The price of the entrance ticket is €19 (€17 + €2 reservation), the remainder is to be understood as additional services which include: check-in agency where we will explain how to reach the entrance and we will provide you with tickets at Inside an envelope with your name; skip-the-line entry and multimedia video
Go to the agency to collect your ticket at least 20 minutes before the entry time. In case of delay there is the risk of not being able to enter. If you are unable to collect your tickets for any reason, your reservation cannot be changed or refunded as tickets are non-refundable.

Well worth the price to skip those long lines!

Other than having a little trouble finding the place to pick up the tickets (a map would be helpful), we had a great experience. It turns out, the office is very close to the Colosseum Metro stop so it’s really convenient. The lines to get in were very long (even in October) so paying to “Skip the Line” was absolutely worth it!

I tried to book official skip the line tickets the day they were released for sale online. All tickets for the 3 days that my itinerary allowed were sold out. I was forced to buy from an agent - at 100% markup. This was disappointing and annoying but I felt I had no choice. The actual mechanics of collecting the tickets and the skip the line entry were fine. Overall I was glad that I bought the tickets as the experience itself was 5 star!!! (I note the Roman Archaeological Society is introducing named tickets to try to prevent the exploitation of tourists)

Hello, I'm sorry but the mechanics are handled by the colosseum, as an agency we have a different website where we can buy the tickets, that' why we have them even if they're sold out.

Tickets Worked, Audio Tour Did Not

The tickets worked fine for Colosseum. We went on a Sunday, early afternoon, in late September and there was hardly a line for those going in as not part of a tour group. In fact, we got into the colosseum quicker than people in tour groups. Unfortunately the app for the guided tour did not work as the app is too outdated for our current phones (Androids that update automatically). The Colosseum sells audio guides for 5.50 euros. According to the booking, Colosseum tickets are 19 euros. I'm not sure if that normally includes palatine hill and roman forum and not sure how much those normally cost if not included.

Self guided tour was good. A bit of a trek to get the voucher. Booked 1230 slot and arrived for the voucher for it to say 1250, so had a 29 mintier wait. This wouldn’t normally bother us. However, we were in a day trip from our cruise holiday. Time was already limited, so we found hanging around frustrating when we had booked a specific time.

Did you want to pay a skip-the-line ticket the same price as the ticket that is sold at the ticket counter by having to wait in line for 2 to 3 hours? In addition, the ticket is the same for Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine. If you were not able to access the other two archaeological sites it is because you tried to visit them 24 hours after the Colosseum, which is explained both on the ticket and by the agency staff at the time of ticket collection. Before leaving a negative review next time be sure to read and understand what you are being told.

As advertised. You have to pick up your tickets 20-30 min before entrance time at a store near the colosseum. We got to skip all the lines which was amazing! If you are wanting self guided and easy entrance this is the option, otherwise for all the context and historical information you will definitely need an in person guide as there is minimal signage and it is very busy!!

First time Rome visitors so I could only judge my experience based on this tour. We happened to visit the Forum on the same day of Giro D’Italia so it was probably 2x as chaotic as normal. Once you get through the crowd, getting into the Coloseo was easy. In spite of the crowds, you can find plenty of places for peace and quiet and learning. Highly recommend downloading a free audio tour of the forum (we used Rick Steves). One thing that would have been helpful would be a little map from the tour office (easy to find) to the entrance (harder to find). Overall great value.

Accurate to the listing. Fast and easy. Ticket exchange office was easy to find. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because one out of three tickets was for a different time. Colosseum staff was nice enough to let us in anyway.
