worth it saved so much time

      It is gorgeous! And a must visit spot. The ticket didn’t warrant the price. We went in the morning and it wasn’t too busy. The front of line pass only worked at the entrance where we were taken a shorter route to the cars. Once we were on the peaks there was no differentiation of front of line ticket holders—once we were able to use the handicap line. There was no written literature given to self guide as noted in the price.

      This "skip the line" was excellent and made my trip up Sugarloaf a much more enjoyable experience. The operators were all well versed in their role and all spoke very good English which made my Sugarloaf visit extremely stress free and enjoyable. I would certainly reccommend it to others and the additional cost was well worth it.

      Useful only during peak season. I went on end of may and the lines weren’t awful. Also, skipping the line does not guarantee boarding the cable car first which is a problem because if the regular line is already boarding and you get to the line you will board at the same time as them, no priority boarding of any kind.
