    Please Arrive 10 Minutes Early. We meet between the 2 green souvenir kiosks in front of the “Colosseo” metro stop - located just outside the lower-level entrance/exit. A representative will be there holding a sign with ''The Tour Guy'' on it.

      The worst tour ever

      This was the worst tour I have ever been on. Our tour guide was in a giant rush the entire tour. Due to her walking so fast she lost 3 of us before we even entered the Colloseum arena area. She spent over 30 minutes trying to find them while we stood around waiting. Finally 2 of the 3 that were lost found us and she hurried us along. My mother who is in her 80's told her she has a problem walking up stairs, but can do it if given a little bit extra time. This was given consideration in the colloseum but when we got to the Pallentin Hill she rushed everyone to a very steep set of more than 50 - 100 stairs. She never looked back to see if everyone was doing OK, all the while you could hear her panting and breathing hard herself. She failed to mention their was a much easier path that the other tour guides were taking with no stairs, but that would have taken a little longer and she was in too big of a hurry. My wife couldn't keep up and stopped and went down the hill and my Mom pushed on trying to reach the top of the stairs with me and my daughters help she made it too the top. All we could hear on our ear pieces was her complaining before we rejoined the group, "where are they, can someone go find them and get the listening devices if they aren't coming because they are very expensive and she will get in trouble if she doesn't get them". After we caught up she was still rushing to the finish line and I 'd had enough and tried to hand her our listening devices and she said I had to separate the earpieces from the receiver device before I can hand them to her. That was the final impression she left on me. All the group was complaining about her the entire time hoping it would get better, but it never did. Will not recommend "The Tour Guy" as long as I live. Wish I could give 0 stars.

      What an amazing tour guide. Ilaria(Hillary) was outstanding. She dealt with everything so well. Super informative and very helpful when you forget your children’s ID cards. Remember your ID!!! We learnt more about Rome in this tour than 2 previous trips combined.

      Excellent tour guide! Although the meeting spot was tough to find during peak season (Easter break) and in the rain. We asked people for help and found our spot so get there early! There are so many people in the area. Our guide had so much to say and I was listening to other guides who didn’t explain as much as ours did. She gave us ample time for photos and kept us moving so we could see it all.

      Siena was a great guide lot sof interesting tidbits of info throughout ensuring we got the best out of the tour even though we had torrential rain and strong wind while we were in roman forum.

      The view of the Roman Forum from the Palentine Hill was magnificent. Being inside of the colosseum was very special. Our guide was ok. He knew a lot but language skills were a little sketchy.

      Tour guide was on time and friendly. Would be better with a 50% refund since we could only understand 50% of the guides comments. We thought this might be a problem with just us until the blank faces of the rest of the group indicated they had the same problem. English was not clear and much of the time was spent with rambling muses about unrelated topics. Easy to tell that most of the group had checked out 50% through the tour.

      The Colosseum was fabulous but truthfully, I think the tour was more of a hindrance than a benefit. It was busy and I totally understand the guide needed to keep to a time schedule but she didn't give us as much time to take photos as I would have liked. We queued for a considerable amount of time to enter the Forum and after 20 mins or so, tour over. Again very rushed. Palatine Hill? Well I can't even remember that getting a mention. Thankfully at the end of the tour we had free time to wander at our own pace but if I were to visit Rome again, I wouldn't book a tour

      Fantastic time! It’s really hard to compress years of history. I really did like how she took us to the viewpoint for the Forum first and then walked us through us through it. My one suggestion is give the group an overview of the change from Republic to Empire so we can get an idea of who came when.

      We booked the tour the same day as the marathon. ‘The Tour Guy’ sent texts keeping me informed of any updates to our meeting location and guidance about possible delays. The tour itself was fantastic! Our tour guide shared so many details of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Worth every penny, would definitely recommend!!

      Fabulous tour with an amazing guide!! Marco brought our tour to life, through stories and a wonderful format easy for my teenage kids to understand. Hands down the best tour we took in Rome. Highly recommend for all ages!!

      Overall a great tour. The meeting place was confusing as the address on my booking led me to the entry rather than to the right meeting place which is outside the metro station.

      We had an enjoyable tour and guide! But finding the meeting location was extremely difficult and stressful and we almost missed our tour. The online instructions through Viator gave an address to meet at which ended up being a giant gate near the Colliseum. The meeting location was nowhere near the address. Fortunately we were early- we walked around for 30 minutes trying to ask other tour companies and employees where to meet our tour guide. We were given different suggestions and walked back and forth and finally someone with a different tour company was able to get us to our meeting location (which was nowhere near where we were looking.) I told this to the tour company and they said it was because we booked on a 3rd party site. So I'd recommend Viator to get updated instructions from The Roman Guy to prevent customers from missing their tour and being disappointed.

      Paid for the floor tour of the colesseum. Our tour guide was so slow and kept sharing slow, useless information about the ruins and platine hill. Then, we got to the colesseum after 2 hours and it was closed. We paid for this tour to see the colesseum and it was wasted on stupid things. Awful, slow, and boring. Waste of money. Came to Italy to see the colesseum and our tour guide didn’t even get us there in time. Sad.

      I'm truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with the Colosseum tour. It's regrettable that you didn't get to see the Colosseum as expected, and I understand how frustrating that must have been, especially after traveling to Italy with the specific intention of visiting such an iconic landmark. The guide did call the office immediately about her error and was mortified about miscalculting her time entry to the Colosseum. It is unfortunate that even the Colosseum Staff would not assist and at least let the group inside without access to Arena Floor. As soon as we got word of this problem our team went into action to partially refund for the majority of the cost on this tour. Once again, I apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience you experienced.       Being on the floor of the arena, imagining what it had been like was an amazing experience. Our guide Daniel was very knowledge and accommodating. A very good trip. Suggest giving better instructions on where to find the guide, outside the metro station.

      Lost 70 mins which led to 20 mins in Roman forum and palatine hill due to name error in party. Part refund refused. Badly delt with situation which took forever which wasn’t resolved they were refused access and complaint unsatisfactory handled won’t use again!

      I have confirmed that there was a ticketing issue on your tour and the Tour Guide tried his best to solve the issue with the Colosseum, unfortunately it ate into the time on the tour.
