What To Expect

Meet your Vespa guide and driver directly at your Rome hotel and set off for a driving tour through the streets of the capital. Buzz through busy Piazza Venezia past the landmark “Vittoriano” monument, Colosseum, and Forum to the Circus Maximus, stopping to snap photos and learn about the city’s ancient Roman history from your driver along the way.

Zip away from the bustling center to take in ancient treasures further afield, including the Baths of Caracalla, Appian Way, and Pyramid of Cestius before taking a break in the foodie quarter of Testaccio. Relax over an espresso or gelato before heading up to the Orange Garden atop Aventine Hill to take in views over Rome and pop into the Basilica of Santa Sabina.

End with a ride through the Campo de’ Fiori to check out Rome’s most famous open-air market before a final scenic leg up Palatine Hill before drop-off back at your hotel.

Cherished memory of Rome

By far and away, the feature that made this an exceptionably experience was the warm hospitality and knowledge of our guides, Riccardo and Andy. They were both genuinely committed to ensuring we had an exceptional experience and individually tailored the time to make sure we visited the sites that would be most meaningful for us. I was repeatedly blown away by the depth of the command of history Riccardo had not only of Rome but of many other topics and subjects. He selected the perfect small, family owned pastry shop for a delightful assortment of pastries and cappuccino.

Simone is a very nice guider and driver. The ride is very safe and he will keep explain to me where we are going ,where are we and the some story about the street and Rome. He really good at taking photo, thanks for him I have some very nice Vespa photo to share with my friends and IG. 2 hours trip is passed very fast with this lovely and wonderful ride. I will never stop raving about this experience! Our guides were perfect--they pointed out all the different parts of the city that we wouldn't have noticed! This was such a good introduction to Rome, plan for it to be at the beginning of your trip. Also? They were such good photographers? I'm so happy we did this experience--absolutely worth every cent!

Had a ball! Highly recommend doing this tour, such a fun way to spend 3 hours! We were picked up from our hotel and zoomed through Rome past all the usual site and then of the beaten track, stopped for a morning coffee in a fantastic local cafe then dropped off at our door!

We had such an unforgettable experience on our Vespa tour. I did the tour with my mother who is 60 and my aunt who is 50 and they were a bit hesitant to even do the tour. But by the end they were so glad they did it! It was such a fun way to experience Roma and we were taking to more non touristy places which we all loved. The drivers were very amazing and my driver Ricardo was so informative and made sure to explain things as we drove along. We all felt that it was truly an unforgettable part of the trip!

To say I was nervous about booking a tour on the back of a Vespa in Roman traffic, would be an understatement. First, my wife and I are 69 years old. Would my bladder be able to take three hours of riding on cobblestones? Would I fall off the Vespa and break my hip? What I die in an accident as a result of the insane drivers in Rome? Also, the weight limit was 250 pounds. I weigh 245. Would my morning cappuccino put me over the limit and cause the tires to explode? All these concerns from a guy who used to fearlessly jump off mountains with a rope in his 20s. WTF happened to me, lol? It was not only the best thing we did in Rome, but the best thing we did in Europe and possibly the best Tour we’ve ever taken in our life. We chose to do the private tour. We were picked up at our hotel by two knowledgeable, charming, funny, and extremely informative, drivers on shiny white Vespas They asked us what we had seen and what we would like to see, and tailored the tour to us. Having been to Rome three times before, we said we didn’t need to stop at the major sites like the Colosseum, the pantheon, and the Vatican. While we did circle the Colosseum several times, passed the circus Maximus as well other well known sites, they stopped at things we expressed interest in, the Roman baths, the Appian way, and rode along the Roman walls. We learned A LOT from them. They also drove us through the smaller more colorful neighborhoods of Rome and even stopped for a cappuccino and some pastry. After 5 minutes on the Vespa I stopped gripping on for dear life and sat up in the saddle loving watching Rome go by and feeling very cool. The guides were extremely careful, They drove crazy, and limited bobbing through cars to times when we were stopped at lights. I would do this again in a heart beat and would recommend it to anyone. It was the best day ever.

If I could give this tour 10 out of 5 I would! The best thing I’ve done in all my worldly travels. Marco was amazing, so knowledgeable, kind, friendly & a good safe driver. I think I learnt more about Roman history in 3 hours than I did in a year of studying it at school!! If you go to Rome, do yourself a favour & take this tour, it’s the best!

This was the best tour we went on the whole time we were in Rome. Marco and Jordani looked after us so well and we're so knowledgeable of the city's history! It was the first time my mum and I had been on Vespas and it was an absolute joy. Marco and Jordani were so funny and made us feel like we'd known them for years! We were treated to local coffee and cakes which were to die for. I cannot recommend this experience enough - it's a must for everyone!! Lara & Arlene x

Wonderful experience. I highly recommend the early morning hours. The streets of Rome were quiet and our guides took us to the most interesting places and shared their knowledge about the culture, history, current events, hot spots, and dining along the way.

This was by far my favorite activity in Rome! The crew was so fun and informative. We did this on our first night in Rome and it was great to see the layout of the city as well as getting some amazing video of the colosseum, surrounding architecture.

You MUST do this classic activity! First of all, it was refreshing to be picked up in front of our hotel rather than having to travel to a meeting place. This particular evening, we were the only two people participating in this activity. We were driven around on the back of a Vespa and given a tour (and an interesting narrative) all over the streets of Rome...from the famous sites such as The Trevi Fountain and The Coliseum to the Jewish Ghetto. This was an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind-experience. We had two great guides and were able to frequently stop and take pictures along the way. Any age can participate in this...my granddaughter is 21 and I am 71! Go for it!

An amazing experience. We were a group of four, each with our own lovely driver, who pointed things out and shared interesting tidbits of history and local knowledge throughout the whole experience. We got to get out of the main busy centre, and see some sights a bit out of town including old Roman baths, aquaducts, beautiful residential neighborhoods and an amazing view over the city. The drivers were excellent and we didn’t feel scared at all. Highly recommend this team. Very professional, passionate about their city and super friendly!!
