What To Expect

Make your way to a restaurant, located in central Rome, to meet your small group of fellow aspiring chefs and local guide.

Spend some time learning how to make pizza from fresh ingredients. You can choose which style you'd like to learn: a Neapolitan with anchovies, a spicy Diavola with pepperoni, a classic Margherita or Marinara.

Then, learn to make a traditional tiramisu, just like nonna would make so you can enjoy it alongside your meal.

After you've prepared and baked your pizzas, sit down to sample the fruits of your labor, accompanied by a drink. Then walk off the calories with a stroll around central Rome.

First of all, this is getting three stars because we made 5 star pizza, no doubt. However, I question why we would make tiramisu as a dessert and serve it luke warm if you know it is only it's best after a day. Choose another dessert. Also, we were told wine would be served. In Italy, we expect good wine, right? Guess again! Wine was never served because the server was "having a busy night." When we asked and were given a glass, it tasted like cooking wine. We were also promised recipes and pictures with a link that does not work. Disappointing...

We haven't received the recipes yet. I was disappointed that the dough we learned how to make, wasn't the same dough that the pizza was made from. It was a great chef and great group but I still want the recipes.

This was such a nice break from all the sightseeing that Rome has to offer. Our chef, Hassan, was a great host and teacher. He’s very funny too! And the pizza was very delicious. Better late than never

Our experience was mixed. We arrived 10 minutes early as we were told. The meeting place is a restaurant and we were directed to sit and wait by the kitchen. The chef showed up 20 minutes later and asked us to wait while he prepared for the class. After waiting for over half an hour, a waitress offered us a drink, my wife and I each had a glass of wine. Finally we were asked to start 45 minutes late. I learned some things, but it was definitely rushed because he had another class starting right after ours. The final kicker was after the class while eating the pizzas we had made, I was given a bill for the 2 glasses of wine. And by the way, the chef is not even Italian.
