What To Expect

Start the day with 830am pickup at your hotel in Santiago, then begin the 1.5-hour trip to the Santiago Valley in an air-conditioned minivan. Enjoy views of the scenery along the way, passing gentle, vine-covered hills that shelter lush river valleys.

Make stops at three vineyards throughout the day where you can enjoy tastings. Choose to prepay for one or three tastings, depending on your interests for the day. At each stop, staff will introduce the products, explaining the process behind each bottle.

Pause for lunch at Tanino Restaurant(own expense), halfway through the day, for a gastronomic experience.

At the end of the day, begin the return trip to Santiago, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Our guide Victor was absolutely amazing! He made a great trip even better by sharing knowledge and history of the region and wineries. Very personable and funny! The winery selection and wine tastings were perfect. Would recommend 100 times over!

Tour operator cancelled my tour last minute due to insufficient participant but they didn’t call me to inform me. I only found out when I called them as I haven’t heard from them since payment.

The three wineries we visited were very different from each other so we got to see some of the diversity in Chilean wine making. The guide, Alvaro was excellent. Food at the last winery was superb.

Great tour all around. Victor is a great guy, very funny. The wineries were top notch, including all sorts of sizes and specialties - my favorite one was Bodegas RE, which I would definitely return. Pro tip, if you like anything at the wineries, don't be afraid to buy it, you might not find it elsewhere for the same price or find it at all.

Tour guide was rushing us along and didn’t provide any guidance or want to answer questions. Kept saying we needed to get back early to avoid traffic. I’ve been to wine tours in FR, IT, SP, US, GE and never had such a poor experience

Good afternoon Maria, we have found your booking. March 19th Tittle ***Tour guide was rushing us*** We received information about this group the same day. The RUSHING was at the last stop at lunch being the last stop after visiting 3 wineries. The estimate time for lunch giving is 2 hours. The guide asked several times to please consider asking for the bill after 2 hours and 45 min. And the respond was asking for another bottle of wine after desert . Showing no intention of getting ready to leave. Asked several times and was ignored. This group arrived at 2:15 pm and left at 5:20 pm . It makes us all glad that the customers are able to enjoy this tour. But it is also very important to respect the Guide and Driver at all times. We thank your personal feedback . And this will help future clients.

This wine tasting tour ticked all the boxes…Wine was great! Our guide Victor was excellent! Very comfortable, clean transport. The only thing I would suggest you avoid booking on a public holiday because the return highway traffic was horrendous.

Very good tour to three very nice wineries. Driver and guide were on time. Had plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the wine and grounds. Lunch was very nice as well

English speaking clients…are they second class?

Our review is mixed. Choice of wineries…5 star… excellent!. -Great overview of what the Casa Blanca Valley has to offer. -The scenery on the drive up is beautiful. . -Good heads up on pickup time. They arrived on schedule.. -Bus in good condition. -Driver was care-full The tour company. No stars! …Not so good - was advertised as an English tour. There was 4 out of 14 of the group that could only converse in English. On the presentation during the drive up, and by the tour guide at each winery, approximately only 25% was in English. At the second winery when we arrived, there were extensive explanations provided in Spanish. No mention was made of the fact that there would be English provided by t.he tour. We were never introduced to the winery guide. After more than 10 minutes of presentation by the winery guide in Spanish , my wife asked if we could hear the explanations in English. The wine tour guide became quite angry that my wife dared to interrupted her. “I’m a sommelier and not a tour guide,”. She then came down to our end of the table and very angrily verbally attacked her. I was very surprised that the company tour guide did not come to my wife’s defence. In fact, after we all got on the bus, the bus tour guide gave her a dressing down again in front of the group. “YOU NEED TO BE PATIENT!” Very unprofessional on his part. We have travelled to over 60 Countries with mostly excellent experiences, This one was not. I would hope that the tour company might be more open about their service offerings to English speaking clients. If you expect nothing you are never disappointed. The lunch stop could be improved. Out of our table of 8, only two received the full order.

According to the tittle of this review - Spanish speakers are not consider second class either sir. All Clients are considered important. ***ENGLISH TOUR*** All tours are offered in Spanish and English. Meaning in the group you will find different nationalities. The guide in charge of the group gave information in both language during the day. ***GUIDE AT WINERY*** We did receive the comments of the guides this day as well. She was starting the tastings and was giving the Spanish information first. And once she finished would give the english translation . She explained that she had to finish first in one language to pass to the second language. The tours are offered as Bilingual. All summer season we have had 99% english speakers. Meaning the Spanish have had to share with other foreign clients enjoying the experience. At the 3 wineries the clients receive the information in both languages. ***RESTAURANT*** We have made a formal communication to the restaurante according to this situation, that unfortunately our group suffered this specific day. To make sure our future clients do not have this inconvenient. Thank you for sharing your personal experience . Regards,

Great experience. Guide was fun and the wine was very good. The restaurant stop was any an amazing place and the food was fantastic. We all had a really good time and the whole trip was relaxed, with the timings working perfectly.

Great trip with some wonderful wines and vineyards. Our tour guide started well but lost enthusiasm into the day and erred on rude. Made it clear he wasn’t as enthusiastic about his role after 3 years. Made us all uncomfortable. He may have just been having an off day. It was a shame because he had a very engaging personality initially. Nonetheless, the day was good and I recommend the trip.

Two of the three wineries were good with one (Viñamar) only offering tasting of the cheapest sparkling wine that was not Methode champenoise. I booked an English tour but was with four Portuguese-speaking people who did not speak English, so everything had to be said twice. It was also very difficult at lunch as I could not converse with anyone.

Thank you Mrs. Fran for your personal feedback. According to this day, we had 5 people on this tour. 2 brazilean couples and you , as an english speaker. The tours are offered as Bilingual . Meaning any person can book our tours. This is considered as a Regular Tour. This means the clients share the trip with other travelers. This people are spanish, portuguese or English. This day you where the only english speaker. The guide made the tour in both language. At the wineries also had the tour in both language. At Viña Mar you have PREMIUM SPARKLING Regular tours are offered as bilingual. We thank once again your personal feedback. And we are sure this will help future customers.

Amazing tour, first of all Gabriel Vllablanca with ISTO E CHILE was very helpful in arranging transportation pick up locations and promptly answering any and all questions!! I hope Isto e Chile recognizes the amazing employ they have on their hands. Secondly, tour guide Caroline was amazing, friendly, informative! I thoroughly enjoyed all three tastings, Bodegas RE was probably my favorite!! It definitely amazing trip to consider for a day outside of Santiago or nearby. Do not hesitate to book through viator!!

What a beautiful trip. Our tour guide Victor was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The vineyards we stopped at were amazing with great wines and views. The lunch stop at the end was the perfect way to cap off the day. Travel really wasn’t that bad and was made better with the company we had. Overall highly recommend this.
